DC ELSEWORLDS: Reimagining Keaton Sequels & DC Films that Never Were

Thanks a lot. Even though I left aside all the different worlds' side characters (multiple Alfred, Gordon, Lois, Mera etc etc etc) and villains (haven't a clue which ones that would be appearing) to only put focus on the cast for heroes, it's still a true masterpiece among the other fan casts here :)
It's atleast a bigger project than my previous posts in this thread.

Just imagine how Kubrick will treat the heroes for 5 hours, and how anti-matter waves will make as short work of the majority of them as Thanos' snap did in MCU.
But not before all of the actors have their chance to shine, and do some fighting, of course

I like your latest Batman and Superman too, especially that you recast Lois.
The plot you came up with feels natural. Even such small details as Fox's and Alfred's reaction to Supes.

Thanks Airwings. I tried to come up with the type of Batman and Superman story that Nolan would want to come up circa 2006-2007.

He would want the two characters to work together as opposed to fighting each other which has was the studios preference in terms of a crossover.

I really do think that Bale's Bruce would really like Routh's Clark and Superman on a personal level, in addition to respecting him. I also think Routh's Clark would like Bale's Batman and Bruce Wayne on a personal level as well.

I think these two guys would be friends, even if they may see some things differently. I could totally see Bale's focused and driven Bruce Wayne be taken, in a good way, with these two high hearted and off beat people in Lois Lane and Clark Kent.

And so, in that sense, they would open him up a bit and show a different side to him.

That would, in turn, please Alfred because it would give Bruce a positive force in his life and would give him actual friends as opposed to the socialites and associates he normally deals with.

On Lois and Clark's end, I wanted the trip to Gotham to be almost like a vacation, with the events of Superman Returns still weighing on both of them. So they both go to Gotham for what they think is gonna be a dull ,cake walk- like story, but instead, in turns into a side adventure and the formation of a new friendship with Bruce Wayne.

In terms of recasting Lois, I went with Lilly because she was considered for Lois Lane during the Superman Returns casting period.

I also wanted to get an actress who could play the feisty, funny, tough, and attractive elements of Lois Lane, while at the same, having the maturity to be a mother.

In terms of villains, I wanted to pick some villains who could conceivably operate in both Nolan's world, and the Singer/Donner more grounded world. I wanted to stick to the underworld aspects of BB yet also incorporate a more grounded version of intergang and some of their more heightened villains.

So I decided to use Black Mask as representing Gotham , and Slade, John Corban, and Winslow Slott representing Metropolis. So the union feels alot more natural than since they're all on a similar level.

I didn't want to use Lex given the way SR ended , and given any goals that the SR version of Lex would have would be different from the Gotham mob.

I also didn't want to use Crane, because he's basically still in hiding, and I wasn't going to use Joker since he should come off as something totally out of left field when TDK happens. So, I used Black Mask, who, while being a threat , doesn't risk making Joker's eventual appearance in Gotham seem anti- climatic.

In an alternate 1945, a handful of popular directors were assembled to adapt the new crop of comic book characters as one hour films in black and white, where their stories are told in a serious light for a more mature audience. Meaning not suited for kids of that time.
Each of them had freedom to shape the story the way they wanted as long as the basics were still present.

GREEN ARROW:
ESCAPE FROM SUPER MAX

directed by Neill Blomkamp
script by David Goyer & Justin Marks

Summer 2010
The film opens with a MONTAGE showcasing OLIVER QUEEN a.k.a. GREEN ARROW already operating in STAR CITY for the past 10 years, evading authorities, acting as a defender of the city’s underclass.
  • Only recently with the establishment of intelligence agency CHECKMATE is there a real focus on APPREHENDING him.
In the first PRESENT-DAY scene, Queen accepts an award at an AWARDS GALA, while in another section of Star City, COL. TALEB BENI KHALID is overseeing a new Checkmate installation.

The facility is invaded by a MYSTERIOUS INTRUDER who assassinates Col. Khalid with Green Arrow’s signature weapon: BOW & ARROW.

The awards ceremony introduces MARCUS CROSS, a rival CEO eager to overtake Queen’s business interests, and Queen’s best friend and lawyer HACKETT. We also meet MOIRA QUEEN, Oliver’s mother and beloved Star City philanthropist.

Queen has to abruptly leave the dinner to investigate the Checkmate attack, only to find an ARMY OF GUARDS waiting.

ACTION / CHASE SEQUENCE: Green Arrow attempts to EVADE THE AUTHORITIES, although he is ultimately DETAINED, and becomes the subject of a HIGH-PROFILE TRIAL (a second montage sequence).

During his TESTIMONY, DR. HUGO STRANGE argues no traditional prison can hold Green Arrow and that the CHECKMATE-OPERATED PENITENTIARY in which he practices would be best-suited for Queen’s “UNIQUE REHABILITATION.”

After he’s found GUILTY, Queen is sentenced to the SUPER MAX (Strange’s aforementioned facility) & flown to its TOP SECRET LOCATION.
  • Oliver is PROCESSED—his head and goatee are SHAVED, and he’s assigned a GREEN JUMPSUIT.
  • The color of inmates’ jumpsuits are assigned based on POWER LEVELS. Green=human.
AMANDA WALLER is introduced as the TOUGH-AS-NAILS WARDEN of the prison.
  • She serves as a MAIN ADVERSARY foil for Queen, who’s monitored every second of the day & surrounded by inmates eager to kill him. (Queen did send many of them here, after all.)
The QUIETER MOMENTS Queen has in the Super Max are PUNCTUATED by FLASHBACKS of his ORIGIN STORY—
  • He was a rich, jerk millionaire who drunkenly fell off his PARTY YACHT years ago and washed ashore a DESERTED ISLAND.
  • Once he realizes no search party is on its way, Queen begins to master the skills necessary to SURVIVE, and ultimately ESCAPE, including use of a BOW & ARROW.
As Queen adjusts to PRISON LIFE, he begins to recognize the HUMAN-RIGHTS abuses of Super Max and even slowly realizes the HUMANITY in some of his fellow inmates.

