In honor of President Obama's 48th birthday...(and to do our part in Politico to reduce the Hype's lag problem,) we now have a NEW Barack Obama thread!

Discuss.

Yeah but is it really his birthday? Or is it just the 48th anniversary of the proof of his birth?

By the way the link in the 2.0 thread links to the new GIF thread, not this one.

PRESIDENT OBAMA BRINGS JOURNALIST BIRTHDAY CUPCAKES
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2009/08/04/president-obama-brings-journalist-birthday-cupcakes/

President Obama celebrated his 48th birthday Tuesday by… meeting with the Senate Democratic Caucus. But he also marked the occasion by accepting a happy birthday call from Russian President Dmitri Medvedev. And he stopped by the briefing room to greet veteran White House scribe Helen Thomas, also celebrating a birthday today (her 89th.) Thomas began reporting from the White House in 1960 — the year before Obama was born.

God, I hate dumb graphics like that.

I agree that the Obama/ Joker poster is ridiculous. The Joker was an anarchist, not a socialist.

Yeah, its just terrible that Obama is getting satire thrown at him like most Presidents...

Don't they know who he is?

Now, this one is ok of course...

Even though I don't agree with it, I find it hilarious.

As you should. You know why? Because it is funny! People get so f'n defensive about Barry O. When people call him a socialist, its not as if they are insinuating he is a full blown, worker revolution, Marxist. But a lot of his policies by their very nature are socialist. Thus people call him a socialist. It is hyperbole. It is like when Bush's opponents call him as stupid as a chimp. Obviously the man is not stupid. He is an Ivy League graduate. But satire is funny when it is exaggerated. That is why the Socialism picture is funny and Mallard Fillmore (the only satire void of hyperbole or jokes for that matter) is not.

I think we should stick to things that involve President Obama. :cwink:

Meh, what Bush and Obama have been doing isn't socialism, it's tyranny. :cwink:

The funniest thing is that it's not even them that should take most the blame. But everything needs a face, and that's all the president really is anymore.

It's the international banking cartel. Rothschild family, Rockefeller family, et al. Bush and Obama are just their puppets.
