British comedy is more subtle. American comedy is in your face.

Well, that depends on the writer and the comedy. Anytime someone says British comedy is more sophisticated I think to the Simpsons ep. with Helen Fielding where she says the same thing and then leaves the house a la sped-up Benny Hill, complete with bobbies chasing and underwear rips, and a fart gag to boot.


You ever seen King of the Hill? Watch that tonight on Adult Swim for the dialogue alone.