Back in Star City, it’s revealed that Hackett has been working with Cross all along, MANIPULATING EVENTS all the way back to Queen’s falling overboard—Queen was, in actuality, DRUGGED & PUSHED OVERBOARD by Hackett.
  • With Queen still alive, it’s unlikely his company/assets can move to Cross—the authorities were supposed to KILL QUEEN in the beginning of the film, not ARREST HIM.
  • It’s further revealed that a LONG-TIME NEMESIS MALCOLM MERYLN is Khalid’s true assassin from the film’s opening.
  • With Queen now in prison, Hackett & Cross put a BOUNTY on his head so the inmates will FINISH THE JOB.
As Queen fights for his life in the Super Max, he starts to form UNEASY ALLIANCES with established DC villains like GEMINI, TATTOOED MAN, BLOCKBUSTER, and PIED PIPER.
  • In addition to the inmates, Cross has paid-off ONE OF THE GUARDS, further placing Queen in a few life-threatening situations.
In order to get himself ARRESTED and finish the task of killing Queen, Merlyn MURDERS Cross in front of Hackett (who now wants Queen’s company for himself). The history between the two archers drives the psychotic Merlyn, and makes this a personal mission for him.
  • He’s able to construct a COMPOUND BOW from FOUND-MATERIAL and some WIRE he smuggled in using a FAKE TOOTH.
  • In his first attempt, Merlyn FAILS to kill Queen. The fight does however provide Queen with a bow and arrow, creating homage to his DISTINCTIVE GREEN COSTUME and WEAPON for the remainder of the film.
Queen, with his inmate allies, hatches an ELABORATE ESCAPE—
  • Queen’s plans UNRAVEL when the RIDDLER becomes an UNFORESEEN OBSTACLE for the rag-tag group of inmates. Merlyn, of course, is the FINAL “boss fight.”
  • BETRAYALS and NOBLE SACRIFICES are featured—most prominently, Gemini, who is the final to fall & help Queen ESCAPE THE SUPER MAX, foregoing her own plans to once again see her 9-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER (by this point in the story, Gemini will have become Queen’s closest ally in addition to Pied Piper—a casualty of one of the aforementioned noble sacrifices).
When he’s finally outside, Queen discovers Super Max is not in the swamps of the United States, but is actually located somewhere in the MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN, raising the stakes and presenting Queen with yet another “IMPOSSIBLE ESCAPE” scenario.
  • In this moment, Queen overcomes his panic—this isn’t the first times he’s had to beat the IMPOSSIBLE ODDS and escape an island (but hopefully the last!).
Ultimately, Queen GATHERS PROOF necessary to establish his innocence, granting him LEGAL FREEDOM and leading to an FBI INVESTGATION into the late Marcus Cross’s businesses & dealings. Queen also exposes Super Max’s abuses to the world which leads to Amanda Waller’s PUBLIC OUSTING and Dr. Hugo Strange’s installment as the Super Max’s NEW WARDEN.
  • We see Strange SMILE as he sits in Waller’s desk; and Riddler’s cell is now OUTFITTED with LAVISH FURNITURE and INTERNET ACCESS, courtesy of the new Warden—the audience is left to question just how far both their influence/manipulation went...
Hackett, knowing that Green Arrow has connected all the dots, takes Moira Queen hostage and threatens her at GUNPOINT is a desperate attempt to save his skin. In a TENSE CONFRONTATION, Queen saves his mother from Hackett by shooting an ARROW into the GUN’S BARREL, defeating his former best friend and winning the day...

Some time later, the film closes with Queen visiting Gemini in prison—a MUCH NICER FACILITY than Super Max. He brings along a young charge. Queen still believes Gemini will be released one day, but until then, he’s WATCHING OVER Gemini’s daughter.

GREEN ARROW WILL RETURN.

THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS
directed by Zack Snyder
written by David Goyer & Chris Terrio

Spring 2016
A loose adaptation of FRANK MILLER’S CLASSIC, changed primarily to connect DCU continuity of my previous posts—

2009: Wonder Woman
2010: Green Arrow: Escape the Super Max
2011: Green Lantern
2012: Flash
2013: Man of Steel

No longer set in the 80s, but instead PRESENT-DAY (the intention is that the upcoming Rob Pattinson films are/will be set in the 90s and serve as narrative PREQUELS to Ben Affleck’s ongoing adventures post-TDKR that will include an Affleck-directed Justice League, and possible appearances in Batman-spin-offs including but not limited to Nightwing, Birds of Prey, and Batgirl.)
  • Gotham City’s progress has become STAGNANT and is DECAYING (opportunity to still showcase the city/setting in a STYLIZED manner).
Years ago, BRUCE WAYNE a.k.a. BATMAN hung up the cowl after the DEATH OF JASON TODD, the second ROBIN.

The film will largely adhere to the overall plot of the original classic—Batman must come out of retirement to save Gotham City from the clutches of the MUTANT GANG menace, and the gang’s MUTANT LEADER. His return coincides with the re-emergence of HARVEY DENT as TWO-FACE, and leads to the eventual FINAL
SHOWDOWN against the JOKER.
  • Inspired by the Batman, CARRIE KELLY becomes the NEW ROBIN.
Because this story is set in-continuity, additional changes made:

AMANDA WALLER replaces President Reagan as the reason SUPERMAN joins the fight (Waller is manipulating the EARNEST, NAIVE superhero who is OVER-ZEALOUS to prove himself an ally to the American people after General Zod’s INVASION in 2013’s Man of Steel).
  • She convinces Superman that Gotham City has become the WILD WEST, with Batman serving his OWN BRAND of JUSTICE—Gotham City needs “a hero.”
  • Also, OLIVER QUEEN a.k.a. GREEN ARROW’s motivations will be changed to be anti-Waller instead of anti-Superman following the events of 2010’s Escape the Super Max. Queen has been RETIRED for years—but, unlike the comic, still has both arms!
Additionally, SELINA KYLE no longer operates an escort service but instead a HOME FOR
GIRLS, using her fortune amassed from a LIFE OF CRIME for good. Batman is forced to seek her help when one of the home’s girls, ELSIE, is seen again operating as a PROSTITUTE—her irregular shift in behavior is later explained to be MIND MANIPULATION by the Joker. Batman goes to Selina for information about Elsie’s sudden return to the streets.

