With no knowledge on why this man wants to kill him so badly, Eddie continues to avoid his attacks by the little hairs on the back of his neck. But as Eddie becomes even closer to getting killed by this mad-man, he accepts his life with the symbiote and once again becomes Venom to finally stop the man and put an end to his attacks.

Really looking forward to reading this, although I'd rather see Carnage than Scorpion, but nonetheless, it should be quite interesting. Don't keep us waiting too long, and good luck!

Carnage is a problem for me, I used to write all my ideas on the computer but now it's being a real pain. I have this virus on my computer that makes it hard to type and sometimes it just randomly exits out of the site and brings me back to my desktop. And, to top it all off, I'm moving tommorrow, so... that's a whole 'nother problem. I don't want to write the script yet as it's too tricky with this virus and I'm still working on the plotlines, characters, relationships, etc. I want this one to surpass the first in a major way as did 'Spider-Man 2', 'X2', and a bunch of others may be coming soon. I can only hope for the best when we move and I hope that we can get this virus off of the computer soon, if not, then as soon as we get it back, I will write the script immediately because as I will probably have nothing better to do all summer(well, yeah I got stuff to do but when I don't have stuff to do, I'll be working on that script).

Ohh Mac Gargen sounds great i hope to start my Venom 2 script soon.

Will Mac be a sceming mastermind or working for a power?

Ohh Mac Gargen sounds great i hope to start my Venom 2 script soon.

Will Mac be a sceming mastermind or working for a power?
He's a scheming mastermind I would say. Sorta like Octavious from 'Spider-Man 2', but without the heart and stuff. In this fic, Mac Gargan would become the new Venom or what-not, in this fic, there is a seperation story between Eddie and the symbiote, the symbiote abandons Eddie after they find he has lost most of the rage which used to drive him as Venom. That storyline evolves later-on, it won't take a 'Spider-Man 2' turn with the montage and what-not, but it will show Eddie's life without the symbiote acting like another voice inside his head telling him what's right and wrong. There is a sequence also which is one sequence that I've planned on using for a sequel, it's a scene with Eddie inside a bus on the highway when all of a sudden comes along Gargan and he begins to attack the vehicle. It's probably the biggest action sequence in the movie, apart from the end battle. I had an alternate ending planned for this fic but, it didn't work out really well in my eyes. It had a mystery man call Eddie up and just simply tell him: "I will find you", which would've lead a little nicer into the sequel but, what's done is done I guess. The thread for the fic will be up soon with a Theatrical Trailer, I still have this problem with the typing on my computer but, I'll do my best to not make that a burden, I'm sure the problem will be fixed soon though.

A true Villian then. you should have wrote Spidey 2.

Will Eddie have seperation anxeity and cravings for the suit. like will he be like " i need it ,its mine i found it" jumps back to being normal " no, no this is wrong must fight.

Will Eddie have seperation anxeity and cravings for the suit. like will he be like " i need it ,its mine i found it" jumps back to being normal " no, no this is wrong must fight.
Yes, Eddie will feel the need at one point in the fic to get the symbiote back out of fear, when he finds the symbiote, the symbiote declines Eddie at first because fear is not the feeling they want to see from Eddie, they want to see rage and anger, not fear. The symbiote sees Eddie as being weak without rage and anger inside, which is what the symbiote is driven by.

Will Eddie have a new love interest in every story or will Alicia come back

Will Eddie have a new love interest in every story or will Alicia come back
Not quite, if you keep up with th comics, you can understand that she's Eddie Brock's wife in his early life. In this, I didn't want to consider her a girlfriend or whatever already, but more of a friend to Eddie.

I will be re-writing this fan-fic. I loved the first instalment, but, in re-reading it now, I've come across several errors that I would like to repair (as I was quite young in writing at the time, and my computer definitely wasn't the best for typing on) and make it into a more full-fledged, easier-to-read script for fans of the Venom and Shocker characters to enjoy. I loved the concept for the original, but it does have A LOT of noticeable writing/grammar flaws that I would like to correct. So bare with me, this is the retooled version of my interpretation of the Venom origins (sans Spider-Man).

PART I:

EXT. AMBULANCE - NIGHT

An ambulance races through the busy streets, sirens wailing as it comes speeding down the road while trying to avoid other vehicles driving to the side of the road to make room for the ambulance; meanwhile avoiding other ones who didn't follow the law.

INT. AMBULANCE

Inside the ambulance, pregnant mother, FRITHA, screams aloud in agonizing pain while lying fixed on a stretcher as her husband, CHARLES, glued to her side, tears rolling down his face, grips her hand tightly while trying to calm her down.

CHARLES
(crying)
It's going to be alright, Fritha... You hear me? It's going to be alright!

Charles began to cry even more in sight of his suffering wife, who wiped away the tears from his face. He smiled down at her as best as he could, his face tethered with worry about her condition.

CUT TO:

The ambulance DRIVER and PASSENGER exit the vehicle in a frenzied hurry.

EXT. AMBULANCE

The DRIVER and PASSENGER push FRITHA inside the hospital, as CHARLES lingers outside for a minute. He takes a breath in relief, seeing his own breath in the air, he is inspired to light up a cigarette to try and calm his nerves. His hand shakes as he lights the cigarette, taking a puff and then exhaling it.

INT. HOSPITAL

All throughout the hospital area, lots of other, seemingly pregnant as well, women's screams were heard. The DOCTORS sprint FRITHA down the hallway, she screamed even more so at the sound of all the terror from women like herself. Once inside the delivery room, the doctors pick Fritha up off the stretcher and put her down onto the bed in the room.

CUT TO:

CHARLES is finally done smoking, but he can't seem to track down where his wife was wheeled to. He looks to the RECEPTIONIST for help.

CHARLES
They just wheeled my wife in for a pregnancy, where did they take her?

CUT TO:

DOCTOR
You have to push, Fritha!

