The Return of the DC Animated Showcase for 2007/08

Hold on guys. This is a fan fic. I'm just imagining how a series would work on network and cable television, that's all. Calm down. Knowing how the CW works, they would never do a DC Animated Showcase series unless they had to.

good!!! i KNEW it was too bogus 2 b true!

I blame the CW for wimping out on Saturday morning television, but 4kids may split the programming into two separate blocks.

Attention Hypesters:

225px-BlueBeetle03.png

Main Voice Cast:

Ted Kord/Blue Beetle: Patrick Warburton
Jamie Reyes/Silver Scarab/Blue Beetle II: Johnny Yong Bosch
Maxwell Lord: Tim Matheson

Episode One: The Beetle, The Spider and The Fly

Blue Beetle is such an interesting character, that I'm not going to have an origin episode until the multi-episode "52" showcase in "Brave and the Bold." Meanwhile, the action starts off as Ted Kord is going to a concert at the Walker-Ritmanis Concert Hall featuring the insect-themed girl band the Fly Girls, where he finds himself enamored with the group's hard-rocking guitarist, Kelly "Silken Spider" Webster* (Cerina Vincent). But on their first date together, Ted and Kelly find themselves not only the targets of Kelly's jealous friend and fellow band member, Jacqueline "Dragon Fly" Kirby (Melody Perkins), but Blue Beetle and all three Fly Girls are targets of Batman villainess Poison Ivy (Diane Pershing) and the Black Rose Gang, who seeking revenge on the girls for upstaging the floral villainess a while back! Can Blue Beetle clip Poison Ivy's botanical butt, and can the Fly Girls settle the score with the Black Roses in one big battle of the girl groups inside the Flora Lounge? Plus, what happens when Ted's pet beetle, Scarab, meets Kelly's pet spider, Spinner, and falls in love? And, will this Blue Beetle be able to score with this Web Woman? You'll just gonna have to find out in this episode!

Episode Two: Blue Beetle on Zombie Island

Scooby Doo's bespectacled friend, Velma Dinkley (Mindy Cohn), makes her inaugural DC Animated Universe debut in this Blue Beetle episode where she is now the head of Coolsville's Crime Scene Investigation Unit. When Superman villain Lex Luthor (Clancy Brown) and LexCorp end up acquiring the mysterious Zombie Island amusement park and metahuman research lab, strange and very dangerous experiments start coming to life, and several scientists and park patrons end up missing! Now, CSI Velma Dinkley must enlist the help of Ted Kord, who is visiting a friend in Coolsville, to get to the bottom of this mystery! But, what Velma and the Beetle are about to find out may cost them their lives! Plus, Blue Beetle is invited to a Mystery Inc. reunion where Velma is reunited with her old friends (including Scooby Doo) in this crossover adventure!

Episode Three: Blue and Gold, Fire and Ice

Booster Gold (Tom Everett Scott) guest stars in this episode where Blue Beetle helps the erstwhile hero deal with a group of psychotic clowns called the Madmen in Metropolis. But, the real action happens later on, when Booster sets Beetle up with models Beatriz DaCosta (Maria Canals) and Tora Olafsdotter (Gina Gershon), the heroines known as Fire and Ice, on a double-date where everything goes completely wrong, from a heated battle with Volcana (Peri Gilpin) and Killer Frost (Jennifer Hale), to a double-bill concert at Robinson Park featuring both the Hex Girls and Fly Girls that has Beetle's new girlfriend Silken Spider and the Hex Girls' Sally McKnight (Hale in a dual role) looking to take on the two female Justice League members in a fight over Ted Kord! All this, plus Maxwell Lord wants to sign both the Hex and Fly Girls to a recording contract with his new L-Ron record label, all in this hilarious episode!

