Everyone’s favorite scoundrel Lando Calrissian will return in a brand-new event series for Disney+. Justin Simien, creator of the critically-acclaimed Dear White People and a huge Star Wars fan, is developing the story.

Hopefully this show serves uses both Donald Glover and Billy Dee. Perhaps Billy Dee goes on one final adventure relating to something from his youth so there’s transitions of past & present throughout the series

And total wishful thinking, have the scenes in the present take place right before the events of TFA and maybe even have Harrison Ford make an appearance. But that’s very unlikely

Looking forward to this and will be great to get Donald Glover back.

Would certainly be great if Billy Dee Williams could be incorporated in some way.

this and the release dates for Marvel series hyped me the most yesterday

I'm thinking everything is live action that wasn't specifically said to be animated. This was revealing things to investors, and telling them they're making a Lando Calrissean and neglecting to mention that it's animated seems...ill-advised.

hasn’t it been leaked yet, what the shown footage was about? I mean not the footage itself, but a description

The way that bit at the end of ROS is, frankly, so unnaturally jammed in there with Lando offering a trip through the galaxy to that ex-female Imperial to find her roots or whatever... Feels like a set up for this.

As others have already put out there, a series that toggles between Williams in the "present" and Glover in the "past" is a great angle.

Honestly, out of all the Disney Star Wars shows, I just can't help but think this one is going to attract the least amount of viewers, but we'll see...

I'll admit this is the one I'm personally the least excited about, but who knows how any of these shows might surprise us. People sure didn't expect much from that show with the weird "not-quite-Boba-Fett" guy. :D

Childish Gambino is kinda big. Also it’s a series on a streaming platform. People don’t have to pay extra and just stop by.

This could be a lot of fun. Double points if you get Glover and Williams back. The former carrying the show and the latter narrating the story.

You get Glover back, throw in some Billy Dee as a framing device, there’s no way in hell this thing doesn’t put asses in the seats.

Yep, give us a bit of Millennium Falcon action, try and get Alden back as Han and possible even Ford as older Han, and this one shoots right up the anticipation list.

At this point almost any version is gonna pale to this idea.

I'm not a big "listen to the fans" type but in this case... They got it right. Pay Billy Dee and Glover their price and get it done. It checks off too many boxes not to work as a solid basis for a series.

Hope we’ll here some news about this soon

I liked Alden as Han, I hope we’ll see him again...we even got Hayden back
I was fine with him and Glover. Hope we see them both together in more Star Wars media.

I wouldn’t be upset if we never see Alden as Han again. The only interesting parts of Solo were Maul and Lando
