any new N64 games out on VC????

Donkey Kong 64???????????????????

I finally gave the list a much needed updating. For our posters who live outside of North America, asides from Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis which I will update tomorrow, the list is updated to include releases found only in Europe and Japan.

Zelda: Majora's Mask on Japan VC
Friday 27-Mar-2009 3:01 PM Japanese Wii owners get a nice Wii Shop surprise
Japanese Wii owners are set to receive a nice surprise next month, as Nintendo updates the Wii Shop Channel with a selection of classic Virtual Console games including Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

As well as one of the greatest and most underrated Zeldas ever, in April Japanese gamers can spend their Wii Points on Kirby's Dream Land 3, Phantasy Star, Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania III.

Not that we're on a downer or anything, but we bet our list is nowhere near as good.

The full list for April (And the last update of March) in Japan is as follows:

Famicom:
Takeshi no Chousenjou (March 31st)
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse

Super Famicom:
Der Langrisser
Kirby's Dream Land 3

Nintendo 64:
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

Sega Master System:
Phantasy Star

PC Engine:
Ninja Gaiden (Almost identical to the NES version)

Virtual Console Arcade:
Genpei Toumaden (March 31st)
Space Invaders

I think you could just put North America and Europe games on the list.

You got something against Japanese people :cmad:

Seriously though, what if we do have say an American poster living in Japan. Or someone actually from Japan. SHH is a place for all people.

I'm definatey getting Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, can't wait

BUT I'M STILL WAITING FOR DK64 :(

The Japanese probably have an SHH equivalent for manga that they probably go to. They probably have a section for hentai, too. We need a section for porn to compete.

Zelda: Majora's Mask on Euro VC

Europe wakes up to a Wii Shop surprise
European Wii owners are waking up to a nice surprise this morning, as Nintendo updates the Wii Shop Channel with classic N64 Legend of Zelda instalment, Majora's Mask.

In case you've never played it, Majora's Mask is the spin-off sequel to Ocarina of Time and the first instalment when current series director Eiji Aonuma took the reins.

News first hit that the N64 game was headed for the service last month, when Nintendo released its Japanese list for the Wii Shop channel (we now feel silly for betting that ours would be nowhere near as good).

The game takes place in the mysterious alternate universe of Termina, where a hoodlum in an ancient, powerful mask is dragging the moon crashing into the ground, killing all. Link, armed with his usual toys, has three days to stop him.

It's an underrated gem. If you haven't already, we urge you to fire up your Wii and pick it up.

Majora's Mask would be cool. The last VC game I downloaded was Super Mario RPG. As for DK64 didn't Rare develop that game? It's probably why we haven't seen the game turn up yet. But I'll definitely pick it up. Never did get to finish it in the end.

I'm hanging out for the Battletoads games but I doubt we'll get them on there as Rare was also behind them.

Nintendo owns Donkey Kong 64 even though Rare developed it. Rare developed the Donkey Kong Country games on the Super Nintendo and all three of them are on the Virtual Console now. It's a shame that Iwata decided to be an ass and not allow Goldeneye HD or else we could have gotten a lot more Rare/Microsoft IPs on the Virtual Console.

Battletoads isn't going to happen until Microsoft and Nintendo work something out.

Ah of course how could I forget the DKC games already out on the VC. Silly me. ;)

It's a shame about Goldeneye alright. Somebody slap Iwata for me. :D

I don't think I've downloaded a N64 game yet. I have however, checked out a couple Wiiware games. Lost Winds is good fun. I must take a look and see what's new at the VC Store. Secret of Mana sounds tempting too. Loved that game.

has anybody placed Majora yet on the VC?? I have a 42" 1080p HDTV, the game is going to look like sh!!!t

Anyone know how the controls are for Majora's Mask/Ocarina?

Super Star Wars coming to VC
Monday 10-Aug-2009 4:08 PM
Nintendo strikes LucasArts deal
Multiple LucasArts old skool Star Wars games are coming to Virtual Console, starting with Super Star Wars, which should be live in the US about now.

Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi will be added later and all three (which were originally released for SNES) will set you back 800 Wii Points each.

"The arrival of the first three games will be accompanied by additional Star Wars-themed content on other Wii channels throughout the week," says the release.

"The Check Mii Out Channel will invite people to submit their best Mii character renditions of classic Star Wars characters. On the Everybody Votes Channel, users can cast their votes to help settle old debates, such as the proper order to watch the six Star Wars films, and who fired first - Han Solo or Greedo?"

Expect more classic LucasArts games for Virtual Console to be "announced in the future."

We're waiting for word on when these games might hit the UK. But if Super Star Wars is up there now, let your fellow readers know below. Our Wi-Fi's playing up

ExciteBike: World Rally for WiiWare today! WHOOOO! :D