FRITHA screamed terrifyingly and her heart-rate began to rise as it then fell to zero and she suddenly stops screaming and breathing. The doctors look at each other in complete shock, as one of them is pulling the child out of her womb. It's a BOY, bloodied and crying.

CUT TO:

CHARLES tries to find the room his wife and son are in, but there's no luck. All he can hear is the sound of about a dozen other women crying and screaming. But faintly, he can make out the sound of a baby crying. He walks down to the very last door and opens it to discover his wife is lying breathless. The sound of her lifelessness rings throughout the room thanks to the heart-rate monitor. The DOCTORS turn it off, noticing Charles reaction to his wife's demise. As he walks towards her, he doesn't even bother looking at his newborn. His eyes are glued to his now dead wife, as he finally collapses next to her on the bed, crying even more than he did in the ambulance.

Zoom into the BABY'S eyes to reveal the title-card: VENOM

13 YEARS LATER

INT. BROCK HOUSE - DAY

A young EDDIE BROCK opens his eyes while lying in bed and discovers his alarm clock is ringing, Eddie reached over to turn it off and fell back into his bed. He hears his father's door open and the sound of him marching towards his room. CHARLES opens the door.

CHARLES
Get up, get dressed.

Charles shuts the door and walks down to the living room, Eddie hears him the whole way down and almost seems afraid to get out of bed.

CUT TO:

EDDIE picks up his lunch from counter and puts it in his backpack, he quickly peers over at CHARLES sitting in his chair in the living room. Eddie opens the cupboard up and pulls out a pudding cup that he quickly slips into his backpack, seemingly without his father's detection. Eddie walks towards the door while his father reads the newspaper, but he looks up to Eddie when he hits the doorstep.

EDDIE
See ya, dad. Have a great day.

CHARLES
Shut up, kid. Put that crap back in the cupboard, right now.

Charles pulled down his reading glasses and stared blankly at Eddie. Eddie turns around to look at his hostile father.

CHARLES
Those are for special occasions. You haven't earned it.

EDDIE
(beat)
It's just a pudding, dad.

CHARLES
I don't care what the hell it is, kid. Now you put that back, right now!

Charles suddenly gets up from the chair and charges towards Eddie, who is just about to open the door to try and evade his dad, but Charles pulls Eddie back inside and whips him to the floor, opens his backpack up for himself and chucks the pudding cup out of it and back into the kitchen; where it slams onto the floor, causing a mess. He goes in to punch Eddie, but Eddie puts his arms over his head to try and defend it. Charles has to close his eyes and take a breath to regain control of his anger, but he opens them up again and still looks fiery at Eddie.

CHARLES
(laughs)
You think that would help you much in a fight, kid? Huh?!

Charles lifts the kid back up to his feet and aggressively pushes him towards the door. Eddie sheds a tear over this.

CHARLES
Get the hell out of my sight before you disappoint me even more than you
already have.

Charles turns away from his own son and simply goes back to reading the paper like nothing ever happened. Eddie quickly wipes away the tear, turning towards the door, he exits the house.

EXT. BROCK HOUSE

Just outside the house now, EDDIE looks back to it in complete rage of his father's actions. He looks around the area, seeing that there are several other KIDS walking to school too. Eddie walks over to the sidewalk and picks up a decent sized rock, looking back to his house, he decides to chuck it towards the window, and it goes sailing into the living room. Eddie hides behind a couple trees in-front of the house, crouching down so that his father can't see him, he waits for a moment to hear some kind of reaction, but nothing.

Suddenly, the door swings open and CHARLES comes racing out of the house like a mad man. He has a huge, bloodied dent on his head from the thrown rock. He looks around the area where he thinks it was thrown, as he walks towards the trees which Eddie was hiding behind.

Eddie covers his mouth, as his breathing is rapidly increased. Charles comes around the trees to discover Eddie, Eddie looks up in fright and his father picks him up by his ears and swings him into the tree with a thud. Eddie screams in pain of his father's vicious assault.

CHARLES
(screaming)
Not such a good feeling when you're the one being punished, is it?!

EDDIE
(crying)
Dad, I'm sorry. I'm sorry
(beat)
but I know why you hate me.

A look of uncertainty comes across Charles' face.

EDDIE
(continues)
You hate me because you think that I'm the reason mother died. I know it.
I've known it for quite some time now. I know it because every time I look at
her picture, you always move it to a new place. I know it because every time
I come home you never say hello to me, you just turn away! I know it
because you never say you love me! Never!

Charles lets go of Eddie's ears and grabs him by the shoulders.

CHARLES
(beat)
Now that we've reached an understanding, it's about time you go to school.

Charles lets go of Eddie and walks back towards the house, leaving Eddie crying even more by the trees alone. Some of the kids and even a few PARENTS were watching, motivating Eddie to leave the area as quickly as possible. One of the parents comes racing towards Eddie, they grab him by the shoulder and Eddie turns around, about to attack, thinking it was his father again. The kind, middle-aged woman crouches down to Eddie's eye-level.

WOMAN
Are you okay?

Eddie wipes his face off.

EDDIE
Do I look okay to you, ma'am?

CUT TO:

INT. CLASSROOM

Shortly after that dilemma, EDDIE sits down in the back row of his class room and pulls his hair in-front of his eyes and put his hands under his chin to make it look as if he were paying attention. He then noticed one of his classmates, ALICIA, sit down. He pulled back his hair and she looked back at him and smiled, he winked back at her and the TEACHER walked in and he put his hair back over his eyes. Alicia laughed a bit and Eddie smiled back at her.

TEACHER
Pay attention please students
(beat)
that means you as well, Mr. Brock.

The teacher looked at Eddie and he pulled his hair back once again, but this time holding it fixed at the top of his head with his hand.

TEACHER
That's better.

