My friend who is a film critic has just seen this movie, here in france the movie drop wednesday mornin

he told me this

-this movie will shook the marvel fans because finally Marvel had the balls to do what people were thinkin they were afraid to do
-There will be consequences,huge consequences
-Thanos is extremely brutal,a particular scene in the first act make people incomfortable in the room, cause they werent excepted it ,cause its a Disney Movie , thanos is vicious, the baddest vilain,he's not laughin, he humiliating them, he crush them & drop quotables who will become like a meme a classic one
-the overall CGI is great for some (thanos, iron man, hulk) and bad at some point (iron spider was laughlable.
& the stunt double are abvious at some point specially scarlet JO & evans, the editing was sometimes a bit off & the shaky camera was problematic during some fight sequence
he also complained about the guardians of the galaxy, their presence totally destroyed the tone off the movie(star lord-rocket specially)

his favorite moment is definitely the scene between spiderman & RDJ , beautifully written, extremely intense & emotional
i did not ask him about huge spoilers , like who goin to die or if thanos end up with all infinity stones but he did told me ,the most beloved fans need to prepare themselves, cause what marvel did, in a term of storytellin is somethin no one could of ever imagine

im more a dc fan but im exited for this one,

You got me at "The Memes" :sly: :woot:

Yeah one of the most expected things that comes out of this movie is memes. Might even reach the level of SW Prequels ones.

I expect Bane level memes from Thanos. He is a big guy, after all.

Should go into Odin Sleep Wednesday so Thursday can come faster.

The Russos talk about Captain Marvel and her power level.

"Well for us, with super powerful characters, it's always about the flaw in the character, how is the character human? How is the character accessible?" Joe Russo said. "I have a hard time with comic book characters, I did as a child, that were too powerful because I never feared for them, I never felt like I could relate to them. I think that's why traditionally Batman is the most popular DC comic character, he's human. So, it's important for us when we're working with uber-powerful characters, to understand their vulnerability on a psychological level."

Anthony Russo chimed in to add on to that point. "And that's of course, and then we follow, the way we challenge a character like that is taking them through scenarios that make things more complicated on that vulnerability," he said. "And challenge that vulnerability."

"Or can we weaken them in some way in which they have to overcome that weakness to succeed," Joe Russo concluded.

Originally, signs pointed to Captain Marvel making her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Avengers: Infinity War. While on set of the ensemble film, ComicBook.com was told by Joe Russo that she was "in the movie." However, with Avengers: Infinity War and its Untitled Avengers 4 sequel having filmed back to back, there may have been a bit of confusing. At San Diego Comic Con in July of 2017, Joe Russo told ComicBook.com, "[Captain Marvel is] not in Avengers 3."

Either way, bringing the character to life posed its challenges to for the Avengers movies, as the films screenwriters were ready to admit.

"I mean, we were somewhat at sea a little bit in that... not at sea in a bad way, but her movie had not been written yet," Christopher Markus said. "And so you want it to all tie together. You don't wanna write a Captain Marvel that bears no resemblance to one who has her own movie coming out."

The writers wanted to be sure she was not "so vague," as Markus put it, that she "would not register" in her standalone film, McFeely points out.

"So we had to make a decision, in our movie she is going to be this, and she's going to serve this function, and she'll sound like this," McFeely said. "And hopefully that will make sense with what the Marvel team wants to do."

There is good news the writers will share with comic fans, however. "We took some cues from the comics," Markus said. "She is military, and there's a certain authority that comes with that."

Taking place 30 years prior to Avengers: Infinity War, Captain Marvel will be an origin story for the character -- meaning she was always going to be quite different between the appearances. Still, the writers were unaware of such a fact while crafting their version. "Regardless of what her movie was gonna be, and again we didn't know what it was at the time, we knew that she'd probably would be fully formed by the this time she got to our movie, and given what that means for her, we figured she'd be pretty confident," McFeely said. "That's a person with a lot of power, more powerful than anybody in the room, right? So, what does that mean compared to the other characters. There was some delight to that."

If the part about the Guardians tone ruining the movie is true I will simply not be happy. I did not enjoy GOTG Vol. 2 one bit and I hoped that in this movie they would be more like Guardians from the first movie.

I dunno WHAT happened with Vol. 2 but I know that James Gunn was overseeing the Guardians scenes in IW and to be honest it frightens me.

Basically they need to power nerf or give themna mental weakness.

I hope Teen Groot has at least one cool moment. Don't just have him be the lazy teen playing his game. Baby Groot had a few cool moments and wasn't over used. Old Groot had some really good moments.

So, Conrad's little Eternals scoop panned out after all despite Umberto's claims to the contrary. Interesting.

That won't work -- he hears all that is going on around him while in Odinsleep. So people chitchatting about the spoilers while you unable to move is worse than being able to leave the room if you weren't in the Odinsleep.

Why are some quoting and talking about a post about potential spoilers? This isn't the thread for that.

This is true, Bucky cryo freeze it is then.

I have never been more hyped for a movie in my life. I honestly think I may have to just stay home for the next few days and turn my phone off just to avoid spoilers till I see this thing on Thursday night. There has been so much speculation on whats going to unfold but I honestly think that none of us are really prepared for what will actually happen in this film. These next 3 days are going to go by sooo SLOW!

Yes indeed, the spoiler danger evacuation has begun.
Godspeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed

Wonder if Ms. Marvel will be an Eternal since the Inhumans tanked.

I liked GOTG 2 a lot and think it has the most heart of the MCU, but the humor was too forced at times and it already feels forced in IW. Peter lowering his voice to sound like Thor is just dumb. What grown man does **** like that? It just makes Peter look like a child. And the bit on Titan when he says he should make the plan doesnt land properly. When the GOTG are on their own the dynamic works better, but it seems too goofy and slapstick now that they are with the rest of the MCU characters fighting Thanos.

LOL, they disabled the comments on that video. They really are serious about not wanting this movie to get spoiled.

Dunno why, but the Russos always make the BP suit look so beautiful

Peter was abducted by pirates from earth as a child, at what point did he learn to speak like a mature earth adult?