This is the first in my proposed revisionist DCEU that isn’t born from an actual planned/aborted Warner Bros. project; although one could make the case that it was the story Zack Snyder was more interested in telling in 2016: Zack Snyder on his 'dirty and gritty' vision for a Dark Knight Returns movie with a 'crusty, old Batman'

BATMAN AND SUPERMAN CROSSROADS (2010)
Director : Christopher Nolan
Producer: Charles Roven
Script : David Goyer and Paul Haggis
Music: Hans Zimmer

Story: Set several months after the events Dark Knight, Bruce Wayne is lost. Gotham is still reeling from the events set in motion by the Joker but Batman is helpless intervene. The Batman is wanted for the murder of Harvey Dent and several others , yet the Gotham Police can't find him. Batman, has disappeared without a trace. He's cut off all contact with James Gordon knowing that Gordon is under the strict eye of Internal Affairs. Struggling with the lost of his one true love Rachel Dawes, Billionaire Bruce Wayne has been seen less and less making the rounds of Gotham High Society. In boardroom meetings he seems even less engaged and even more distracted than before. He spends most of his evenings locked inside his fancy Penthouse apartment overlooking Gotham and just sits with his thoughts and his regrets.

When Lucius Fox informs Bruce about Wayne Enterprises intention on scouting locations in Smallville Kansas to build a Wayne Enterprise research facility in association with Star Labs , Bruce , at Alfred's urging, decides to leave Gotham and spend a couple of weeks in Smallville. Not only will it give Bruce a chance to get his mind off of Rachel, but he also knows Smallville is the hometown of a great man he once met and became friends with two years earlier, Clark Kent. Alfred decides to accompany Bruce on the trip feeling it would be good for Bruce to have him there with him.

In Smallville, Clark Kent, like Bruce, is also going through his own emotional loss. A few months after the death of his son turned villain by Brainiac, a depressed Clark Kent returns to the Kent Family farm alone to sort out his thoughts. Much like when he returned from his long absence , Clark is dealing with alot of different emotions, from sadness to regret to a lingering feeling of powerlessness. He still suits up as Superman when there's danger, but afterwards , he returns to the Kent family farm where Martha resides.

While back in Smallville , Clark has reconnected to his first love Lana Lang, who never left the small town. She still loves him, but knows his heart is with Lois Lane and that he's still grieving the loss of Jason. Once Bruce arrives at the Kent farm Clark happily greets him and insists that Bruce stays on the Kent farm during his trip so that the two of them can catch up. Bruce asks Clark if he still trusts him after the death of DA Harvey Dent. Clark tells him he knows Bruce, and he knows Bruce didn't kill Harvey or those people. With that, Clark welcomes Bruce and Alfred to stay at the Kent Homestead.

While Alfred is taken aback by the farming life a bit , Alfred and Martha strike up a friendship with both parents sharing a few things in common. When Bruce is not scouting potential locations for a Wayne Enterprise /Star Labs building, he's doing farm chores with Clark, going to the Smallville square, meets Lana Lang, and the two men are commiserate about their predicaments. They both end up finding some solace in each other's company.

However, as Clark , Bruce, and Lana continue to spend time together two threats from two cities descend on Smallville each with their own objective. John Corban, who had been mortally wounded and presumed dead at the end of the events of Batman and Superman has returned a changed man. Now, implanted with cybernetic arms and legs , in addition to a chest plate which contains Kryptonite , he's become known in the international underworld as Metallo. He's laid in waiting for two years for revenge with the knowledge of both Batman and Superman's identities.

Intergang, feeling Metallo has become more and more unstable orders Metallo to leave Batman and Superman alone. Metallo refuses. Acting against the wishes of Intergang , he takes off after The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel. Now that he knows both heroes are in Smallville and both are at their weakest emotionally and in some respects, physically, he wants them both to suffer, and eventually kill them, and he wants to use Superman's friend Emil Hamilton and Clark's old flame Lana Lang to do it. However, Metallo's plan runs into a roadblock from an equally powerful opponet known as Mr Freeze.

Mr Freeze has also come to Smallville, but not for revenge on Batman, but because time is running out on his wife Nora who's been frozen in cryogenic chamber. Freeze has discovered that Lana Lang's genetic make up and an experimental medical procedure involving Kryptonite, may be the only way of saving Nora, and Emil Hamilton is the only doctor and scientist who can perform this experiment with the use of equipment exclusive to Star Labs. At the same time, Freeze knows that Metallo is powered in large part by Kryptonite, which is scarce , and which has put Metallo directly in his line of sight.

The Intergang organization, knowing that Mr Freeze is searching for Kryptonite throws Metallo to the wolves and gives up his location in exchange for wiping out Metallo for his disobedience . Freeze without hesitation takes the information on Metallo he needs and actively seeks him out. Freeze has come too far to save his wife, and he will allow no one, whether it be Batman, Superman, or even Metallo to stand in his way.

So, with Lana Lang the key to saving Nora's life and the target of Metallo''s quest for vengeance, she finds herself in a deadly tug of war between two supervillains. Now, a hero in mourning will have to fight to save his old flame from an enemy who's armed with his only weakness, and another hero who's nearly broken will have to face a villain who , in many ways, is the emotional mirror to him.

Batman and Superman find themselves at a crossroads in a battle which will take them from the streets of Smallville Kansas, to a Star Labs facility on the outskirts of Metropolis.