EDDIE
But when I let it go,
(Eddie removes his hand)
it falls back down to my eyes.

TEACHER
Then it's time for a haircut.

EDDIE
Mister, I got too many problems in my life to be worrying about a haircut.
But maybe I'll take it into consideration.

TEACHER
Great, because we'd all appreciate it.

EDDIE
And why the ---- is that?

All of the STUDENTS look back at Eddie.

TEACHER
Get out of here, Eddie. Now.

EDDIE
Why? Because I speak my mind? You're allowed to speak your piece on a
five-day basis, so why the hell can't I?!

TEACHER
Because you decided that using profanity was the best avenue.

EDDIE
That's right. That's because it gets it through your thick skull that I ain't
learning s--- from you. The only reason that I'm here is because you force us
all to be here, and, if we aren't, then we get shunned by not having the
"proper education". I've already learned more this morning than I will all year
long from you so-called teachers, so why don't you spare me the drama. I've
had enough of it for one day.

TEACHER
Take a visit to the principal, Eddie, or I'll have you escorted there.

Eddie gets up finally and makes his way to exit the classroom.

EDDIE
I have two feet, and a sense of direction, so I'll get there myself. Thank you
very much.

Eddie leaves the classroom.

PART II:

INT. PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE - DAY

MR. CHESTNUT, the public school principal, sitting in his chair behind his oak desk, looks at EDDIE curiously. Eddie doesn't even look at the principal, just his gold name plate sitting on the desk.

EDDIE
How much did that thing cost you?

Mr. Chestnut follows Eddie's eye sight and looks down at his name plate too.

MR. CHESTNUT
The school gave it to me.

EDDIE
But why? It looks like that thing cost them $1000, couldn't that money have
been put towards something more, I don't know, useful?

Mr. Chestnut smirks a bit.

MR. CHESTNUT
Are you implying that my name's useless or something?

EDDIE
No, because shouldn't people already know your name by now? I mean, if I
were you, I'd probably pawn that thing off, and make sure that people knew
me by name.

MR. CHESTNUT
(laughing)
Well, I guess things would be much different around here if you were the
principal instead.

Eddie nods.

MR. CHESTNUT
But you're not. So it's my job to discipline troublesome kids like yourself,
Eddie. What has been the matter with you lately? Always getting sent down
for swearing, arguing with the teachers, or defending yourself when you aren't
even picked on, I just don't get it.

EDDIE
I don't know either, sir, but, the truth is, I've just been so
(beat)
angry... as of late. I don't know why, but I am, and I'm trying not to take it
out on these people, but, they give me the wrong look, or they say the wrong
thing to me, and I'm off. I don't know why I'm so bitter, I've just been like this
for a while, sir.

MR. CHESTNUT
Is there nothing myself or the teachers can do? We want to see you succeed,
Eddie, you're a good kid, you just need to let go of whatever's holding you
back. Is everything okay at home?

EDDIE
(immediately)
Yes.

MR. CHESTNUT
(beat)
Eddie, from my understanding, one of our student's parents came into the
vice principal's office and told them that you were being yelled at by your
father this morning. Is he abusive to you at all, Eddie, you can tell me. You're
secret's safe with me.

Eddie turns away, shaking his head.

EDDIE
You know, that is none of your business. If people minded their own business
nowadays-

MR. CHESTNUT
Eddie, I'm trying to help you!

EDDIE
-this world would be a much better place, but it's not. Know why? Because
people can't worry about themselves any more like they are supposed to.

MR. CHESTNUT
And is that what you're father tells you?

EDDIE
No, that's what I've gathered for myself. I've learned more from him pushing
me around than I ever will in this hell of a place. At least my father's as harsh
as this world is, you teachers and principals like to try and sugar-coat it to
make it seem as if it weren't as brutal as it is, but you only leave us with false
expectations. You can't change the world with your lecturing, sir, and you
sure aren't going to change me with it.

Mr. Chestnut is left speechless for a moment.

MR. CHESTNUT
I'm gonna call in your father, Eddie. We'll continue this discussion with him.

EDDIE
Go for it. I'll just go home then and meet him there.

Eddie gets up from his seat.

MR. CHESTNUT
You will not, Eddie. You sit back down, right now!

Eddie grabs Mr. Chestnut's name plate and throws it right out the window. He looks at Mr. Chestnut and holds his arms up in the air. The TEACHERS from inside the office area rush to open the door to Mr. Chestnut's office and examine the broken window.

EDDIE
You can suspend me instead, how bout that? I think I need some time off, anyway.

Mr. Chestnut looks angry at Eddie, as he picks up his phone and starts to dial in the numbers of his father's phone.

CUT TO:

INT. CHARLES' TRUCK

With CHARLES driving, EDDIE sits in the passenger seat. Covering his face with his hands so his father couldn't see. Charles tries looking over at Eddie, but Eddie won't look up at him.

Charles turns his attention back to the road, he rolls down his window a crack and lights up a cigarette. Takes a puff of it, and exhales out the window.

Eddie looks up at his dad smoking.

EDDIE
How long have you been smoking for?

Charles doesn't speak for a moment, instead taking another puff from his cigarette. He once again exhales out the window.

CHARLES
Since your mother got sick.

Eddie's eyes open wide.

CHARLES
(continues)
I remember when the doctor told us that it would be a danger for her to have
you. I tried so hard to tell her to give you up, but
(beat)
she refused.

Eddie turns away from Charles and starts to cry a bit.

EDDIE
(crying)
Why are you telling me this s---? You want to try and guilt me some more or
something?!

Charles tosses his smoke out of the window, he grabs Eddie by the shoulder for a moment.

CHARLES
When you were a baby, I was much worse. You start hanging around the
wrong crowds when you lose what's most important to you. You start to lose
yourself.
(beat)
I'm sorry it's taken me this long to say it, son, but I'm sorry for how much I've
hurt you over the years. Your mother always believed in heaven, I never did,
which is why I saw no end to my rage, we would have been happy together.
Just like them.