Episode Four: Night of the Hooded Claw

Kord Omniversal is about to sponsor the Wacky Races 500 in Seaboard City, where modified cartoon-themed racing vehicles compete to win $250,000 in cash. And, Blue Beetle is about to introduce his new Beetlemobile at the race! But, when several racing vehicles are sabotaged and their drivers injured, Ted finds himself teaming up with a mysterious female hero named the Hooded Claw (Heather Locklear) to solve the case! And, when Blue Beetle finally unmasks her, he gets the shock of his life, as it is none other than the legendary stunt driver Penelope Pitstop, who is wearing her new black-and-pink bodysuit, racing goggles, black boots, cape and hat in honor of her deceased uncle, the original Hooded Claw (the late Paul Lynde in flashbacks from the animated "Perils of Penelope Pitstop" series), who was murdered by Maxwell Lord fifteen years ago in a deal gone bad! And, she's here to avenge his death, despite his cruel treatment of her in the past, in this tribute to the classic Hanna-Barbera Wacky Races series.

Episode Five: Jamie

Three generations of the legendary Blue Beetle are featured in this episode when Ted gets a visit from his uncle, Dan Garrett (Paul Eiding), the very first Blue Beetle, who wants him to meet a very special young man named Jamie Reyes. But the real action happens when Jamie finds a new Omnitrix-like device called the Scarab Medallion. And, when he happens upon wearing it, it transforms him into a silver armored version of the Blue Beetle called the Silver Scarab, and he's about to face his greatest test when he teams with the Beetle against members of the 1000 in this generation-spanning adventure!

Next: Booster Gold

*Note: The DC Universe version of Kelly Webster, Silken Spider, is an updated tribute to the Filmation character of Web Woman, for whom they share the same civilian alter ego.

Kenny.

Main Voice Cast:

Michael Jon Carter/Booster Gold: Tom Everett Scott
Michelle Joan Carter/Goldstar: Melissa Joan Hart
Voice of Skeets: Billy West

Episode One: Escape From the 25th Century

In this premiere episode, let me introduce you to a hapless blonde jock by the name of Michael Jon Carter. All-around football stud, media celebrity and good guy. That is, until he got caught in a betting scandal involving his own team! Now as a night watchman in Metropolis, he discovers a mysterious superhero costume and various other weapons and gadgets, which he uses to escape to the 21st century! Say hello to Booster Gold, the superhero from the future, in this episode!

Episode Two: Goldstar, the Teen Angel from the Future!

Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels guest star in this Booster Gold episode where Booster, strangely enough, helps the rock quartet deal with the Royal Flush Gang in Gotham City! And Cavey's (Frank Welker) confrontation with the futuristic hero and the robot Skeets is nothing compared to the shock that Brenda (Countess Vaughn), Dee Dee (Sabrina Bryant) and Taffy (Elizabeth "E.G." Daily) are about to get when Booster's little sister, Michelle, arrives in the 21st century, five days after big brother Michael and calling herself Goldstar! Now, the Teen Angels, having witnessed Michelle's drum-playing and singing abilities, want her to become their newest fourth Teen Angel! But, there's a problem: Could one of the Teen Angels be one of the Carters' ancestors? And what's this got to do with an unfortunate series of events involving Goldstar that will change the lives of both Booster Gold and the Teen Angels forever? The past and the future are about to collide in an adventure featuring one Hanna Barbera superhero from the past, Two DC Comics superheroes from the future, and three angelic rocker chicks! Yeah, baby, yeah!!!

Episode Three: The Greatest Story Never Told - Director's Cut

An episode from Justice League Unlimited makes its debut in Booster Gold's own series, as BG's voice actor, Tom Everett Scott, narrates the story of Booster Gold's adventures as a hero on crowd control, including helping a pregnant woman deliver her baby, and falling in love with a scientist who mistakes him for Green Lantern, all while helping her cure a fellow scientist who just became a living black hole! Plus, Scott steps into the cartoon series to interview Booster Gold himself in this special episode!

Episode Four: An Adventure Worth its Weight in Gold

Booster Gold finds himself in an unusual situation when he witnesses a beautiful young reporter on the run from the murderous crimelord Stephen Mandragora (Glenn Shadix) after she witnesses the death of her husband at the giant's hands! The reporter: none other than the legendary Goldie Gold (Andrea Taylor). The husband: none other than her old cameraman Action Jack! And now, Booster Gold and Goldie Gold must join forces to help her avenge her husband's death! But, can our golden duo be able to knock down the albino juggernaut without getting killed themselves? Man, even Joseph Ruby and Kenneth Spears would be proud of this storyline!

