I do like the "updated" 2D art style, though.

kind of wish the current SF games would adopt that.

I do like the "updated" 2D art style, though.

I'm pretty sure that's just the HD Remix graphics. And looks...eh, honestly.

Since I don't like the re-drawn graphics I hope there is a filtering option for the classic graphics, something to ease heavy pixelation (at least a bit) on my HD TV.

I thought I saw that that was an option.

It's okay in screens, but it looks awful in motion.

Please, this is Capcom. They will be milking that cow's corpse for that last bit of dust.
I laughed but sadly it's true they will indeed do this. :(

And it's also cause most people see the latest entry as failer too. And his is the most loved game in the series and what most people in fondness the most.

So for those that didn't see the three house . If there is any that missed it.

the other games will be shown in their respective threads

Ultra Street Fighter II Will Come To Other Platforms If It Sells “Extremely Well” Says Capcom . January 22, 2017 . 1:30pm

Series producer Yoshinori Ono discussed in a recent interview why Capcom is returning to Street Fighter II, the challenges of balancing a classic, nostalgic game, and more.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers, an updated version of 1994’s Super Street Fighter II Turbo, is headed to the Nintendo Switch and series producer Yoshinori Ono recently spoke to IGN about the game. In the interview Ono discussed why Capcom is returning to Street Fighter II, the challenges of balancing a classic, nostalgic game, and if there are future plans to bring the remake to other consoles besides the Switch.

When asked why Capcom was returning to Street Fighter II, Ono replied with the following:
“As you may know, this year is the 30th anniversary of Street Fighter,” Ono said. “At the same time, we also got information that the Switch would be coming out. And, we haven’t created a Street Fighter title for Nintendo since Super Street Fighter 4 for the 3DS.”

“We tried to figure out what we can do to bring Street Fighter to Nintendo. Considering how Nintendo caters to a wide audience of users, we wanted to go back to our roots. We thought that Street Fighter 2 would be the right fit, instead of bringing you a new game that would have a more complicated system,” he said.

“Ultra Street FIghter II is based on Street Fighter Turbo, but there are also some new elements added in,” he explained. “So for instance one example is that there are now there are grapple breaks in it. We brought something old and added new seasoning to it so it would be a little bit fresher.”

Ono then spoke a bit about the process of balancing Street Fighter II Turbo:
“The balance for the original Street Fighter II Turbo in the ’90s was OK for that time, but whether it matches the times now is a bit questionable,” Ono explained. “We didn’t want to do a complete overhaul, because then the situation would be, ‘Well, why don’t you just play Street Fighter 5?’ We wanted to keep some sense of what it was like playing in the 90s, but also retune it to match the era now.”

“We’re still in the middle of making the final touches, in terms of the tuning, but we hope we can find something that lands in between. Something that’s nostalgic, but also new at the same time. There are hands-on events here and also in Tokyo, and we see a lot of parents and children coming to play together. We observe and see how they’re actually reacting to it.”

Lastly, Ono revealed that, if Street Fighter II sold well on the Switch, that Capcom would consider releasing it on other platforms.
“If this title sells extremely well we’ll consider it. We put a lot of thought into how this can be fully enjoyed on the Nintendo Switch, so for the time being it’s only going to be on Switch.”

Ultra Street Fighter II supports both local and Internet battles. With local battles, you can use the hardware’s wireless feature to fight against nearby players. With Internet battles, you can participate in “Ranked Matches,” where your “Player Points (PP)” and “Battle Points (BP)” accumulate based on your wins and loses, or “Casual Matches,” where you can fight freely without the effect of points. In Ranked Matches, you can check your ranking based on your points and search for opponents under various conditions. It is the perfect feature to develop your skills.
Types of Ranked Matches

There are four types of Ranked Matches:

 • Quick Match – Searches for players able to fight without setting any conditions.
 • Custom Match – Set conditions and search for a player that you want to fight against.
 • Create Match – Create a lobby where you set the battle rules and such, and wait for the players that you want to fight against to join.
 • Friend Match – Searches for players that you can fight against now from your registered friends list.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will have a first-person mode that uses Switch’s Joy-con controllers called “Fire! Ha-DO-ken,” promotional box art for the game on display at Japanese retailers has revealed.

The box art also reveals that the game will have a high-resolution Street Fighter art gallery featuring over 250 pages of illustrations.

The box art provides no additional information about the first-person mode or art gallery. However, a screenshot of the first-person mode shows a timer at the top of the screen, and a score bar at the bottom of the screen. Several fighters, including M. Bison can be seen on screen at once.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is still to be dated. It will be available for Switch when it launches.

Ultra Street Fighter II Will Have A New First-Person Mode

By Sato . February 13, 2017 . 2:30am A new image of Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers’ Nintendo Switch box has surfaced online recently, confirming a new first-person mode called “Unleash! Ha-Do-Ken.”

31 comments Read >

The name of the new mode actually has a different spelling of Hadoken, by calling it Ha “DO” Ken, or 波Do拳, instead of the traditional kanji spelling of the iconic move, 波動拳. That said, the name will likely get some kind of alternate spelling or play on word for the English version of the game.

[YT]k_1D5By-R98[/YT]

You can actually catch a glimpse of the first-person mode in the game’s announce trailer, at around the 2:08 mark of the above video. While no further details are available, but you’ll get to fight Shadaloo Soldiers in this new mode. There’s also a screenshot that shows a timer and multiple Shadaloo Soldiers, so it looks like it could possibly be some sort of rail shooter mini-game mode.

Furthermore, the box also shows some sort of art gallery mode for the game, which will allow players to check out over 250 pages worth of artwork.