Charles points out a FAMILY walking outside on the sidewalk.

CHARLES
They seem happy. But, in time, they'll see the truth as we have. This world is
too cold for them to never experience the bitterness that we feel. You and I,
we're one in the same kind. That's why I couldn't bring myself to stop blaming
you, because I was so adamant in believing that it was all my fault
(beat)
and that she would've been happier off without us corrupting her like we did.

Eddie cries even more over hearing this.

EDDIE
We didn't corrupt her. She loved you, dad, she believed in heaven because
she imagined that she'd be reunited with you some day. Maybe even me.

A tear rolls out from Charles' eye and down his cheek, he turns to Eddie and smiles, nodding a bit, as well.

CHARLES
I love you, Eddie.

EDDIE
I love you too, dad.

CHARLES
(beat)
I'm definitely not paying for that broken window though.

Eddie and Charles laugh together.

CHARLES
(laughing)
That's coming out of your allowance.

EDDIE
What allowance?

Charles laughs even harder, Eddie smiles big in sight of his father's happiness.

Oh nice your starting again

Definitely. I loved writing this story, so with having a bit more screenwriting experience now, I feel more confident in the dialogue and pacing of it, I think that this newly edited version will help a lot more people see what my original vision was. When I was writing it before, it was all in my head, and now, I have the blueprints written out on here to look back upon and make them more fleshed out. Plus, I found it was rather hard reading before. These last two parts are easier and more enjoyable to read than they were before.

PART III:

INT. EDDIE'S BEDROOM - DAY

EDDIE is sleeping peacefully in his bed, CHARLES seeks inside the room, undetected, holding a report card in his hand.

CHARLES
(says aloud)
I see you're still failing, Eddie.

Eddie opens his eyes and sees his father standing in-front of him with his report card. He wipes his eyes, yawning.

EDDIE
I'll catch up.

CHARLES
You said that last time.

Charles sat down on the bed next to Eddie.

CHARLES
We're going to have to work on this, Eddie.

EDDIE
What's the point of it all though?

Eddie turns away from his dad. He gets up from the bed, looking out the window.

EDDIE
Where is my life headed anyway? What does it matter which direction it goes?

Charles gets up from the bed too.

CHARLES
It's headed in the direction you choose to take it, son.

Eddie slightly peers behind at his father.

CHARLES
Eddie, I know I haven't been a good father to you. But don't let me ruin your
life, I've already done that enough.

EDDIE
You haven't, dad. I just needed to finally hear why you hated me so much. I
could still see my father in there, even with all that anger.

CHARLES
(nods)
Ever since your mother died I've been angry with what I thought was your
fault, but it wasn't. Your mother's death wasn't your fault and I finally came
to terms with that. I'm sorry for not being the best I can be it's just, when I
was there, with your mother, watching her die in front of my eyes was the
most devastating thing I've ever felt. It was as if I lost myself as she rose to
the heavens
(beat)
but then I remembered she was without me.

EDDIE
And me.

Charles looks down to the floor as he tries to hide himself from crying. Eddie walks over to his father and stands in-front of him.

EDDIE
I love you, dad.

Charles looks at Eddie.

CHARLES
I love you too, son.

Charles and Eddie hug each other.

CHARLES
I'm sorry about everything, everything I've ever done to hurt you, I can never
forgive myself for that.

EDDIE
I can forgive you, dad. And I do.

Charles nods again, Eddie hugs his dad tighter.

EDDIE
You're the only family I got.

CHARLES
You're a reflection of me, son. But you can do better than I have.

Charles and Eddie stop hugging, as Charles grabs him by the shoulders, looking his son in the eye.

CHARLES
You need that education, I know you hate it as I did, but it's there for you
and you alone. You take what you gather from it, and you mold it into
something that can benefit you in some way. All that stuff they teach you
has relevance, son, and once you're done with all that learning, you're gonna
miss it like I have. You can never know too much as long as you know what
you love.

Eddie takes a moment to let his dad's words sink in, he looks at him in the eye and nods. Charles smiles.

TWO WEEKS LATER:

INT. CLASSROOM

EDDIE copies down study-notes from inside his classroom. The bell rings and, as the other STUDENTS rush out of the class, Eddie stays behind to get help from his TEACHER in-order to catch up on his missed projects. He looks up at the teacher.

EDDIE
Sorry about that other day, man, where I cursed at you. I was out of line and
it won't happen again.

TEACHER
No worries. Have a great weekend, Eddie.

EDDIE
You too.

Eddie receives his report card from the teacher, opens it, and sees that all of his marks are above 60 now, he smiles.

PART IV:

EXT. BROCK HOUSE - DAY

Getting home from school, EDDIE rides his bike right up to the garage doors to his house. Eddie opens the garage door to enter the house.

CUT TO:

INT. GARAGE

EDDIE closes the garage door, locking it up behind him. He walks toward the door inside the garage leading to his house, he opens it up.

CUT TO:

INT. BROCK HOUSE

Everything's quiet throughout the living room as EDDIE walks inside. Too quiet, he notices. Eddie looks around his house, suspiciously checking around each corner. He has a feeling something's wrong.

Looking down at the floor, there are a few dropped plates and silverware around the sink. And then he sees blood. His attention turns to a creek from upstairs, sounding like it's in his father's bedroom. He can hear his father's breathing, he can tell he's afraid to someone or something.

Carefully, Eddie begins to make his way up the staircase to his father's bedroom. Reaching the top, he notices that his father's room is wide-open. He looks in to see a ROBBER wearing a ski-mask inside pointing a gun at CHARLES, who has already been shot in the chest.

