Story Talks Black Panther

I think that Story is confident that he did a good job on this sequel. He is the one who has all the inside info.

I think the box office is going to be on a par or better than the first one and Tim knows this. So he is feeling confident, as a man should when he knows he has done a better job than what he did before.

So he probably does not have the worries that some of us have. Cause he knows that even if he does not please all the fanboys the general public will eat this stuff up.

I'm just saying is all.

Can't we find an unknown like Singer did with Routh.

Yikes! :wow: The idea of a new face is ok, but the Routh example is a bad one. He looks like a flying exec. SR is one of the worst recent mistakes, IMO.

^^ I see your point, but like with what i said about Beil earlier, was it really his fault, Singer wanted a Reeve look alike and maybe put Routh in a situation he was not ready for.

So is Routh really to blame for how he was portrayed. Singer should have tried to differentiate the movie from Donners but instead tried to do a clone and that led to Routh's personality being like a dead fish. I don't think he is totally at fault for how he came across.

Djimon Hounsou would be great. He was the best part of Eragon (before that I had never heard of him).

Panther would be cool to include...we'll see what happens I guess.

CAH

BP should get his own movie. We need more Negro Heroes.

btw here's a manip I made for LS. It should give you an idea of what Djimon would look like.

That ain't the 'n' word. Don't try to make something where there's nothing.

And Neto, that pic is AWESOME! Berry looks so hot! And Djimon IS BP! They gotta make it happen!

Interesting....but I'd rather see BP make his debut in his own film and not as a guest star in FF3.

Djimon Hounsou is an excellent choice for the Panther role. I've enjoyed his work ever since I saw him in Amistad. I wonder if John Singleton would get the director's nod, since he'd expressed an interest in doing a BP film since it was first talked about?

I was actually hoping a trip to the negative zone and Annihilus was on the table for FF3.

Hmm...Hounsou would be the ideal choice for T'Challa. He's a tremendous actor with a lot of talent. And lets not forget, he's been Oscar nominated. Although, I would prefer seeing Black Panther in his own feature film, rather then making his debut in another possible FF sequel. I'm not completely sold on the idea. There could be a way to make it work of course, but honestly...It's more of a wait and see situation.

I also agree with those who say the character should stay at Marvel.
Djimon is perfect for the role. And we don't have to have a big name playing T'Challa necessarily--we need a good actor.
Agreed.

Possibly. Singleton is also directing the Luke Cage film, which is currently going through production hell.

Djimon Hounsou would be perfect casting as T'Challa if that's the direction they are going for in FF3 - GREAT MOVE!!!

I think they would do incredible justice bringing the Black Panther and his Wakandan people to life on the big screen. I would love to see a fight between the Black Panther and the Thing!!!

It should premiere 1st in FF3 (where the character got his start) and then move on to its own film series. I think Tim Story can deliver a beautiful and majestic Africa.

If they base his film character roughly on the current storyline in the comics, Storm can even show up in the film in a cameo role...go Halle Berry (It's all under FOX)!!

I would also love to see something a little more 'otherworldly' such as the Inhumans and Attilan. That would also be amazing!!

They could even have Prince Namor and his Atlanteans attack the surface dwellers, but I believe Universal has the rights to Namor!

I'd rather see the Kree/Skrull stuff than Black Panther.
I really like him, but he can have his own movie or something.

Well since they seem to be updating and screwing over a lot of stuff in the movies anyway. You can too have BP and the skrulls or The chitari or whatever they are called in the ultimate line. The Skrulls was in that Ulitimate Avengers featuring the BP, so what the hey, it wouldn't be that hard to swap the F4 in place of the Avengers. Although i'm just talking for entertainment's sake. I DO NOT WANT BP TO END UP AT FOX!!!! He's better off at marvel. Let them put him in the mix when marvel does an Avengers movie, which will be very very likly if IM and Hulk are successful come next summer.

Antoine Fuqua is who I want directing a BP movie. I also wanted him to take on Iron Man before Favs was chosen, but that's what I suggest.

I don't know...while Black Panther was introduced in the Fantastic Four comics, he isn't really...well, an FF character, you know?

It's not like the Silver Surfer, where in that case, a big part of the character was based on his involvement with the Fantastic Four. T'Challa is more or less his own character and storyline, of a very different type than the sprawling, intergalactic arcs that the FF are famous for. I mean, I'd kill to see Black Panther in his own solo movie (preferably one based on the Priest run)...and I'd rather see him introduced in that kind of movie, instead of having to share the spotlight.

Besides that, I'm really hoping that for FF3 they have the Fantastic Four either go into the Negative Zone villains or face off against the Skrulls. :o

I pray no one is really serious about Singleton directing a BP movie. That would be a disaster!

the shapshifter in theUA movies WERE calledthe c'hitari:ninja:

I am pulling for the Inhumans in FF3. Black Panther does not need to be introduced in an FF movie. He can carry a movie himself. The Inhumans also stay more in the sci-fi realm the Silver Surfer is in better than the Black Panther does.