JUSTICE LEAGUE
directed by Ben Affleck
story by Michele & Kiernan Mulroney
screenplay by Michele & Kiernan Mulroney, and Chris Terrio

November 2017
An adaptation of the original Justice League Mortal script, changed primarily to connect DCU continuity of my previous posts & expand/improve upon plot ideas—

2009: Wonder Woman
2010: Green Arrow: Escape the Super Max
2011: Green Lantern
2012: Flash
2013: Man of Steel
2016: The Dark Knight Returns

Open on a MONTAGE of each hero in action—SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, FLASH, MARTIAN MANHUNTER, and GREEN LANTERN—highlighting them FIGHTING CRIME in all their glory, etc. intercut with their ORIGINS (from their solo films) as the lengthy credits run over:

JUSTICE LEAGUE

Fade in on a FUNERAL in METROPOLIS for a FALLEN HERO. THOUSANDS OF MOURNERS are in attendance. All of the League are present except for Batman. The heroes are wearing all DARKENED VERSIONS of their normal costumes (Wonder Woman wears AMAZONIAN CEREMONIAL ROBES). As the fallen hero's COFFIN is placed in the GRAVE the story flashes back to...

"Two Days Ago"

Batcave, Gotham City:
BRUCE WAYNE a.k.a. BATMAN
sits in front of his cave’s MAIN COMPUTER CONSOLE using a SATELLITE known as the "BROTHER EYE" to spy on the other heroes (a digital surveillance file version of the opening montage—our triumphant introduction of the heroes was actually them being SECRETLY RECORDED). ALFRED PENNYWORTH enters the cave and informs him that "Bruce Wayne" has a PARTY upstairs to attend. Batman shuts down the Brother Eye and exits the cave.

After he leaves, Brother Eye REACTIVATES itself...

Denver, CO:
Retired GENERAL SWANWICK (a.k.a. J'ONN J'ONZZ / MARTIAN MANHUNTER) is returning to his home cabin when he discovers a JAR containing what looks like a SEAHORSE. When he removes the "seahorse" from the jar, the creature sprays him with an UNKNOWN SUBSTANCE that causes him to burst into FLAMES. In a panic, J'onzz takes off, accidentially setting everything he comes into contact with on fire.

Central City:
BARRY ALLEN (a.k.a. FLASH)
is having lunch with his girlfriend IRIS at a superhero-themed restaurant known as PLANET KRYPTON. On the TV overhead, we see news coverage of Ambassador DIANA PRINCE (a.k.a. WONDER WOMAN) speaking at the UN which catches Barry’s gaze. It’s interrupted by a breaking news story about a HUGE INFERNO raging through Denver, Colorado. Barry puts on his Flash costume and races off to Denver to help.

When the Flash arrives in Denver, he's greeted by Wonder Woman. Together they are able to subdue the Manhunter by tying him up with Wonder Woman's LASSO and blasting him with a constant STREAM OF WATER.

Wayne Manor, Gotham City:
At Bruce’s party, Bruce is greeted by the eccentric owner of Planet Krypton, MAXWELL LORD. Wayne comments how quickly Lord seems to have come into his wealth. Meanwhile, TALIA AL GHUL is at the party too, along with LEX LUTHOR—a proverbial LION’S DEN (intentionally done so Bruce can keep an eye on them all). Bruce next bumps into OLIVER QUEEN (a.k.a. GREEN ARROW) who playfully mentions Dinah’s not going to like that he’s out in Gotham so late. Alfred interrupts and informs Bruce of the situation in Denver.

New York, NY:
Wonder Woman and the Flash have the Manhunter submerged in an "ORNATE BATHING POOL" in Wonder Woman's CONSERVATORY to keep him from bursting into flames (Manhunter has caught WW and Flash up-to-speed on his origins off-screen, and Flash catches the audience up with some helpful exposition). SUPERMAN arrives and meets the Flash for the first time—there’s some quick banter about the Planet Krypton restaurant; Flash is clearly a bit NERVOUS/EXCITED. Manhunter tells Superman about the "seahorse" and says whoever set this up knew the Manhunter's one weakness: FIRE.

Central City:
The Flash returns home to do some research. Once home, Iris informs him that her nephew WALLY WEST is going to stay with them for the week. Wally, like Barry, also possesses SUPER SPEED (established in a sequel to 2012’s Flash) . Barry asks Wally to help him with his research.

Atlantis:
Wonder Woman brings Superman with her to the DEEP DEPTHS of the sea to speak to KING ARTHUR (a.k.a. AQUAMAN) about the mysterious "seahorse", while Flash stays behind to tend to J’onn. There is a LONG HISTORY between ATLANTIS & THEMISCYRA, and it’s more-than-hinted that Arthur has FEELINGS for Wonder Woman (which she uses to her advantage later to convince him to help).

Arthur goes on a TIRADE about how he's come to the aid of mankind several times over the years and yet they continue to harm and POLLUTE the oceans. He shows Wonder Woman his PROSTHETIC WATER HAND and says "I have given my pound of flesh". Arthur does not know anything about the seahorse—other than it’s been perverted by someone with little regard for another’s life. Arthur eventually agrees to come to the surface and help the Manhunter "for her" (Wonder Woman).

Elsewhere:
It's revealed that the people behind the attack, and the ones who took control of Brother Eye, are Maxwell Lord & Talia al Ghul.

Gotham City:
ROBIN
saves TWO GCPD OFFICERS from being tortured by a BIKER GANG. One of the gang members flees into the MONARCH MOVIE THEATER, and Batman arrives. He follows the biker inside but before he can apprehend him, the biker transforms into a HUGE ARMORED SUPER-SOLDIER known as an OMAC. The OMAC easily defeats Batman, who orders Robin to stand down. Before the OMAC can kill Batman, Robin stands in front of him—which reveals there is a coding to Brother Eye to protect Robin/stand-down when’s she’s endangered. This allows Robin enough time to get Batman into the BATMOBILE & escape.

