If James Gunn wants to run DC similar to how Kevin Feige runs Marvel and has run Marvel for the better part of a decade and a half, then he has to do the following:
- Build your shared universe but do it in such a way that you are not trying to rush it. Look at how that turned out for the DCEU. Learn from that mistake and build the universe the right way by not rushing projects.
- Cast lesser known actors or B level actors similarly to how Marvel did when they first started out in 2008...then bigger names will want to join future DC projects
- Get big time directors for projects and also writers who know DC source material
- Mid credits and post credits scenes in your movies should build towards your shared universe but little teases here and there so it isn't seen as overkill; especially if you want to build towards a Justice League one day or if you want to have your universe as big as Marvel, then don't rush it
- Make the movies exciting and entertaining with story depth similar to how Marvel first did it back in 2008 and onwards
