Would be really out there and yet around 2000 for 19-21 year old Peter could work.

Not sure if a studio would allow a Death of Gwen movie without it also having Mary Jane, Fincher could consider having her also as too safe and the studio probably consider one not having her way too risky, Fincher could probably accept having her and make it work that she wouldn't seem as obvious successor.

Chameleon : Daniel Craig

Hard to see most actors, let alone stars, wanting to play the Chameleon but I can see Daniel Craig (though probably more pre- than post-Bond) agreeing to from liking the challenge.

I think pretty much any Fantastic Four movie would have gotten at least 30% better reviews and 20, 25% more money if it had come out before The Incredibles did ...
