Just because you feel he was misused doesn't make it so. being a fan of something doesn't give you ownership. Weldon, Feige and Marvel were fine with how he was used, so the fact that you feel his ability to be a great villain, doesn't really mean much.
Well, of course we don't have a say in it and we can't change what was put to film, but that doesn't mean we can't disagree with Whedon's decision, does it? Some of the people who worked on Fantfourstick thought these characters were used well, that doesn't mean that the fact that so many disagreed "doesn't really mean much".
