Space and Astronomy Megathread (MERGED) - Part 1

Ya know.....I've never been a flat earther, but the moon and earth both look kinda flat in that picture. Either that or there's a couple of holes poked in a big black blanket and there's some stuff behind it. The only problem I'm having with this is if the earth and moon are really flat and they are side to side, why can I see the flat part of the moon at night? IMMA work that one out and get back to you soon.

Saturn won't look the same without the rings. :(
 
What cosmology documentaries, video essays, and channels are you interested in?

I’ve seen several of the PBS/Matt O’Dowd videos. But I sometimes find the depth of detail to be a little too advanced (at least for me). :O This is kinda surprising, since stuff from PBS is usually aimed at a general audience. Whereas, videos from (say) Sean Carroll, Brian Greene or Brian Cox seem more accessible.
