I kn:wow:w!
from kissing straight to porn, that's quite a jump!
I wish I saw porn everywhere.

I do! It's delightful! :hyper: It can be a problem sometimes, though. :don'twearkhakistobusinessmeetings:

The simple answer is, it is a "family forum" when it is convenient for the moderator who acted to play that card. In case no one noticed, a lot of moderators make up the rules as they go along (not to say all of them do).
BOOM goes the dynamite.

Well, its true. I am not taking a slight at all moderators. This site has a lot of great moderators. At the same time, we have a few bad apples (I won't say any names. Everyone knows)...who make up rules as they go along and then hide behind vague statements like "This is a family forum". Then they will go and post half nude pictures of Elisha Cuthbert.

Kiss my ass, Matt! I do what I want! :cmad:

Okay, now kiss his ass, Matt.

Now let him do that for a while DL.

Okay, now say "Oh, that's nice, Matt. You're so GOOD at kissing my asS!"

Now Matt, kiss his ass a little harder and say "mMmmMph Mibble -Mimpyh mMmph."

Good. Just like that.

CUT! CUT! CUT!!!!!! Dammit, Lucas. Get out of the shot! We're not ready for the stunt cock, yet! :cmad: Alright, everyone, let's start again from the top. Annnnnd....ACTION!!!!

Maybe if I got some actual DIRECTION I'd know where to go!!!!!!

It's about to get more real in here than one of my family reunions after someone ate all the potato salad. :o

We need DOG LIPS back in Community more.

It is a problem when I was made to agree to certain things when I registered here. The general jist of what I agreed to had me to beleive that I should not post anything that I would not want a 13 year old to see. Clearly that is not the case here and the agreement should changed.
I kind of like what Squeek had to say here. In a backwards sort of way she is actually arguing the same point some of you have made, just from a different point of view.

I mean seriously guys, no-one is saying that this isn't a good site, but "family-friendly" might be stretching the truth a bit. Kind of like claiming 2-3 dependants on your taxes when you're really single and live with your sister and her three kids.

And as Matt pointed out, the truth of this slogan appears to lie more in "usability". Which just makes some of you guys look kind of 'shady':ninja:

I just don't see the logic in forbidding avatars such as the one where it looks like the Transformer is humping a kid but allowing all of the half naked women ones.

They ban an avatar that is slightly suggestive, and yet here is the avatar of a moderator

Here is a thread started by said moderator last month.

I'd certainly want my children reading that thread.

Like I said, family site when it makes a convenient excuse.

In the case of that avvy it's only sexy pics that can be seen in any teen mag,a Transformer in a (cleverly created) sexual act is not the same

As for the thread, well i created the Hottie one and made BHK's avvy so i can't say much.

If I'm not mistaken Hunter, all of those pictures are taken from Maxim which is an adult male magazine. Anyone who flips through the pages can see it is not meant for teens.

Hunter, you have never abused your power as far as I can tell. You have always been a good and fair moderator. I will not judge you for creating an avatar (you do great work, btw). I am not judging Morg for having that avatar or creating that thread (Which I laughed at). There are far better, more valid reasons to judge Morg. The point is, there is an obvious double standard when it comes to the entire "family site" issue. It seems to me, that it is only a card to be played when convenient.

It is true that they are from Maxim or FHM or one of those but the pics themselves are no more sexual than the scene between Bond and Caterino Murino (sp) in Casino Royale which was a PG-13,what i am saying is that avvy is not sexual in nature more sexy ala Baywatch with girls frolicking in Bikini's.......Yes i used frolicking:woot:

Thanks for the avvy compliment,In the case of this thread we are looking into the family nature of SHH,now certainly in community there is greater leeway as regards contents of posts as long as they are not attacks on another poster but the main issue from what i can see is the site banners, which i honestly can't find any logical way to defend.
As for using the rules when it suits,i guess that is case by case and i haven't spent a lot of time in this section to judge if this has occurred, ive never removed anyone's avvy but i did inform JStorm that there had been some complaints from parent members over his Batman and Robin Kissing avvy although i made it clear he was not obligated to remove it.
