Not really unexpected. That's the way of the game in Hollywood. No matter your past credentials, in this business you're only as valuable and good as your last product.

So, what you're basically implying is that if Affleck makes one bad movie (you know, it's not like well known great directors have ever made a bad movie or anything), his career will be jeopardized and studios will shun him?

Wasn't talking about on how it goes in Hollywood (and I'm pretty sure you're gravely misunderstanding how things in Hollywood work, this movie won't wreck his career unless it's one of the worst films of all time), but how some DCEU fans would react if the film was truly bad. But please, don't let me stop you from your desire to see Affleck crash and burn.