Back at the cave, Batman rushes to the computer despite Alfred’s insistence for medical attention and tries to access Brother Eye, but the satellite tells him that he no longer has control of it.

Coast City:
HAL JORDAN (a.k.a. GREEN LANTERN)
arrives at FERRIS AIRFIELD, thinking he was called by CAROL FERRIS. When he arrives, a series of EXPLOSIONS set off amongst the hangars. Hal scans the debris ADMIST THE SMOKE, FEARING he’s too late to save Carol & the people. Moments later, Jordan realizes he’s become BLIND. Panicking, he LOSES CONTROL of his GL RING and his energy constructs begin destroying the airfield further as he succumbs to his fears.

New York, NY:
Meanwhile back at Wonder Woman's conservatory, Aquaman is stung by a ROBOT MOSQUITO which gives him AQUAPHOBIA (later revealed to be engineered from SCARECROW’S FEAR TOXIN). He tears off his water hand and throws it aside. However, the Manhunter is able to use the water hand as a SUIT OF WATER ARMOR which will prevent him from bursting into flames.

Coast City:
Superman and Flash go to Green Lantern's aid in Coast City. They manage to calm him down, & both Superman and Flash confirm to GL neither Carol nor any of his friends are/were here at the airfield. He was set up to believe they died. To be afraid. They bring GL back to join the others, though he is still blinded.

The Arctic:
The heroes travel to the FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE, fearing that the attacks against them may endanger the city & civilians around them. At the Fortress, they are eventually joined by Batman, who arrived via BATPLANE, and is now forced to wear "HIGH-TECH BRACES" (akin to TDKR comics) due to his INJURIES he sustained during his battle with the OMAC in the theater.

Batman, concealing his injuries under his cape, tells the heroes about the Brother Eye and how he used it learn about their powers and weaknesses. He explains that, after his battle with Superman in The Dark Knight Returns, he wanted to prepare and know the HEROES’ WEAKNESSES so he could defeat them in case they ever turned against humanity—or “stood in his way”, as Flash likes to call out. Batman then tells them that someone, he doesn't know who yet, has taken over Brother Eye and is using the data it collected to attack them.

Wonder Woman PUNCHES Batman, dropping him down to one knee. When he stands up the other heroes notice the braces he's wearing and inquire what happened to him. He tells them about his fight with the OMAC.

The Flash receives a cell phone call from who he believes is Iris (“Wow—that is some great cell service, Supes”). When he answers the phone, a NANOBOT comes out of it and goes into his body where it attaches itself to his SPINE. The Flash's body starts VIBRATING UNCONTROLLABLY. His body vibrates so fast that he PHASES COMPLETELY through the center of the Earth. He rockets out of the ground on the other side of the planet and flies into the air before plummeting back into the Earth, shooting back to his original position. Wonder Woman ensnares him with her lasso, which is able to temporarily prevent him from phasing through the Earth.

Batman leaves the group in order to search for the one behind the attacks—he needs time to think, but tells the group not to leave the Fortress. Manhunter goes to follow but Batman stops him: “You’ve got to prepare for surgery.”

Moments later, in transit in the Batplane, Batman tries to access Brother Eye again & discovers there's a NEWLY-CREATED FILE on him in the satellite’s database. When he inquires what his weakness is, Brother Eye responds: “you are only human.”

Flashback, Middle East.
Batman remembers his LAST NIGHT with Talia—she told him the same thing (“you are only human”). He realizes that, when she kissed him, she slipped a "NANOSCOPIC HOMING DEVICE" in his mouth which he UNKNOWINGLY SWALLOWED. He deduces that, through this device, she herself was able to keep surveillance on Bruce and monitor his work while building Brother Eye—she’s the architect of her own backdoor into Batman’s greatest weapon, all while it was still being built.

Fortress of Solitude:
Manhunter, using his TELEPATHY, guides Green Lantern through a SURGICAL PROCEDURE to remove the nanobots from the Flash's spine. This SUCCESSFULLY STOPS him from vibrating. Next, they do the same for Aquaman, which cures him of his aquaphobia. Manhunter gives himself a "LASE DERMABRASION" using his MARTIAN HEAT VISION and an ENERGY MIRROR created by Green Lantern. This cures him of his spontaneous combustion. Aquaman reclaims his water hand.

Manhunter goes into Lantern’s mind, and sees that his blindness is PSYCHOSOMATIC—brought on by an acute form of fear toxin. Hal snaps out of it and begins to see clearly, promising to punch Batman next time he sees him. Flash quips there might be a line...

Later, Wonder Woman is watching over Flash as he recuperates. Soon after, Wally runs to the Fortress with some (lots) of Planet Krypton takeout (Barry’s favorite) so he can CONSUME ENOUGH CALORIES to get his strength back. While Barry eats, the team gathers around and Wally BRIEFS THEM what on what he discovered helping Barry with his research—something called the OMAC (One Man Army Corps) PROJECT...

Flashback, OMAC Project:
The program started off dealing with NANOTECHNOLOGY & ROBOTICS but then shifted its focus to MIND CONTROL—all of which was funded through SHELL CORPORATIONS & OFFSHORE ACCOUNTS tracing back to the future-Planet Krypton LLC. & it’s surprise benefactor: Lex Luthor.

Years ago in the OMAC Project and under Luthor (with AMANDA WALLER), SEVERAL CHILDREN were EXPERIMENTED on in order to see if humans could be turned into PSYCHIC WARRIOR - soldiers with the ability to control the enemy with just the power of their minds. All of the children in the program died except one: JONAH WILKES.

Wally runs a picture of Wilkes through a FORENSIC-AGING PROGRAM he pirated on his phone to see what he would look like today.

The result: Maxwell Lord.

