Any news about Aquaman 2?
Should never have casted her in the first place, but yeah...recasting should have happened long ago.
First time the Mainstream gets to see Mera and it had to be with her...the character deserved far better.
The stuff you could have done with Mera...tragic that we also now get reduced screentime for the character because of the actress.
Since when did We Got This Covered become a realiable source lol. I must have missed the memo. Regardless, I'm sure Heard was very nice to Snyder. She seems pretty good at putting up a facade, or so it seems.
I will believe she is not in it when reports start coming out about the Final Cut of the film and they say she's not.AMBER HEARD IS MERA
Maybe: Not anymore, she's not.
Just recast her and be done with it like I don't understand why DCEU and Warner Brothers are just dragging their heels on this
Perhaps get Zack Snyder to film replacement scenes with Tig Notaro as the new Mera.
It’s a shame that Mera’s role is getting cut down because of all this. She’s such a cool character.
It really would serve in their best interests if they just went ahead and recast her and reshoot what little scenes she has left.
My guess would be that it is cheaper to either pare down or eliminate all scenes with Mera than recast the role and reshoot her scenes.Mera is an awesome character. Amber Heard did okay in the role, I even liked her in it, but she can easily be recast and most people wi gladly accept that and even be more joyful for Aquaman 2.
What's interesting, is Jason Momoa had a hand in writing the script... and he also started following JD on Instagram.
-It does sound like Momoa and Wan fought her to keep her in the film, but who knows. Also, the lady who was speaking during the trial today bits of the movie lol. I wonder if they will change anything now.

WB is in something of a bind. Heard’s current notoriety could indeed affect Aquaman 2’s box office success. But announcing that she’s been fired and won’t appear in a hypothetical Aquaman 3 might be an even worse PR move.
