I prefer MI3. I like the action in MI2, but some of it was too unrealistic.
I also liked the big Langley heist in the first one (Which was better than the Vatican mission).
Ving Rhames is great in all of them. I like that friendship that had been built up by the third film.
MI3 has great action unlike the first. A certain realism that the second doesn't have as well as a female lead I don't find irritating.
It also had this great behind the scenes feeling (I love that stuff)
ex. The Mask Making, Ethan's relationship with Jules, The Inside of IMF headquarters.
