I find it funny that Luke acted like so much more of a badass in Jedi than the future Darth Vader ever did throughout the prequels.

Catman said:I just finished watching Jedi on Cinemax. It's been a while since I last saw the film so hence why I just realized this.
I love Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back. Yet I was never too crazy about Jedi. It's good but not...great...you know? It has a lot of flaws and I wasn't too crazy about how somethings were handled.
But, even with all the flaws this movie has it still is a hundred times better than the Prequels. Even better than Revenge of the Sith. Although Sith has a better ending. lol. The party with the "Teddy Bears" was one of the things I wasn't too crazy about. lol.

it's called 'The Chronicles of Yoda K'aakk'
No doubt about that.amazingfantasy15 said:I find it funny that Luke acted like so much more of a badass in Jedi than the future Darth Vader ever did throughout the prequels.
Warhammer said:Oh, come on. It had:
- The death of Yoda.
- Han Solo being rescued by Luke Skywalker, the Jedi Knight.
- Lando and co destroying the Death Star.
- The revelation that Leia is Luke's sister.
- Luke, Vader, and Emperor in the Death Star.
- Vader's redemption and the prophecy being fullfilled that Anakin Skywalker destroys the Sith.
why, exactly?
We're still waiting for reasons why...
Except that it's totally meaningless if you don't define what 'generic 80s direction' entails.1. Generic `80s direction from Richard Marquand. I said that already.
Pardon them for not having CGI.2. The Jabba scene was packed with Jim Henson muppets. Even though Muppets have been around since the `60s it was in the `80s when we got a bunch of Jim Henson muppet movies.
Didn't they get away with it in 1999 with TPM and the Gungans, though?3. Anything with the Ewoks a/k/a the Teddy Bears. Only in the `80s could you get away with such nonsense.

Have you never seen an `80s movie in your life? I think its pretty obvious what a generic `80s movie looks like. Just look at stuff like Police Academy and s--t. Look at the camera work and lighting. We all know ROTJ doesn't have as many iconic images as the first two films. And, thats cause of the generic approach.
What movie have you been watching? We all know ROTJ doesn't have as many iconic images as the first two films. And, thats cause of the generic approach.
Yes, cause CGI is what I said they need. Right. They could have just used regular puppets like Yoda and Jubba for example. Instead we get Jim Henson muppets. I have nothing against Jim Henson muppets but it does date the movie. Muppets are mostly a TV thing. It was in the `80s when they exploded onto the big screen. Seriously, when was the last time you saw a Muppet on the big screen?
But the kids loved it, much like the kids loved the ewoks. What?! Lucas got away with nothing in the prequels. The movies made money because the Star Wars fanatic just have to watch any crap Lucas makes for them. Most people (myself included) hate the prequels.

Vader pitching the Emperor over the railing? If that's not THE scene that doesn't make you get up and cheer you are dead inside.
