Captain America: Brave New World - News & Speculation Thread

Probably cause Ross's idea of the Avengers is the Thunderbolts.

Val will found Thunderbolts not Ross

Sam only has affinity and friendship with Rhody Wanda Vision Antman

Among formers members: Hulk is busy and Thor/Carol are off earth. Clint is retired, Wanda is believed to be dead, Vision is somewhere. Remain Rhody Spidey and Antman
Among allies : Bucky, Strange (seems to be busy), Valkyrie, Wong, Shuri
Among new characters: Exept Kamala, Kate, SheHulk, Avengers are unaware of Daredevil, Moon Knight, Echo, Blade

Love the first look of Ford as Ross

You're missing my point. I'm just saying Ross's idea of the perfect Avengers team is closer to the Thunderbolts (i.e. a government controlled team), than the actual Avengers. Which is why Sam would be against something like that.

I wish he did keep the moustache so he looked more like General Ross than Harrison Ford.

I wonder when they will release the first trailer?

July might be too early but I can't think of any big Disney films coming out in Q4 of 2024.

It would've been funny if Marvel got Sam Elliot back as General Ross to replace William Hurt instead of Harrison Ford. It would be as if he reverted to an earlier version of him in film. He certainly wouldn't have shaved his moustache.

There are some images online of toy designs for
Torres as Falcon, Ruth (Sabra), Diamondback, and Red Hulk.

Labor Day weekend would be a good time, I'd say. Maybe drop some posters or official images shortly before then.

Labor Day in America is the end of August?

If Deadpool/Wolverine performs really well, they should attach a trailer of Brave New World. It is Disney's biggest movie for this year. 2nd is Moana 2 which has a different target audience than Brave New World.

Labor Day is the first Monday in September.

Is this movie going to ignore Secret Invasion or acknowledge it? What about the fact that Sam Wilson interacted with Rhodey in episode 1 of Falcon and the Winter Soldier? Or what about how the previous president launched a war on any aliens?

Is it better to pretend none of Secret Invasion happened? That way that was really Rhodey in episode 1 and there isn't any explaining to do about Ross's predecessor. Secret Invasion could just be set on an alternate earth.

Probably won't get one until September/ October. Maybe Venom 3 is where we see it. July or August is a bit early considering it's a February movie

Meh Falcon 2.0 looks like a downgraded version of the Vulture. Sam new suit is trying too hard to be the stealth suit from the Winter Soldier. This just screams desperation .
I don't mind Sam's suit so much but that was my thought exactly about the new Falcon. The color scheme makes it blatantly obvious.

So I've seen an alleged
blurry concept art for red hulk, and it looks clumsy, chubby, and uh... simpleminded. I love him.

Apparently Cap will be wearing a high tech helmet...?

I hope it's just for a few scenes cause I really don't like the idea.

Acting like Secret Invasion was in another reality is a good excuse.

However by the time Secret Wars is going to come out, there would have been about 14 shows (including Wonder Man and Vision Quest), and only the super fans would really pay attention to the continuity. The shows are also much easier to ignore in the grand scheme of things compare to the movies.

Even if Armor Wars the movie, eventually comes out. As long as the movie is good, I don't think Secret Invasion would matter anyway.