Batcave, Gotham City:
Before continuing the crusade, Batman FIRES Robin—feeling that the mission has too dangerous now and far beyond Gotham City, and it’s ALL HIS FAULT.

Alone, Batman locates Talia, tailing her back to Maxwell Lord's HIDEOUT. After confronting Talia, Batman realizes she can't be the one behind the attacks, and that Maxwell Lord is no super-genius to have done this himself. It's at this point that Lex Luthor REVEALS HIMSELF, not Lord, to be the one in control of Brother Eye.

Lord is still OBEDIENT to Luthor due to DEEP-SEEDED PROGRAMMING from the OMAC Project experimentation and is carrying out his orders. Lord is joined by THREE OF THE BIKERS from Gotham. Luthor then orders Brother Eye to initiate "PHASE ONE". Suddenly people in each of the heroes’ cities begin TRANSFORMING into OMACs. The bikers also transform into OMACs too and ATTACK Batman.
  • LUTHOR’S PLAN: Since Batman’s protocols failed to stop the heroes, the OMACs will do the job. And once that’s done, LexCorp will save the day and neutralize the OMAC threat—with sizable MILITARY CONTRACTS, etc.
Luthor leaves aboard a HELICOPTER for WASHINGTON DC with a smile as Batman is being beaten to death by the OMACs: “There’s business to be done.”

Lord, MIND BLANK & SLAVE to Luthor, stands watching. Talia begins to REGRET HER ACTIONS as she watches the already-weakened Batman fight for his life.

Fortress of Solitude:
The Martian Manhunter senses Batman's in danger as news report about OMACs attacking the capital flood the monitor screens in the Fortress. Despite his actions against them, the heroes unanimously decide they need to help Batman (Aquaman & Green Lantern are both humorously begrudging to go help).

Wonder Woman & Superman boom ahead, while Flash and Wally agree to do “CROWD CONTROL” against the attacking OMACs.

Gotham City:
Wonder Woman and Superman arrive at the villains’ lair before the other heroes and defeat the OMACs, saving Batman. Lord uses his PSYCHIC ABILITIES to take control of Superman's mind. He forces the Man of Steel to attack Wonder Woman. Batman attempts to help Wonder Woman by electrocuting Superman with two "HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CABLES". Superman is stunned for a moment, but quickly recovers and backhands Batman through the ceiling.

The battle between Superman and Wonder Woman extends ALL ACROSS THE CITY. At one point, Wonder Woman flies with Superman into the UPPER ATMOSPHERE. He counters and, using her own lasso, flings Wonder Woman back to Earth, where she crashes into the GOTHAM RIVER.

Aquaman arrives in the river and RESUSCITATES Wonder Woman, allowing her to escape back to the villains’ lair. Superman dives into the River in search of Wonder Woman, but instead finds Aquaman and an ARMY OF SEA CREATURES waiting for him. Superman defeats Aquaman and his army, but not before Arthur is able to slash Superman's chest with his MAGICAL TRIDENT. Wonder Woman ensnares Maxwell with her lasso and demands to know how she can free Superman, discovering that the only way is by killing Max, which she refuses to do.

Central City

Flash is fighting against OMACs invading the city & even protecting Iris—all while trying to zip across the country and gauge the situation.

Wally too finally has his BIG HERO MOMENT, having been inspired by Barry & the other superhero’s throughout the story.

Gotham City
Superman returns to the lair to continue his attack on Wonder Woman, but, this time, he's confronted by Green Lantern. Jordan creates a GREEN ENERGY CONSTRUCT of the Man of Steel. Now it's Superman vs "Green Superman". Every time Superman hits his GREEN CLONE, it grows larger. Jordan jokes that Superman can take harder hits than Batman ever could and, right now, GL needs to hit something. The Green Clone finally becomes large enough to grip Superman with one hand. Superman uses his SUPER BREATH to collapse part of a building on top of Green Lantern, knocking him out and destroying the Green Clone.

The Martian Manhunter then attempts to stop Superman by SHAPE-SHIFTING into the image of Kal-El's father, JOR-EL. Superman, however, sees through the deception and knocks the Manhunter out.

With the league all down, Maxwell orders Superman to “KILL THEM ALL.” At the last possible moment, Wonder Woman BREAKS MAXWELL’S NECK, killing him instantly, and freeing Superman—believing it was the only way. She’s horrified with her actions, and Superman tries to console her. Manhunter comments that there was little left to Lord’s mind after the OMAC Project.

Batman barks at them for trying to justify the murder of Maxwell Lord—this is the very reason he made Brother Eye.

But just as the argument begins, the true being responsible for the corruption of Brother Eye emerges: BRAINIAC, a SENTIENT ALIEN AI who seeks to record all life in the universe; deleting lifeforms & whole civilizations after they’ve been recorded. One such world, Krypton as he reveals to a bewildered Superman (It was General Zod’s use of the world engine in Man of Steel that first alerted Brainiac to Earth and drew him to co-opt Brother Eye upon his arrival, which was already collecting data).

Brainiac used the Planet Krypton restaurant chain to INFECT PEOPLE with the OMAC "virus"—Luthor thought this was for a personal army to defeat the League, but Brainiac has grander purposes. He then orders the "COLLECTION" to commence, downloading information from each new OMAC soldier as they BURN AWAY the Earth. Talia is KILLED by Brainiac, despite Batman’s efforts to save her. She dies in his arms: “MY BELOVED”

Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Aquaman, Green Lantern & Martian Manhunter are joined by the Flash, along with Wally, who is now wearing his own Flash COSTUME.

As the OMACs begin their attack on the Earth, Brainiac POSSESSES Barry Allen—seeing the opportunity to touch every corner of the universe at LIGHTNING SPEEDS—and transforms him into "BRAINIAC OMEGA". Superman fights Brainiac Omega while the rest of the Team battles the Brainiac-OMAC army. Robin is showcased in action, protecting Gotham City from the OMAC invasion with Alfred in her ear. By her side, dressed in his classic green hood, is GREEN AREOW!

