I honestly do not mind the new Batman films. I do not understand this outright hatred of the Batman voice. Sure, it's no Conroy but at least its not cancer throat Bale. But people hate it more than Bush's presidency it seems. I admit, the voice isn't great but bareable.
And yeah that chin strap thing is dumb. However, the overall performance is fine to me.

I thought both Batman films offered GREAT action and how they mixed things up were cool. I liked the original idea of Deathstroke being a member of the League of Assassins and forming a splinter cell of it and killing Ra's. And Slade getting his eyepatch because Damian stabbed him in the eye. Or the Grandmaster of the Court of Owls and gasp, it was a woman. Great stuff! Talon basically taking the role of Nobody for Robin was a nice little perk. The animation seems fine, the acting is fine, great action as well. I do wish for better soundtracks, these aren't bad but nothing like Christopher Drake's work.

I will say this - The Dark Knight Returns for example, I want to say I THINK, I WANT TO say the movie is better than the comic. Again, read carefully what I said there, for it is quite hard choice for me. But with these two Batman movies in a second I already decided they are inferior to their comic counter-parts. I do like these more than those JL movies which I thought were crap. I would give maybe a 6.5/10 to both Batman films, which to me means average-ish, not great but not drop-dead crap.

Yes, these Batman movies are generally inferior to the past ones, but I had a blast watching them, lots of fun. We do deserve something better, but right now I'll take this as fun filler material.

I think the DKR animated film is better than the comic myself so don't sweat it. The inner monologues ruin the comic for me some if the stuff the characters say makes me cringe but that dialogue is largely absent in the film thankfully.

I'm not saying it's all bad but when Clark is calling Bruce an idiot and such it doesn't sit well with me. Don't even get me started in some of the things Batman says.

Basically love them all. The New 52 ones I think are pretty great, with the Batman/Greenlantern and Cyborg/Shazam character pairings. I especially like Cyborg/Shazam and really like both characters a lot more after seeing that.

The Batman/Superman team ups are near the top of my list, especially how they try and follow the art style of the comics.
