Thoughts on the rest of the MOS cast in terms of keep vs recast in a MOS sequel?
I felt like the Daily Planet characters weren't to interesting in MOS. To top it off they never really featured much in either BVS or JL so I never got to attached to the Daily planet crew. I did enjoy Amy Adams and Diane Lane in their roles but also wouldn't feel that saddened if they where replaced.
You have to admit, with all of the bad things that has happened to Superman's film franchise, you can't help but wonder if there really is some kind of cursed fro the character.lol
I think that if the Supergirl movie happens and catches on in a big way we won't see a new Superman for a while.Even Spiderman seemed cursed after a failed reboot in less than 10 years.
There is always space to relaunch a character, BUT the problem is that WB don't seem to care anymore about developing their comicbook franchises on the silver screen.
I wouldn't bet a cent about a new Superman movie.
I think that it could be a good thing. IMO Superman should relaunch the cb genre in 5-10 years.
The time after "Superman Returns" was a stressful time as a Superman fan and it was a relief when MOS was announced and made. I thought finally things were rolling for an ongoing Superman universe. Then it happened all over again.
Brandon's our Lazenby. Henry's our Dalton. Guess we'll get a Brosnan next, which I'm ok with.
No no, see, first we need to get our "Traditional Fun Version That Reminds Everyone That They Actually Like The Character" Supes (Brosnan) before we get to our "Better Version of Serious/Gritty After First Failed Attempt" Supes (Craig).Forget Brosnan, I want our Superman version of Daniel Craig asap.

So...you're saying we'd get a great one!But that means then that we will get four superman films where one of them is great (i e. Goldeneye), the other one is alright (i.e. Tomorrow Never Dies), the third one is meh (i.e. The World is not Enough), and the final one being a disaster (i.e. Die Another Day). We already went through that during Christopher Reeve's tenure.

Well if they're hellbent on keeping the cast, they can just replace Cavill with his Canadian doppelganger and hope no one notices, lol.
Replace 'em all or nobody, imo.

So first Brandon and now Henry.
It's mind boggling on how we have yet to have a successful modern day superman franchise.
We are at two strikes right now. If the next actor that plays Superman isn't able to hit a homerun with the next reboot then I think Warner Bros should seriously consider calling it quits for now.
And that is assuming that we get a new superman film. Like others have said, if we get a Supergirl film that ends up being very successful then we aren't going to see Superman for a VERY LONG time folks.
Not really. Superman doesn't have Successful Cinematic Superhero Qualities, and the qualities that he does have are what make him Superman and differentiate him from other heroes. It's mind boggling on how we have yet to have a successful modern day superman franchise.