Eddie looks at the blood on the bed, belonging to his father's wound. He looks at the robber in total anger and charges towards him. Without him even noticing, Eddie takes down the robber with a spear to his side and starts throwing punches at his head. He lands, rather quickly, about three dozen, each one seemingly getting stronger, before being tossed to the side by the criminal.

The robber picks Eddie up off the ground and throws him at the wall, where he hits his arm and ribcage with a clubbing thud, landing on the ground with his back hitting against it.

Charles ignores the severity of his gunshot wound and charges towards the robber. He tackles him all the way out of the bedroom and right into the staircase area, crashing right through the railing like it were nothing. They fell down to the bottom of the stairs, both of them Eddie could hear had broken bones as he watched and raced down to help his father get up.

EDDIE
Dad! Get up, man.

Charles carefully rises to his feet with Eddie's help, he grips the gunshot wound in agony. Eddie grips it too, but Charles throws away his hand.

CHARLES
(barks)
Get me a knife, boy!

Eddie races to the kitchen in a hurry. Charles kicks the robber's head when Eddie turns the corner. Then again. And again.

Finding a knife finally in the kitchen, Eddie runs back out to his dad and notices that he's already killed the robber by stomping his head in. Eddie couldn't visually see it, but there was blood rushing down from the steps. The look in Charles' face was sinister as he looked at Eddie, who dropped the knife and rushed up the stairs to his dad.

EDDIE
What do we do?

CHARLES
Call the police.

EDDIE
They'll turn you in! They'll charge you with killing a man.

CHARLES
He was a mugger.

EDDIE
And you stomped his head in.

CHARLES
And he shot me, now how the hell am I supposed to hide that?

Eddie turns away from Charles and kicks the railing in frustration.

CHARLES
Eddie, I would if I could. But I feel like I'm losing it now. The police will believe
in you, just trust them and they'll trust you. Just tell them the truth about
what happened. If they feel like charging me, let them charge me.

EDDIE
How can you just say that? After all this s---!? Let them charge you?!

CHARLES
(beat)
Someone has to go to jail.

Sirens start to get closer to the house. Charles sees the flashes of blue and red lights reflecting off of people's houses through the window.

CHARLES
Looks like one of our nosy neighbours beat you to the punch.

Charles puts his hand on Eddie's shoulder, Eddie turns around to look at his father.

EDDIE
What if I took the blame for it?

CHARLES
No. Not for me.

Charles walks past Eddie and towards the front door, he unlocks it and opens it a bit for the police to freely come inside. He walks into the kitchen, opens the fridge and grabs a carton of milk. He pulls himself a glass from the cupboard as Eddie walks in, he looks over to him and sees if he too wants a glass of milk. Eddie shakes his head. Charles pours himself one though.

A few POLICE OFFICERS make their way inside.

POLICE OFFICER
Mr. Brock?

Charles turns the corner with a glass of milk in his hand.

CHARLES
Might as well slap the cuffs on me, gentlemen. I killed a man who broke into
our house over there.

He points to the staircase where the robber was bleeding and dead. He turns back to face the police.

CHARLES
He tried to kill me and my son, and he shot me.

POLICE OFFICER
Okay. You can finish that milk up before we cuff you.

Charles nods to the police officer.

PART V:

10 YEARS LATER:

INT. CONVENIENCE STORE - DAY

EDDIE BROCK, now 23 years old, walks in through the front door of the convenience store, pulls off his backpack, sets it on the floor behind the front counter and picks up the work-apron hanging behind it and slipped it on. He sat on the stool behind the counter, but then he realized that he forgot to switch the sign in the window from "CLOSED" to "OPEN", he does this in an instant. Eddie sits back down and the STORE MANAGER comes in through the front door.

STORE MANAGER
Morning, Ed.

EDDIE
Morning, Greg.

The store manager, GREG, chucks his cigarette into the garbage bin behind the counter next to Eddie, all while it's still lit. Eddie notices this, and turns his attention to the fire extinguisher on the wall.

GREG
Night was hell.

EDDIE
Tell me about it.

Greg left to the back of the room and Eddie went over, grabbing the fire extinguisher off the wall, to the garbage can and extinguished the cigarette inside it suddenly. Greg came out of the back room, Eddie hid the extinguisher behind the garbage can.

GREG
What was that?

EDDIE
From outside, must've been a bus or something.

Greg nodded and went back into the back room. Eddie breathes a sigh of relief, as he puts the extinguisher back in it's place on the wall and takes a seat on the stool.

INT. PUB - NIGHT

EDDIE is sitting at a table with his friend, CARL, who is hitting on a SERVER.

CARL
So what's your name, sweetheart? I'm Carl, that name should bring comfort to
your ears.

SERVER
It's not working.

Carl face palms, shaking his head. Eddie smirks, turning to the server.

EDDIE
Get me a beer, Sally, and get my bubbling friend here one as well.

SALLY
Sounds good, Eddie.

Sally walks away to pursue other CUSTOMERS surrounding the area. Carl looks stunned at Eddie.

CARL
You're on a first-name basis with her? Why didn't you let me know of this?

EDDIE
Because I found it too funny watching you try and hit on her. Rather
unsuccessfully, I might add, Mr. Casanova.

CARL
Ha. Ha.

EDDIE
So where the hell is Alicia? I haven't seen her in months.

CARL
She unfortunately couldn't make it tonight.

EDDIE
Why?

CARL
Well, when I last saw her, she said her mother was in a coma. She says she
doesn't know how long she's got.

Eddie looks down at the table, saddened to hear this. The server, SALLY, brings over two mugs of beer for Eddie and Carl at that moment. Eddie's attention is still down to the floor.

CARL
Thanks, Sally.

Sally leaves without response. Carl finally turns to notice Eddie's still looking down.

CARL
Did you know her?

Eddie nods his head.

CARL
S---. I'm sorry, man.
(beat)
Happy birthday, though.

Eddie musters up a chuckle. He now looks up from the floor, picks up his beer, so does Carl, and they click their mugs together, taking a drink from their respective mugs after that.

