I feel that with Lex making metropolis not only his headquarters, but his home, his ego wouldn't allow metropolis to be anything but the best, biggest, and safest city in America.
So yes, I feel it SHOULD look somewhat futuristic.
Lots of green, lots of drones flying around, lots of skywalks, etc.

I want it to look like a real extra-modern city, just a little nicer than our cities tend to look. Not like, Space Age modern lol.

Maybe it’s more of a Batman/Gotham thing, but this image has me wanting to see blimps flying overheard in Metropolis.

It kinda bums me out but do y'all think the suit release image was also true look at Metropolis City?! That didn't look retro future or sky bridges and blimps.

I wasn't expecting an ultra-stylized city either way.

I think it will be like The Batman's Gotham, unique but still very much a "real life city".

Ah well early days. I suppose they can’t go too over the top with it or the film lacks grounding.

They still might chuck in the odd golden age icon here and there later

For me if they get Metropolis to look like downtown Los Angeles, New York City/Manhattan or get it to look like downtown Toronto specifically in terms of aesthetic look then I'm all for it
