WTF was going on with Joy, Davos, and Madam Gao? Seems odd for Davos to all of a sudden seem to be working with Gao and Joy seeming to go along with whatever it is Davos is planning.

That didn't quite fit. Maybe if it was a flash-forward to halfway through next season but not appropriate for those characters to already be at that stage.
