WIP post here. Ever since I learned that Michael Keaton, Christopher Reeve, and Lynda Carter were born within a year of each other, I've been trying to re-configure the timeline of events and release so we get a Trinity movie by 1990-ish.

The idea that Michael Uslan gets his Batman project off the ground a few years earlier (instead of a full decade), that could put things right on the heels of Wonder Woman '84 (spinning off from the TV show). It's an amusing thought that all three of these could be rolling out all at once by accident. That's to say the studio wouldn't be planning for a cinematic universe, just that all three are looking to dominate at the box office one after the other, and the WB execs just have to cross their fingers and hope it all works out.

It would have been cool to see the two of them act together. I don't think they ever did a film together, unfortunately, but I would have loved to see them play off of each other.

The contrast would be so stark with Nicholson's sadistic, menacing, and threatening Joker with Eastwood's intimidating Batman.

As Batman he would have restraints and rules and a moral code. Harry Callahan, not so much.

Eastwood also didn't tend to have long lines of dialog like say Bale's Batman , so Nicholson would probably be doing most of the talking .

I guess if it were Eastwood, they would give him Eastwood like one liners or retorts to Nicholson's dialog ,followed by Batman striking into action.

Yeah. Fans, and alot of the press, needed to be convinced and actually see him act as Batman. Even Uslan was wary of Burton's choice until he saw Clean and Sober.

Ironically, Keaton's casting also affirmed, in some peoples minds, that the new Batman movie was going to be campy like the 60s show, hence the reason why WB would hire an actor known mostly for his comedic work.

Had they cast a 6'2 , square jawed , muscle man actor, I don't think there would have been as many complaints since that fit the mold of what people back thought that an actor playing a Superhero should look like.
