My main issue with MCU Spidey is that he feels more like 'Iron Man's Sidekick: Spider-Boy' rather than his own hero.
And okay, yes he's young and he needs to be somewhat connected to the rest of the MCU, but I just don't really find him to be all that fun. The charm of Peter Parker is that everything goes wrong for him (being bullied, being late, not enough money, gets yelled at his job etc) despite trying his best, and even with all that, he's still a genuinely great guy.
It might sound harsh, but I don't think the MCU movies go hard enough on Peter. Even his 'bully' is hardly bully material, more like snarky at best. And he's always tied or connected to Iron Man in some way, and sure, I dig the dynamic between the two characters, but there comes a time when it becomes annoying, especially when they don't do it right.
I'm rambling at this point, so I'm gonna stop, because I have a gazillion things I could nitpick.
MCU Spidey is fine but I wish they had done him differently.
Holland is a great actor.
