The Fortress of Solitude: The Superman Lounge

Scruff or no scuff.

That is the question.
I feel like Clark can start the day clean shaven and after/during a long day of being Supes he can rock a 5 O'clock shadow.

I like a bit of a mixture like that.

What’s your favourite alternate universe look for Superman? Because I really love his death metal look

:D That would be scary lol. I’ve never seen this. What era is it from?

They used a white stripes song or at least a Jack White tune in The Flash and it works so well as a cool rock tune to have action to. Saying this because I was hoping for some white stripes in legacy.

I could see Dolly Parton being slipped in there. Like pa Kent would be listening to her and that’s why he’s so chilled and nice.

and then bam heart attack :spirit:

I have some ideas rattling around in my head, and I have nowhere else to put then so here we go. Apologies in advance they are rough and probably read like an AI wrote it lol.
I'm my mind I can imagine a series of scenes that involve Clark and his relationship to pa Kent. David Corenswet is Clark/Superman and Brendan Fraser is my Jonathan Kent. The idea comes from the the potential of Jonathan Kent being around longer than just the beginning of the movie. In my version if the story Jonathan Kent would die at the end of the movie (not in a tornado/spoilers).

Now, all of this may end up sounding cliche but to me if done right it would really hammer home supermans altruism and the reality that he can't save everyone.

I'm imagining a scene early in the movie, where Clark is home visiting his parents and Johnathan can be seen tending to the farm. By the end of the scene Clark prepares to leave and hugs his parents. While hugging pa Clark raises mild concern about him as He seems a bit exhausted, Johnathan jokingly brushes it off as him getting old. Here we see Clark use his super hearing on pa and says he'll always be listening for the rhythm of their heart beats no matter where he is in the world. Jonathan replies "you can't hear THAT far...Can you?", Clark just smiles and gives a playful wink as he leaves.

Fast forward to the end of the movie where Superman is being badly beaten for seemingly the first time. The Kents watch in terror as they watch their Son be toppled. The stress is too much for Johnathan and he has a heart attack.

Clark hears Johnathan heart beat fading, and is re energized to fight hard enough to escape into the atmosphere as he absorbs sunlight he listens as Jonathan flatlines. The agony can be seen on his face as he knows he must finish his fight for the sake of metropolis. The rest plays out with Superman Victorious and Johnathan Kents passing.

Know that we have casting out of the way I am (always was) now interested in costumes and the visual aspect of the film.

All hail Barbie for pushing cinematic standards higher for all films. :D

I’m not too worried about his jaw but I think it would be cool to keep his chest hairy. All superheroes have to have waxed chests now and I think Superman should be allowed to have a hairy chest otherwise he’s superboy

Geez, just got done watching All-Star Superman. What a mess, the comic is great but this animation was so crammed and nothing felt earned. Why bother animating it if you arent going to do it justice.

Has birthright been adapted yet?

Definitely clean shaven imo

Stubble works better for an older Supes I think

Depends on the actor as well IMO. Point being, stubble suits Hoechlin more than it does Corenswet.

I think for a younger fresh Supes, clean shaven would be a better look and then we can have Stubbleman later.

Happy 4th to my fellow 'Murricans and all who celebrate the holiday! Enjoy and be safe!

Bed bound again due to gout and I am bored, does anyone wanna play along with this "game"

The idea is to make a solo film for any comic book character but using the "template" of another film for example.

Joker - King of Comedy
TDK - Heat
The Batman - Seven

I have
Superman - Forest Gump
Bruce Wayne - Die Hard 3
Shazam - B!G (Terry Crews as Shazam!)
Peter Parker and The Oscorp Industries - Willy Wonka (this was kinda cheap but I want to think of something)

Oh what a good idea! Ok here we go…

superman - Minari
Wonder Woman - Xena
Aquaman - Point Break
Green Lantern - Stormship Troopers
Flash - back to the future

Title: Aquaman: Ocean Break

In "Aquaman: Ocean Break," we reimagine the classic film "Point Break" with an underwater twist, taking the action and adventure beneath the waves of the vast ocean. The story follows Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman, a half-Atlantean, half-human hero who must confront a group of adrenaline-fueled aquatic extremists led by the enigmatic Ormson.

Plot Overview:

Arthur Curry, a powerful Atlantean with the ability to communicate and control sea life, lives a dual life as the protector of both the ocean and the surface world. However, he feels conflicted about his heritage and the responsibilities that come with being the true heir to the Atlantean throne.

In an attempt to unite the surface and the ocean, Arthur discovers a radical group of thrill-seeking underwater extremists called the "Deep Wave Riders." The Deep Wave Riders, led by the charismatic and cunning Ormson, are skilled surfers who believe in living life to the extreme and reject the authority of the Atlantean monarchy. Instead, they seek a new era of oceanic freedom.

As Arthur investigates the group, he becomes drawn to their way of life and freedom of spirit. Their stunts and thrill-seeking activities remind him of the carefree days of his youth, and he begins to question the rigid rules imposed by Atlantis.

Amidst this internal conflict, Arthur's ally and friend, Mera, warns him about the danger posed by the Deep Wave Riders. She believes they are planning a series of grand-scale attacks on coastal cities, aiming to disrupt the balance between the surface and the ocean world.

As Aquaman, Arthur tries to infiltrate the group undercover to understand their motives better and dissuade them from their destructive path. During this mission, he meets Serafina, a passionate and spirited member of the Deep Wave Riders, who becomes curious about Arthur's true identity.

Serafina introduces Arthur to the group's ideology, claiming that they seek only to break free from the oppression of Atlantis and embrace the ocean's untamed power. But as Arthur spends more time with the Deep Wave Riders, he witnesses the darker side of their extremism and their willingness to cause collateral damage.

When the Deep Wave Riders initiate their plan to strike a coastal city, Arthur must make a difficult choice. He can either embrace the freedom they represent, rejecting the confines of his Atlantean heritage, or stand true to his duty as Aquaman, protecting both the ocean and the surface world.

As the film reaches its climax, Arthur confronts Ormson, revealing his true identity as Aquaman. A thrilling underwater showdown ensues, showcasing Aquaman's control over sea creatures and his mastery of the ocean's powers. In the end, Arthur manages to stop the Deep Wave Riders' attack, but not without consequences, as he loses Serafina in the process.

Through this action-packed adventure, "Aquaman: Ocean Break" explores themes of identity, duty, and the balance between freedom and responsibility. It showcases Aquaman's struggle to find his place in the world, torn between the two halves of his existence - Atlantean royalty and his human heritage. The film ultimately presents a visually stunning and emotionally charged exploration of what it truly means to be the hero of the seas. [/spoilers]