Episode Five: Mind Dance

Yo! Captain Marvel (Jerry O'Connell) guest stars in this ep where Booster Gold visits Fawcett City to help the Big Red Cheese on a case involving the wormlike Mr. Mind (Billy West in a dual role), only to land himself at Fawcett Academy and meeting Headmistress Patricia "Dirty Trixie" Ruthless (Maylo Aames) and the second-generation Hero High gang! But, the real story involves teen heroine Miss Magix (Cree Summer) and her mother, the original Misty Magic (special appearance by Jerelyn Fields), who has gained some very dark mind-control and illusory powers and calling herself Minddancer! Now, it's mother versus daughter, as Booster and Billy Batson (Shane Haboucha) must help Billy's friend Missy bring her mother Misty out of the dark side and back into the light before it's too late! Plus, there's that Mr. Mind creep to worry about also!

Next: The Atom

250px-AtomPalmer.jpg

Main Voice Cast:

Ray Palmer/Atom: John C. McGinley
Jean Loring: Amanda Bearse
Ryan Choi: Masi Oka

Episode One: The Floronic Man

Pamela Isley (Diane Pershing) guest stars in this episode where Ray Palmer enlists her help in stopping a dangerous colleague and former mentor of hers named Dr. Jason Woodrue (David Warner), who is conducting some very nightmarish experiments involving plants! But, could it be Pamela, as Poison Ivy, that's helping Jason, as the Floronic Man, conduct those terrible experiments when the creatures encroach upon Ivy Town? It's something that the Atom's got to find out if he wants to ever get out of this predicament alive!

Episode Two: The Atom and the Ant!

Get ready for a modern-day, real-world take on a classic Hanna-Barbera superhero when Ray Palmer is introduced to a young scientist by the name of Dr. Anthony Maxwell Adams (Adam Wylie), who is here from Seaboard City for a symposium on insects at Ivy University! But, when he becomes the subject of a unfortunate experiment involving himself and a carpenter ant, his physiology is altered at an astonishing rate into that of a human-sized ant with some amazing superpowers, including shrinking to the size of an ant! Well, say hello to the new Atom Ant when he helps the Atom deal with the Killer Moth (Thomas Haden Church) in this episode!

Episode Three: Formicida

Speaking of ants, This Atom-centric episode is an animated remake of the live-action Wonder Woman episode of the same name, without the environmentalist terrorist angle! Instead, it deals with a colleague of Ray's named Dr. Helena Janus (special voice over by Lorene Yarnell), who needs Ray's help in dealing with her daughter Irene (Lacey Chabert), a bullied teen with the metahuman power to control ants on a grand scale! And, when Irene, now as the gothic Formicida, unleashes millions of fire ants upon her cruel classmates at Gardner Fox High School, the Atom must find a way to corral the dangerous ants and bring the young girl's telepathic powers under control before it's too late!

Episode Four: Dark Heart - Director's Cut

This episode of Justice League Unlimited is being reshown with as an Atom episode with additional scenes and a narration by Atom's voice actor, John C. McGinley, as the Atom is called by the Justice League to help deal with an alien war machine that's terrorizing a nearby town and quite possibly, the entire Earth, if not stopped! Plus, John C. McGinley interviews the Atom himself, Ray Palmer, in this episode!

Episode Five: The Mis-Adventures of Big Giganta and Ryan, the Boy Atom!

What happens when Dr. Palmer's new assistant, Ryan Choi, breaks into the lab and takes the Atom costume for a "joyride" to score some hot chicks! But, be careful what you wish for dude, because you might not get what you bargained for, as Ryan finds himself at Murakami Stadium enjoying a concert with a rather tall girl! Problem is, that pretty redheaded Amazon is none other than Giganta (Jennifer Hale), and when Ryan tries to rebuff her advances, he is about to find out that hell hath no fury than a giant woman scorned! Can this junior Atom find a way to escape getting stomped by his new "girlfriend?" And, how will he explain this misadventure to Dr. Palmer? It's a hilarious adventure of gigantic proportions in this episode!
