What was the last movie you watched? Part 2

Exhilarating and creative sequel to the excellent 5th movie, the Carpenter sisters make great heroines, Jenna Ortega in particular is tiny in stature but a huge screen presence. The New York setting really adds to the atmosphere.

The second is Still.

Asteroid City

While I don't think it's as great as The French Dispatch, as far as the three act structure goes, it's still a fun watch with the typical, vibrant cinematography you'd expect from Wes Anderson. All of the main players and even side actors get a moment or two to shine, even those who only appear in the film for one scene.

I disagree. It’s far better than The French Dispatch.

Been curious about this one (mostly because of Hamill). Is it worth watching?

Extraction 2

I highly enjoyed this. One could complain about it as a non stop action movie without any major character development etc, but then again similar action filled well appreciated films like the Raid series or the John Wick flicks would suffer from this as well IMHO. I was expecting action and high tension, and I got it. Very well made and with likable characters that you (at least I did) care for. Some emotional moments as well that to me felt real.

I was constantly worrying that Nik or Yaz (characters I really cared for here) would die in battle, and as I guessed the latter didn't survive. It they do another sequel at least I hope Nik comes back, she was awesome.

I enjoyed it and honestly it might be one of the better comedies I've seen in a while. I'm not familiar with Bert Kreischer at all but didn't mind him as the lead and Mark Hamill is easily the best part of the movie IMO. I really wish he would do more straight up comedies, because he can be hilarious at times.

Chevalier

I didn't expect this movie to open with an 18th-century episode of Epic Rap Battle with violins and Mozart but here we are.

No Hard Feelings

If Jennifer Lawrence fought like that in The Hunger Games, she would have won every year.

Asteroid City

Yeah, I'm pretty confident after watching this that Wes Anderson has seen Prometheus and Bob from Kablam!