CUT TO:

EXT. PUB

EDDIE and CARL are standing outside, both of them are pretty tipsy from the drinking.

CARL
So how long's it been since you've seen the old man, Eddie?

EDDIE
About ten years now. I haven't gotten a letter back from him, and I've sent
hundreds. Apparently, he doesn't exist.

CARL
What?!

EDDIE
I said the same thing too. So I did research, once I finally went out on my
own, and the only thing that I have gathered is that he was released on good
behaviour five years ago. My father spent five years in prison for murdering a
man.

CARL
But the man broke into your house, didn't he?

EDDIE
Of course, but my father took it too far. He had him knocked out, he could
have just called the police, but instead, he had to kill him just
(beat)
for the sport of it, I guess. I never understood why he did it.

CARL
What if he knew the guy? Would that be possible? Maybe he wanted to
protect you.

EDDIE
Whether he did or not, he got the job done. And now he's out there.
Somewhere. Yet, for some strange reason, I feel like I'll never be seeing him
again.

CARL
Why?

EDDIE
When I was in the courtroom, on the day of his trial, the opposing lawyer
brought up a point that I never knew about my father because he never told
me this himself. Probably out of embarrassment. Anyhow, the lawyer said that
my father had previously been charged with spousal and child abuse. I never
knew that about my dad. Of all the terrible things I remembered, I never
remembered him beating me. So I imagine it must have been when I was four
or five, maybe. I just couldn't remember, or maybe my mind just couldn't
handle it. All I know is that I never want to see him again, he could tell that
by the look I gave him that day when he was put away. It was the first time
I've ever seen him cry. I thought I forgave him, but, learning that, I don't
think I ever will forgive him for what he's done. He's the reason my mother
died
(beat)
not me.

HERMAN
Sorry to eavesdrop, but that's quite the story, kid.

Eddie and Carl frightfully turn around to see a man, HERMAN SCHULTZ, standing hidden in the dark shadows. He comes into the light that Eddie and Carl were standing under.

CARL
Mind your own business then, or put plugs in your ears, there are many ways
to stop yourself from eavesdropping into other people's conversations.

EDDIE
It isn't a story neither, bud. That's my life you're talking about.

HERMAN
Calm down, Captain Morgan, my daddy was good for nothing too. The only
thing he ever taught me is what I do best.

CARL
Yeah? And what the hell's that, creep? Cleaning toilets at the school for a
living? Your uniform says it all, you scoundrel. You work at Woodborough, and
you're obviously not a professor wearing that jumpsuit. Now why don't you
go, scurry away from us before you get your feelings hurt. Two on one
doesn't normally end well for the lone ranger type.

HERMAN
Don't worry. I have no feelings left to hurt.
(looks right at Eddie)
You can thank my father for that.

Herman walks away from the two, Eddie and Carl watch him as he walks down the street.

CARL
I don't trust that guy, Ed. Next time you see him, you should run.

EDDIE
He goes to Woodborough, Carl. If I'm accepted there, I'll be seeing him around
mopping the floors and some other garbage like that.

CARL
I think I feel kinda bad for the guy now.

EDDIE
Shut up, Carl, you were the one who made fun of him the most. Not me.

Carl suddenly bursts out laughing, Eddie shakes his head.

CUT TO:

INT. BANK, SAFE ROOM

A large safe is shown. Revealed in front of it is a man in a yellow and red self-invented suit which covered him head-to-toe. Through the eyes in the mask, it's clear to see that the costumed figure is HERMAN in disguise. He wore two gauntlets on his arm, he charged them up by clenching his fists together. Once fully charged, Herman points the gauntlets at the safe and blasts the vault door wide open.

He rushes inside the vault and starts stashing all the money inside in a bag he carried with him. Overhead, he notices an alarm has been tripped. A red light keeps flashing. Already he can start to hear police sirens surround the building.

HERMAN
Why are these guys so fast nowadays?

Herman hurries as best as he can. Finally closing the bag, he runs out of the safe room as fast as he can.

INT. BANK

In the main area now, HERMAN notices several police cars and OFFICERS scattered outside. Collected, he walks towards the door and calmly blasts the vehicles and officers out of the way with a couple blasts from one of his powerful gauntlets.

EXT. BANK

Outside, the police force is devastated. OFFICERS are all lying unconscious against the ground, while their vehicles begun to spark in flames. HERMAN peacefully walks out of the bank with his cash, walking calmly down the street until he disappears into the shadows.

Really enjoying this it flows really well

Good to hear, because the reason I'm re-writing it is because my previous "script" (which read more like a laundry list of events) was so hard for even me to understand. I enjoyed it, but there's definitely a lot more I wanted to add.

PART VI:

INT. EDDIE'S APARTMENT, HALLWAY - DAY

EDDIE gets out of his apartment and locks the door with his key when he closes it, he rushes out of the building by racing down the stairs. Once in the lobby, he opens up his mailbox to discover a letter inside. He takes it out and notices that it's from Woodborough. He opens it.

CUT TO:

EXT. WOODBOROUGH COLLEGE

The sign for the college had a giant, black tree illustrated over top of it. EDDIE stands outside his school with his application in hand, he quickly notices the sign before passing it. On his way to the front doors, he passes a large tree. From the tree, Eddie hears a sound that is similar to a snake's hiss. He turns around to see nothing besides the tree itself. He turns away and runs to the front doors.

Suddenly, along the tree, veins start to pop out. Black veins, which seemed to contain something hidden inside.

INT. WOODBOROUGH COLLEGE, GYM

EDDIE lines up with his CLASSMATES along the wall, waiting for their gym teacher to arrive. He does, as Eddie hears the door open but several students are in his way so he can't see the teacher right away. Surprisingly to Eddie, HERMAN comes around the corner, dressed in the style same jumpsuit that he wore when he met Eddie and Carl last night, he was the gym teacher. He notices Eddie right away, he nods to him. Eddie doesn't know how to respond.

