Only problem is RZ is such a freak he might actually enjoy that.If I were John Carpenter, I would have called Jack Burton and asked him to go b***h slap Rob's ass!
JC's 'Halloween' is a classic.
I've heard this same argument from other people before, such as my sister when we went to see the movie when it first came out, and I just don't get your reasoning. Do you really expect Sarah Connor to be the same innocent, naïve, damsel in distress that she was in the first movie? Don't you think that the burden of her knowledge of what was to come would have weighed heavily on her psyche?
The original Terminator is the only REALLY good Terminator film. T2 has the T-1000, but I still enjoyed Arnie's T-800 as the villain more and I still enjoyed Kyle Reese as the hero more (really? The resistance would send back a robot to protect John? One that looks exactly like the one that tried to off his mother a decade before? Yeah that makes sense).
Yes, I do. That doesn't make someone a psycho-killer. The reinvention of her character reads like an early 90's extreme Image comic reboot. It was ridiculous. There were other ways her character could have evolved. There was nothing in the first movie that pointed to her becoming a hardened, gun-toting, innocent person maiming commando. She could have been darker and more desperate without being a cartoon.
Plus I hated John in T2. A petulant, preteen delinquent who just consistently annoyed the crap out of me.

So if a Jew were given a chance to travel back in time and put a bullet in Adolph Hitler's brainpan 10 years before he comes to power, you don't think he/she would take it? Damn right he would! In her mind she was totally justified in trying to kill Dyson. He was responsible for the deaths of 3/4 of the people on the planet.
That doesn't make her a psycho killer. It just means she's willing to kill one person to save 4 billion.

Do you really expect Sarah Connor to be the same innocent, naïve, damsel in distress that she was in the first movie? Don't you think that the burden of her knowledge of what was to come would have weighed heavily on her psyche? The stress of living off the grid as much as possible? She might have been the same character, but there's no way in Hell she would be the same person, if you understand my meaning. I think the writers did an excellent job on her character. She's no longer just a waitress at a diner trying to get by in life. She's now responsible for the salvation of the entire human race. That's a LOT of pressure for ANYBODY to handle. So I have no problem with the writers deciding that she doesn't handle it all that well.

Don't try to be logical with him, did you not see his list included 2001: A Space Odyssey and The Shining?
To be honest, I find 2001: A Space Odyssey to be highly over rated. But I wouldn't go so far as to call it the worst big budget blockbuster ever. Just over rated.
The fact that she's in an institute, not allowed to see her son, is probably still doubting what she saw from the first Terminator showing up and all the while being injected with all sorts of drugs that mess with her already ****** up head?... Not to mention those guards/care workers that were probably abusing and raping her.
That's a neat cartoon.
And she what? Just ended up in the institute magically? Her character in T2 was ridiculously over the top.
Just a few movies that certainly didn't deserve to be blockbusters:
Transformers 1-3
Star Wars prequels
Alice in Wonderland
The Twilight Saga
There is an older movie with Whoopie Goldberg playing the catI never saw the live action Alice In Wonderland, so I won't comment on that.

So you're saying that if you met a woman on the street who was raving about killer robots from the future traveling back through time to assassinate her, you would think that's perfectly normal behavior and that she isn't in desperate need of medication and some very intense therapy?
And she what? Just ended up in the institute magically? Her character in T2 was ridiculously over the top.
That is nice in theory, but we are talking about a woman who literally had the world on her shoulders. She was raising the savoir of the human race, knowing that everyday that went by, the end of the world was getting closer. The sheer effort of attempting to prepare John would be enough to drive someone over the edge.My point is, she's smarter than to just rave on the street like a lunatic. She saw Reese in the police interrogation room. She knows that accomplishes nothing. She would have approached the problem from a smarter angle. Maybe attack what Cyberdyne is doing NOW and its possible consequences, rather than claim to be an all-knowing seer. At the very least, she could have hired some people to carry out corporate sabotage on the company. I just think the Sarah from T1 was too saavy and smart to end up in an asylum. It doesn't jibe with the character's original portrayal.

Yes, the world was about to end. She was way over the top...
I will say one thing. I feel like Cameron tried to make Sarah Connor too tough at times. Like when the T-1000 is on top of the elevator, Sarah Connor grabs the T-850's pistol and starts shooting at the ceiling. Every time I watch that scene, I think "What the hell is that going to do?"
