What made you happy today? - Part 1

Not having any dizziness/nausea spells from my concussion. First day in a week.

I figured out a program that will allow me to play blu-rays on my computer since the monitor I bought was apparently not HDCP compliant and all that noise. Thanks to the internet there's always a way around DRM BS.:yay:

Test driving some new cars today, potentially getting a new car in a few months.

DRM: Preventing only honest, legitimate owners from actually using their legally purchased content. Leave it to the pirates to circumvent it when you need to. :D

Hopefully today I can get my haircut, I'm starting to look...hippie-ish.

the 4 hour nap i took this afternoon

Deeper in the spiral, lost highway repeating. Slipping back into teen angst seems to be paying off in spades. Truly believe as an adult and as a teen I can truly bring something to this tragic tale of school, society, parents, and lost kids. Listening to the teen angst songs I grew up with while mowing the lawn and it's like I'm 16/17/18 again.

Found 2x £50 notes in a spare suit. No idea how they got there.

Just found another excellent story to translate to film, an inspired-by true story about a teenage guy/girl and a girl/guy who found each other at a support group prior to transitioning to their new gender (Arin Andrews and Katie Hill). The thing that really excites me about this story is it says a lot about the power of love and the transcendence that love can have (pun not intended). There have been films about love transcending death, distance, and time, etc. But, this would be a first. A great message of love having no bounds, an interesting story, and definitely an attention-grabbing script if done right - to top it all off, it's true.

I interacted with a pornstar for the first time when Nikki Benz called me an ignorant prick on Instagram and then blocked me.

Like regwec, I must know what you said to her.

Nikki Benz has one of those strict 'No interracial' things in her contract and so she'll never do a scene with a black guy (only in my imagination with me hey-oh). Last night I guess she was at a party taking pictures with friends and one of the pics she posted on her Instagram was with a group of people, one of them a black guy she was looking at for some reason while the picture was being taken.

Someone commented something along the lines of 'you're checking him out ;)' and I replied to that person saying "Nah, I think she's just surprised because that's the closest she's ever been to a black guy :p" Now either she didn't get the joke or she's tired of hearing it :funny:

Aww, I feel like such a jerk.

That.... was not as bad as I'd imagined it to be.

It seems that porn stars are not as perceptive or as judicious as I had always imagined they must be.

Just found an amazing film idea for Liam Neeson whom my mentors have worked with a couple of times now, it's an action film so it's along the same lines of the films they make, and it will help me get over some of my residual adoptee angst. A 26 year old adoptee tracks down his biological father, in hopes that he can save him by giving his life meaning and direction, only to find that his father's a spy and is soon thrust into his awesome world of intrigue. Completely wish fulfillment level thinking (Liam Neeson, in one of his bad ass roles is your dad!) and with a personal weight and gravity that I can bring to it. I just found my next project. Inspired, in part by, 'Last Action Hero' but with more of a 'Taken' gritty realism approach to the proceedings.

Nope. Despite people on here thinking I'm always lying actually connected with those who like me as a screenwriter and we made one of the most recent movies with him. Think he and the boss might be friends or something, we've made half of the most recent gritty action movies he's been a part of. Seeing this, the way I'm envisioning it, as possibly one of them - draws upon Liam's experience as a father, draws from older and teenage crowd, and includes a strong story with strong characters and action.