HERMAN
(to Eddie)
Water under the bridge, kid. Water under the bridge.

EDDIE
I sure hope so.

Herman walks past Eddie, staring straight at him while doing so. Eddie looks away, trying not to anger himself.

CUT TO:

INT. WOODBOROUGH COLLEGE, OFFICE

EDDIE makes it down to the office after an obviously exhausting gym class, his whole shirt is soaked in sweat. He takes a couple breaths before talking to the SECRETARY behind the desk.

SECRETARY
Looks like you had a good class.

EDDIE
Not quite. I'd like to switch courses, if I could.

SECRETARY
Why so all of a sudden? You seem to be the athletic type.

EDDIE
I don't find my classmates to be very appealing, so I'd like to relocate.

SECRETARY
It's hard to do. There are a ton of full classes as it is. What interests you?

EDDIE
I don't know. Can you run me down a laundry list of courses available or
something like that?

SECRETARY
Sure.

The secretary stands up from her seat behind the desk and walks into the printer room next door. Eddie waits patiently, all the while HERMAN walks past, looking at Eddie through the window, outside in the hallway. The secretary comes back in and gives Eddie a list of available courses. Almost immediately, his attention goes to the course on the list named JOURNALISM. He pulls a pen off the desk and checks off that course, writing and signing his name on it as well before handing it back to the secretary. She looks at his choice.

SECRETARY
Do you have previous experience in journalism, Eddie?

EDDIE
No, but a friend of mine is in that class. I'm surprised it's still available, to be
completely honest with you. I should have been there with her in the first
place.

SECRETARY
And this girl isn't going to be a distraction for you, is she?

EDDIE
She's been my best friend ever since public school. Sure, she may distract
me. But I won't slack off because of her. If anything, she'll make me wanna do
better as she herself is a fantastic writer too. So I'd like to be on her level in
the class, at least.

SECRETARY
Well that sure does sound motivating. I'll submit this and you should receive a
schedule change by mail in the next day or two. Until then, you'll have to
stick with your gym class.

EDDIE
Fine with me.

Eddie smiles and nods at the secretary, she does the same thing back to him.

PART VII:

INT. PUB - NIGHT

The television was set on a news station. EDDIE and CARL watched it from their table, mugs of beer sitting in front of them. The news station covered the bank robbery that unfolded last night, Eddie watched carefully. Carl notices.

CARL
You seem invested in this story. Were you the one who did the robbing?

EDDIE
That bank is just up the street from here.

CARL
Yeah. So did you do it?

EDDIE
You'd have to do some major convincing to try and get me to rob a bank like
that. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Eddie and Carl cheers each other, clicking their mugs together, and take a drink. They set them down after, both mugs are now empty.

EDDIE
I switched classes today.

CARL
Why?

EDDIE
Remember that guy who we thought was just a custodian?

CARL
(stunned)
He's your gym teacher?!

EDDIE
(nods)
He sure is.

Eddie raises his hand to grab SALLY'S attention from across the pub. She makes her way towards them.

CARL
I can't believe that, man. Did you switch courses?

EDDIE
Of course I did. What do you think I am, an idiot?

CARL
(laughs)
I'm pretty sure you don't want me to answer that.

EDDIE
(smirks)
You b------.

Sally makes it over to the table. Carl looks up at her with a big grin on his face, she pretends to be barfing when he does so. This almost causes Carl to barf in return, Eddie notices this.

EDDIE
You guys should get married.

CARL
So we could have a bunch of mini mes running around that you could babysit?
Sounds good to me. Sally, let's get married.

SALLY
And why would I marry a slime ball like you?

CARL
Because I'm a man, and you're a woman. Seems like the perfect match to me.
Plus, you're so gorgeous that I just wanna take you home tonight and show
you a good time under the covers.

EDDIE
That's desperate.

CARL
What?! I told her she was gorgeous.

SALLY
And that you wanna take me under the covers?

CARL
Of course!

Sally nods subtly, slowly walking away from Eddie and Carl.

CARL
(calls)
Baby, come back!

Sally runs off.

EDDIE
Why is it that every lady I ever see you hitting on always runs away?

Carl looks over Eddie's shoulder at Sally, who seems to be grabbing her BOYFRIEND from behind the bar. A big, muscular guy as Carl could tell.

CARL
She's got a boyfriend, man. Run!

Carl shoots up from the table and starts running towards the exit, Eddie follows his friend as well as they quickly evacuate the pub.

PART VIII:

EXT. WOODBOROUGH COLLEGE - NIGHT

EDDIE and CARL are drunk, stumbling their way around Eddie's college. Very few street lights lit the area. It was very dark where they were now, as they approached the tree in-front of the school. Eddie stops Carl.

EDDIE
We shouldn't go near this tree, man.

CARL
Why not?

EDDIE
I don't know, it's just
(beat)
I get a bad vibe when I'm around it, something about it. Something strange. I
don't know. Could just be my imagination, I guess. I just haven't had this
feeling so strongly before.

CARL
You are a crazy man, Eddie.

A light starts to shine against their clothing, they noticed this right away and turned around to see that it was SALLY'S BOYFRIEND driving his truck towards them. They run towards the tree, getting closer. In a fast attempt to kill Eddie and Carl, the raging boyfriend rapidly speeds the truck faster towards the two men, but, instead of hitting them, rams right into the tree. This causes it to break in the centre, as Eddie and Carl evaded the danger by rolling out of the way.

Without anyone noticing, something crawls its way out of the crack formed in the tree and starts to seep down onto the grass without detection. As it moved in the grass, closer towards Eddie and Carl, it's revealed to be some kind of black goo-like substance with a life of it's own. It was a SYMBIOTE looking for a host.

