Yes, season 1 easily the best, even just for shock value!

I Haven't watched the first two seasons of Game of Thrones season 7. Except these two I should rank the season as
season 4
season 6
season 5
season 3
Now depending on the season 7, which place it deserves.

In release order, with each successive season becoming a little worse, substituting depth and intelligence for Hollywood style "epic" moments, with the overall quality dropping off a cliff with season 5 and never recovering.

Seasons 1-4 I'd rate in my top 10 favorite shows ever, but season 5-7 (so far) are among the worst I willingly choose to watch.

Season 5 is easily the worst for me, that's for sure.

For the best, Season 1, 3, or 6 are all in contention.
