LOKI General Discussion Thread

some very crazy rumors are spinning around. Different sources are reporting that
Kang has the Squadron Supreme at his control and that Henry Cavil will be Hyperion
Don’t believe it yet….but we had crazier rumors turning out to be true

If that proved true

I say go full hog. Ryan Reynolds as Doctor Spectrum, rest of the DCEU cast sans Ezra for their Marvel ripoff. Reynolds can do it and still be Deadpool lol

Hmm..

I guess maybe they'd consider who they can get..

Hyperion - Henry Cavill
Night Hawk - I can't really see Affleck or Pattinson doing it right now. Bale and Keaton are already in the MCU. Maybe a female Nighthawk played by someone like Leslie Grace? (Or could also be Javicia Leslie or Ruby Rose).
Whizzer/Blur - Grant Gustin (or Keiynan Lonsdale)
Power Princess/Warrior Woman - Gal Gadot (or Adrianne Palicki?)
Doctor Spectrum - Would have to be Ryan Reynolds I guess... (or maybe Matthew Settle or David Ramsey)
Amphibian - Jason Momoa (or Alan Ritchson)
Skymax - Harry Lennix or David Harewood
Black Archer - Stephen Amell
Blue Eagle - Aldis Hodge (or Falk Hentschel)
Skylark - Jurnee Smollett (or Katie Cassidy or Juliana Harkavy or Alaina Huffman or Rachel Skarsten)
Tom Thumb - Brandon Routh
Arcanna - Serinda Swan
Nuke - Robbie Amell or Franz Drameh

Some Justice League characters don't have an equivalent on the Squadron but do elsewhere in Marvel, which could be used:

Deathlok - Ray Fisher (or Joivan Wade)
Miracle Man - Zachary Levi
Strontian - Sasha Calle or Melissa Benoist (or Laura Vandervoort)
Scarlet Scarab - Xolo Maridueña
Norn - Pierce Brosnan

Filming reportedly wrapped. Release in June looks good, since Echo reportedly getting delayed (which is ok, since Loki is what I‘m excited more)

Unused concept art from season 1 show a bunch of timetravel scenarios we never got.
We already know they reused the 1970s movie theatre concept for season 2 from set photos, so I hope they can reuse some more. In the end for season 1 to work everything had to originate from the sacred timeline and either be in an apocalypse or be small enough changes for the TVA to be able to easily wipe it. Now that that's all blown up, we can get more involved along the timeline and visit more disparate timelines. And it can still be done to show off more Kang. We can have Loki visiting ancient Egypt and finding Rama-Tut on the throne, or discover a small town in early 1900s Wisconsin having become a steampunk retrofuturist enterprise with technology far beyond its time under leadership of Victor Timely. We can meddle more in history and show more "What If" realities. I hope we get the chance for something like that.

Rama Tut in season 2 would be awesome

It has been revealed that Ke Hey Quan will be playing a version of
Orobourous. A minor character who in the comics is a TVA judge, but here will be a TVA tech specialist instead. Not super surprising or anything, but it does seem to confirm we probably won't be seeing Owen Wilson as multiple clones/variants working for the TVA like in the comics, since Orobourous there is a clone from the same template as Mobius.

Season 2 looks close…

So....

I'm assuming the second post-credits scene in Quantumania is lifted directly from Loki S2 featuring Kang as Victor Timely.

Well that and it's part of the delays Feige was talking about. He did say the output was going to slow down, so it makes sense things are getting spread out.

It’s going to be interesting seeing Marvel and Star Wars spread out their content and how that affects Disney’s subscriber numbers which could explain why they’re finally merging libraries with Hulu. That said, I’m okay with Loki being pushed if it means the special effects teams have more time to work. Echo on the other hand gives me the impression that it’s probably pretty bad and they just want to dump it all at once so people don’t complain about the show’s likely pacing issues.

Teaser trailer hopefully this weekend

This was probably the worst SDCC…and this includes 2020

I need Marvel to decide what shows are actual shows and what are miniseries. Pick one or the other.

I was afraid this would get pushed back. Glad to see my October will be fun. :)

Hope this will make Marvel great again

I agree but in Loki's defense, this and What If we're the only shows that were confirmed to be getting multiple seasons before any of the Disney plus shows came out.
