The Informant - 9/10
 Such an underrated film. The humor and character development are both spot-on.

Midnight in Paris--9/10

Allen can make very endearing characters when he wants to, and he nails it with Gil. It's not that the "Woody Allen character" is never likable, but I was glad that
Gil had a happy ending. In movies like Annie Hall (my favorite of Allen's) and Manhattan (another really good one), I wasn't bummed out that the protagonist ended up losing the girl.
Owen Wilson was the perfect choice for the character; his performance here is comparable to The Darjeeling Limited (which I love). The film's fantasy elements are really well done, and it has a bunch of funny supporting characters. For those who haven't seen any Allen movies, or think they might not like his more caustic, neurotic characters, this would be a great one to start with.
