Joel Schumacher Eyeing Neil Gaiman's Sandman

An anime (or even American animation) Sandman is going to appeal to the exact same crowd of people that the book appeals to. Even if it gets a wide release in theaters, people who see the trailers are just gonna think of it as some cartoon.

Not necessarily. If it went out on Adult Swim or as an HBO series, I think it would reach a large enough demographic while maintaining its integrity. Still, I really want to see Alan Rickman as Morpheus. That would just be too cool. Let's see how Watchmen goes.

Watchmen looks impressive from the interviews and screenshots I've seen. I really hope it succeeds.