Eddie looks back and notices the tree's broken. Carl is running to get out of there, but stops a few feet ahead of Eddie. The boyfriend gets out of the truck. Carl runs back to Eddie, grabbing him by the shoulder.

CARL
We need to get out of here, man, right now!

The boyfriend starts running towards the two men, Carl tugs on Eddie's shoulder more aggressively. Eddie is vacant, he stares down the boyfriend with an evil intent.

CARL
We have to go!

Eddie suddenly charged towards the raging man and knocked him to the ground, punching him repeatedly. Carl stood a dozen or so feet away, and was shocked to see Eddie become so violent within an instant.

CARL
Eddie, he's done. Let's get out of here!

Eddie grabs hold of the boyfriend's neck tightly. Bloodied and beaten, the boyfriend was barely breathing. Carl sighed with relief, but was stunned again in seeing Eddie start punching the now unconscious man to an even bloodier pulp. Carl finally runs over to Eddie, dropping to his knees in the dirt beside him to try and yank him off of the defenceless man.

CARL
He's had enough, Eddie!

EDDIE
(growls)
He tried to kill us!

Eddie pushes Carl away from him and throws one more devastating punch down to the bloody man. Somehow still alive, the boyfriend coughs up a bit of blood onto Eddie's shirt. Eddie grabs the man's head and forces his face into the grass.

EDDIE
(yelling)
You tried to kill us, just because my friend was hitting on your girlfriend?!

Getting up, Eddie then stomps on the man's head. Carl is left speechless, as he watches the horror unfold. Looking down to Eddie's feet, he notices something went crawling up Eddie's leg without his detection.

CARL
There's something on your leg.

EDDIE
What?

Eddie looks down to it and something feels wrong with his leg, he pulls up the one leg in his jeans and notices that his whole leg has now been covered by the symbiote. The symbiote begun to expand further across Eddie's body. Carl runs over to Eddie, trying to help get the substance off him. The symbiote steadily rejects the man's efforts to try and save Eddie.

CARL
My God, Eddie, what the hell is this?!

EDDIE
Help me, man!

CARL
I'm trying!

His hand becomes consumed by the symbiote, and then his other one does as well, showing the symbiote's progression, it makes its way up to Eddie's neck. Carl again tries to get the symbiote off of Eddie, this time trying around his neck area, but there's no stopping it, it continues to grow at a rapid pace. With Eddie screaming aloud, the symbiote slithers its way into Eddie's ears, and onto his eyeballs, prying his eyelids wide open as well. As the symbiote devoured the rest of Eddie's face, it begun to from its own.

Carl gets up and backs away from Eddie. The symbiote expands even further now, crawling over Eddie's clothing to form into something much bigger than Eddie himself. More muscular, and as black as the night sky. Sharpened fingernails made their way out from where Eddie's fingertips were buried beneath. Where Eddie's face used to be is now changed completely into something monstrous-looking. This is absolutely terrifying to Carl.

The monster grew razor sharp teeth and a devilishly large mouth with a disgusting, slimy red tongue that spun around frantically as the creature, known as VENOM, opened its mouth wide and screamed at Carl.

CARL
What are you?

VENOM
(demon/snake-like voice)
We are one. We are Venom!

Venom leaps towards Carl, as he tries to run away from the monster, and is taken down to the ground face-first. Venom forcefully presses Carl's head into the ground, seemingly trying to kill him. The monster leans in close to Carl's ear.

VENOM
You almost got your friend killed with your feeble actions, you pathetic human
trash.

Venom suddenly bites Carl's ear. Carl screams in complete agony.

CARL
(coughing)
Please, no!

Venom lets go of Carl's now bloodied ear and grabs him by the neck, looking at him with a crazed fury.

VENOM
(continues, screaming)
And now you're going to die because of it!

Venom wraps his two gigantic hands around Carl's head. Carl screams even more painfully than before, as a crushing sound is heard, and Venom lifts him up off the ground, right into the air as if he were just a rag doll. Venom chuckles as he holds Carl up in-front of him, dangling and shaking him around a bit to his own delight before he tosses him right towards the college like a sack of potatoes. He crashed right through the window landing inside the school's hallway. Somehow still alive, he coughs up blood on the floor.

Just about done outside, Venom runs up the wall and was about to leave by getting on the rooftop, but instead, he looks back down to the unconscious boyfriend with a devilish grin upon his face. He pounces off the wall and back towards his completely defenceless victim.

Sorry it took so long to reply it was very good. I like how you show the brutality and violence of the character

No problem, man. Thanks for keeping up with it. I definitely agree, I've been re-reading it constantly and I'm happy I chose to introduce the symbiote a little earlier this time around. I didn't really like the idea of having bullies come and beat up Eddie again, especially since Herman discovers Eddie's secret so quickly in the other version, so having an embittered boyfriend make a dramatic entrance seemed fitting enough. Plus, it sets up more dangers for Eddie to try and avoid now that he has the symbiote (obviously he'll have to avoid Sally, who'll probably try and point the finger at a guy like Eddie after hearing her boyfriend's been assaulted).

Any plans for a series?

I'm curious what made you pick Herman/ shocker he seems an odd choice and not really a villian i would normally associate with being the main antagonist

But obviously Eddie is too young and inexperienced with his craft to fight carnage

I have some thoughts on him if your interested

I have plans for Carnage. I wanna make this a trilogy of scripts. This first instalment will be simply Venom vs. Shocker as well as Eddie vs. the symbiote because, in this first instalment, it's his enemy because it harms his friend(s). The symbiote, in this first instalment, I wanted to show as a cruel being, a being hell-bent on causing people to feel fear and rage so that they can expand their reach even further across the world. I want Scorpion in the sequel, and then I want Carnage to end the trilogy because he's the main event and I think that Cletus Kasady deserves some character development before he becomes Carnage (so I'll introduce him later-on).