Barry struggles to free his mind from Brainiac's control. He realizes that the only way to defeat Brainiac and stop the Brainiac-OMAC army is to SACRIFICE HIMSELF. Barry races off the battlefield and runs around world, getting faster & faster until he reaches light-speed. He slams into the SPEED FORCE, described as a "COSMIC WALL OF LIGHT.” In the space between seconds, Barry’s able to call out to Iris and the two have an EMOTIONAL, TEARFUL GOODBYE. Barry sacrifices himself, destroying Brainiac & ending his OMAC army across the planet.

The day is WON, but the League mourns Barry’s passing. Wally collapses into Wonder Woman’s arms.

It’s his first day as the Flash...

As the world calms calms and humans everywhere are freed from their nano-control, THE TRINITY (Superman, Batman, & Wonder Woman) arrives together in Washington DC to arrest Lex Luthor in front of the US President.

“Today”

Batcave, Gotham City:

During the FUNERAL PROCESSION, Batman sits in the cave. Robin arrives, ready to get back to work—she needs no explanation or apology from Bruce.

He gives her a knowing nod to her: “GOOD SOLDIER.”

Later, Superman arrives and entrusts Batman a PIECE OF KRYPTONITE. Bruce admits to Superman that he too was willing to kill Lord in the moment, and that Wonder Woman made the RIGHT CALL—the only call, given his mistakes.
  • The film even cuts back to scene w/ Wonder Woman about to snap Lord’s neck—with Bruce narrating to Superman—and we see a NEW PERSPECTIVE on the EVENTS: Batman, for a brief moment, glanced over at a policeman’s tossed-away FIREARM nearby Lord amidst the chaos while they were all trying to figure out how to stop him and save Superman.
Superman understands and can only place A HAND on Batman’s shoulder, “we’re only human, Bruce.”

Before leaving, Superman still challenges Batman, “all that power unchecked...”

To which Batman responds: “I do have a contingency plan. You.”

The two SHAKE HANDS.

Fortress of Solitude:
Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, and Wally West Flash meet together to join forces and form A LEAGUE—GL will still have his duties with the Corp, and Aquaman to his kingdom in the sea.

Then, the heroes notice something descending upon the Earth from space on the Fortress’ MONITOR.

The film ends with The JUSTICE LEAGUE launching themselves through OUTER SPACE to battle STARRO THE CONQUEROR.

Totally cool !:word:

Great directors with great casts !
Thanks.
This actually a really awesome thing, with putting the golden age of DC Comics of the 1940 up as episodic tales at the big screen, even if all these old projects would be dull to us now.
But in terms of filmatic art, all of them would be at different levels of masterpiece, with this kind of directors infusing their own style/theme/tone for the heroes. And the legendary actors playing them.

There was always the risk of type casting Flynn as Green Arrow, lol

It seemed that I overlooked Humphrey Bogart. Was first having him as Batman but needed to cast Gable in a role. All of the old big shots were a must.
Had planned to put Bogart in another project but forget to do so.
Maybe you noticed his absence?

Now you've posted another big film, complete with a story.
I can't keep up with your speed. You should seriously consider writing synopsises for studios

Let's imagine a silver-age superhero team-up film by Federico Fellini, released 1966
Green Arrow: Richard Harris
Green Lantern: Richard Burton
Sinestro: James Mason
Kilowog: Oliver Reed
Merlyn: Marcello Mastroianni

This would definately not be an ordinary genre film

I'll try another one already now, to keep up with Frodo's speed.

A re-imagining of the 1966 Batman series. Same actors for the heroes, but a different cast otherwise.
Gone are the family friendly tone and the camp and the parodic humour, now that it's geared toward an adult audience.
There are new superhero oufits that not only fits the 1970s, but also suits the more serious approach.

How to explain the change?
The 1966-verse could have been re-created as something different after Arrowverse's Crisis on infinite worlds. Gotham has changed. Perhaps Oliver Queen made it similar to his own world?

Sam Peckinpah's Batman (1972)

In this film, Alfred has died and Gotham has been without the dynamic duo for five years. Now they're back!

Bruce Wayne: Adam West
Dick Grayson: Burt Ward
Jason Todd: Jack Wild

Gordon: Lee Marvin
Chief O'Hara: James Coburn

Harvey Dent: Steve McQueen
Bullock: Ernest Borgnine

Penguin: Eli Wallach
Catwoman: Sophia Loren
The Riddler: Peter Sellers
Joker: Anthony Perkins

Deadshot: Charles Bronson
Deathstroke: Lee Van Cleef
Mr Freeze: Yul Brunner
Kato: Bruce Lee

Superman cameo: George Lazenby

Also starring Kirk Douglas, Tony Curtis, Franco Nero, Brigitte Bardot, Britt Ekland, Richard Roundtree and Pam Grier in various small roles

What a cast!!!! :wow:

The film is going to combine elements of 70s cop flics, with hong kong action and also blaxploitation. There are also a bunch of western actors.
It's evidently quite a lot of violence here.
And we should expext some nudity too.

I have my vision and don't change anything.
It would especially be interesting to see Adam and Burt make a serious sideways turn of their old characters.
And then I filled the rest of the cast where almost everybody is known for being serious and/or tough.

Your own vision is good too, but it's a different film from mine
:yay:

Indeed, I like yours as well! Just had to nerd out on Peckinpah!

When Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey accidently drive off an Australian cliffside during preproduction, WB scrambles to get a Superman film into theaters, starting over with a new script, a cast jumble and without a director accused of sex crimes.

