Lady Sif Casting Thread (Jaimie Alexander)

She was good as were all the three warriors. Volstagg was hilarious. I just wished they could have shown them being badasses the way they showed Thor.

Almost makes me wish they would have saved her for Wonder Woman in a Justice League movie.

If they are truly going to make a JL movie, I won't rule her out as a possible candidate to play WW. Actors like Ryan Reynolds and Chris Evans have played more than one superheroes, so if Jaimi Alexander is both Sif and WW I don't think it'll be a problem.

Yeah, I guess you have a point. I'm just tired of those two being cast in everything lol. Man, I bet at one point they were considered to play all the avengers in the Avengers movie lol.

Well, neither one of them can control the elements of the storm so that's not a fair comparison.

Yea, but they are supposedly gods or aliens with super strength far above humans are and great warriors. In the frost giant scene they were handling business up until Fandral got hurt and were outnumbered.

They were just getting owned by the iron giant. If it was that powerful why not just make more of them to stand guard around Asgard? Maybe that is the one plot whole of the movie...or not.

She was good. Too bad she didn't kick as much ass in it but, hey, the movie was about Thor and I went to see it because of Thor and I was curious about how it was going to play out. The film was great and I enjoyed it. I just read her backstory... especially with her relationship to Thor and how Jane is mixed up into it all... I dunno, its weird. Probably cause I've never read any of the Thor comics, but not to say I haven't heard of Thor. Hell, I grew up watching the cartoon shows.

No, it's weird even if you have read the comics. Especially the part where Jane and Sif's souls shared the same body.

The Destroyer was kind of a major undertaking in the comics. It was built specifically to battle the Celestials, cosmic-level gods even more powerful than Odin. It's not really feasible to build a whole army of them in the comics--nor, presumably, in the movie.

I do agree the non-Thor gods could've done a bit better, though. They didn't manage to do anything against the Destroyer, and then Thor just clobbered it with ease. Makes the other gods look kind of pathetic compared to Thor.

But I thought they did well enough against the frost giants. They took out a lot of them before Fandral got wounded and Loki got them to retreat.

For anyone interested. The Walmart in MY area has the Movie Rest Stop Starring the lovely Jamie Alexander for 5 bucks! :D

She's the STAR of the film lol.
LOVE the beginning....kind of Soft porn. :D

Well yeah but I saw it before production on Thor started I guess. Then I somehow missed it on her IMDB profile. Oh well.

For 5 bucks I picked it up. Couldn't be avoided, I normally don't pick up horror flicks. lol

Just started watching it. :) lols.

So... I read that she'd like to do Lara Croft. I can see that and also as Wonder Woman but she doesn't want to do her.

She's so pretty :O:hrt:

Pretty much your average Horror film DOD.

I think she looks like she could pass as X-23.

I reckon you could get that down to $2. :woot:

What a sick movie but it was good. There were moments where I had to look away. About done watching The other side.

Actually Thor shouldn't have been able to take it out so easily.

Mjolnir is the difference maker here though. None of the other Asgardians besides Odin have an artifact weapon as powerful. Give Thor a "Standard" Asgardian weapon and he would fare similar to the rest if a little better.

Yeah, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. The warriors did hold their own against the giants, but I just wanted to see them more badass. They were funnier than they were dangerous in my opinion.

Yeah, I thought it wasn't really a challenge after he got the hammer. They could have drawn it out a little more, but I guess the fight scene with Loki was the real climax they were focusing on. Filmmakers need to understand that making a longer film is okay when the action calls for it. Well, hopefully in the DVD.

I think he'd still fare much better than them, but he would fare much worse than he did with Mjolnir.
