Because it was never about the video itself and more about who released the video. Switch Gal with someone like Zendaya and I can assure you that the Twitter crowd wouldn't even care about that video let alone carry on about it 2 years later. Gal apologizing was stupid because it just feeds the narrative that she committed some heinous act that merits this kind of hate. Any sane person would have forgotten about that video a week after its release.