BATMAN AND SUPERMAN : RISING (2014)
Director : Chris Nolan
Producer: Charles Roven
Script: David Goyer and Paul Haggis
Music: Hans Zimmer
Story: Taking place during Bane and the League of Shadows siege of Gotham, Bruce Wayne has escaped captivity and has travelled across the ancient world for two weeks attempting to remain hidden. He's stolen some clothes and some food, living much in the way he did during his years training and traveling. However, he's not wandering aimlessly. He needs the connections and the money to get back to Gotham to stop Bane from detonating the bomb. Bruce decides that his only option is to find one of his former teacher's in the league of shadows , the deadly the lady Shiva. He knows that her last known location was in Shanghai China and he's determined to find her again. Bruce isn't sure he can trust her 100%, but he hopes their, brief, yet secret affair during his training in the League will be a basis for her helping him not only improve on his fighting skills but to get back to Gotham.

All the while, the now married Lois and Clark are also headed to Shanghai to meet with Shiva, but on a different matter entirely. That matter has to do with information she has on the international criminal organization Intergang. Lois's sources in the intel community have told her that Intergang has some ties to the Terrorist known as Bane and that he may have a mysterious benefactors. Lois and Clark go under assumed names in order to avoid detection. Clark in particular is hoping that the information she has will be helpful in whatever way possible , in stopping Bane.

Ultimately, Bruce, Lois and Clark all end up running into each other at the Iceberg Hotel and Lounge in China were Shiva , under a different name resides with her partner and lover Kyodai Ken. Bruce's recognizes Ken as the man who posed as Ra's Al Ghul, and though meeting him under these circumstances with a woman he once shared a fling with is awkward at first Bruce is able to focus on the mission at time. Lois however can pick up on the awkward vibes and kinda teases Bruce a bit for the awkward circumstance. Meanwhile Bruce and Clark are happy to see each, and Shiva is amused at how small the world can be. Clark tells Bruce that he wanted to help during Bane's siege of Gotham but was basically deterred by the US President to not get involved for fear of aggravating Bane. Shiva assures Bruce and Clark that she can be trusted. Shiva , as one of the original members of the League of Shadows was instrumental in banishing Bane from the collective. Once Bane and his forces returned and took over the group Shiva and Kyodai were alienated from the league and left with several other members in disgust. They felt that Bane perverted the goals of the league for his own sadistic and violent ends as opposed to delivering true justice and establishing true balance.

Shiva also reveals to Bruce, Lois, and Clark , that the league of Shadows under Bane is far too weak to have pulled off the siege of Gotham and that someone else is holding the purse strings for the league of shadows post Ra's Al Ghul. That entity ,is Intergang led by the calculated and cunning Morgan Edge. For years, Edge and Intergang have funded Bane's "revolutions" around the world and through Edge's silent British arms dealer partner, The Penguin, they've propped up the League of Shadows under Bane. Edge could have eliminated Bane at any time , but has decided to fund Bane's antics in Gotham, knowing that when Gotham in incinerated and a fanatic like Bane with it , Intergang can finally establish its hold on the city , which they attempted to do 10 years earlier through Black Mask. All the while, Penguin will make a profit selling arms to whoever Intergang installs as the new head of the Gotham mob. For Edge and Penguin , its a win-win, relationship that has served them well for years.

As a result, Shiva has set herself up in the Iceberg Hotel with her agents collecting as much information as they can. Bruce , Clark, and Shiva now know what they must do. They must cut off Bane's financial spigot and arms crutch in order to leave him vulnerable. To do that, they know they must take down Intergang once and for all and take the Penguin, off the chess board. As it turns out ,Morgan Edge and the Penguin plan to meet at a secret gambling Casino on an island in the South China sea, to plot their future after the destruction of Gotham. Batman and Superman feel this meeting may be the last chance they have at evening the score with Bane when Bruce the rallies forces in Gotham to fight.

Bruce knows this may be a suicide mission and it may be futile , but he must level the playing field going back to Gotham. Clark again offers to go back to Gotham with him and stop Bane once and for all, but Bruce tells Clark that the people of Gotham must rise up against Bane alone and that Bruce alone must settle this.

Clark reluctantly agrees to Bruce's terms, but lets him know that Superman will be their to "lend a helping hand" if the bomb goes off and Bruce can't get away from the blast in time. Bruce knods, smiles, and tells him , " I'll hold you to that". Seeing Lois and Clark together, happy, at peace , and honest with each other, makes Bruce realize that he wants to have what they have. He wants to be happy and in love again. Thus, Bruce is determined that if he succeeds in this mission, and stops Bane, that he'll finally settle down and give up the cowl once and for all. But to do that, he's has one more hurtle to overcome before he can reach Gotham. So, the unlikely band of allies Batman, Superman, Shiva, Keyodi Ken, and Lois Lane, decide to head to the Island to stop Intergang once and for all, and to get one step closer to ceiling off Bane's supports.

However, Batman and Superman will have to get past a group of Morgan Edge's most deadly and loyal henchman KG Beast, Magpie, Deadshot, and Conduit. In a high stakes game of Baccarat, Lois Lane's plan to charm and distract The Penguin, Batman, Superman, Shiva, and Keyodi prepare for a showdown at high midnight in one of the most secluded Casino's and islands in the world, while the countdown reaches nearer to the nuclear destruction of Gotham. But , is the mysterious Morgan Edge a few steps ahead of The Man of Steel, The Dark Knight, and the Lady Assassin ? And are they walking into a trap?

Thanks a lot :)

Did you see the Fellini one as well? :)

Yes. Harris is one of my favorite actors and would make a great Oliver Queen. It would also be interesting to see Burton as The Green Lantern.

It’s hard to imagine a Harris / Burton GL/Ga would ever be able to get made with the amount of liquor it would require. And the throw Ollie Reed in too!

If it was made in the swinging London sixties, they'd have a great time:D.

Also, it's a Fellini film. That's something to rise eyebrows over :)

I'm soon leaving this thread. You can continue my legacy :)

I challenge you to create an Orson Welles directed Batman back in the 40s, starring Humphrey Bogart :word:
After that, the circle will be finished

The actors would also find it hard to imagine themselves playing comic book characters.
Why else would they need a lot to drink? :D
