Yeah, I think Whedon's even stated that he thinks that was a ridiculous storyline, just put in more considerate terms, so I doubt that is something they will ever go through with.

Haha yeah. Maybe Whedon saw an early clip of Godzilla and was so impressed by their chemistry, he decided they should play Pietro and Wanda.


Certainly gives credence to the thought that they're going to play up in incest angle.

And I've yet to see where people get any real evidence that they're even thinking of going that route.

LOL, there isn't any. And I'm almost 100% positive that it's not something we have to worry about. I was just kidding. Though I do think it's funny that they are playing husband and wife in one movie and brother and sister in another.

Phew, thank god, because I was thinking, "oh lord, not another one", lol. I can't believe there are people out there who want to actually see that. I don't think Whedon would even consider it because it was so stupid and negatively received in the comics itself.

Maybe they want Quicksilver as a dorky character, as Banshee was in First Class.

Also, they are probably trying to do something very different from what will likely be done in Avengers 2.

I don't think they had to go this far to differentiate from Avengers 2, I think this is just what Singer wanted to do with the character in the first place.

True, they probably are. I still can't believe that both films are going to feature the character. You would just think, given the number of other characters in each film, ONE of them would have relented and scratched him.

they're not even going to be recognizable to each other outside of using super speed anyway so it doesn't really matter. Do we even know if they can use the name Pietro here? I haven't seen them call him by his real name yet. Just Maximoff on the mailbox and Quicksilver the rest of the time.

Bryan SInger also mentiones they Informed marvel of plans to use Quicksilver.I know some want to believe they only used QUicksilver because Joss Whedon mentioned he was going to use quicksilver.

Should be a interesting dynamic to see, though I never got the impression from any past portrayals, especially in FC, that Magneto had a kid running around (pun not intended).

Which leads me to believe that he's rapidly aging. That he's not as old as he appears. His physiology is accelerated. And he may only be as old as the little girl.

The way I read it I thought he was just talking about what his research on the character told him about Pietro. I don't think it's confirmation Quicksilver will be known as Magneto's son in the film. He did mention a brief exchange when they first meet, but I don't think that's going to be any different than the look Kurt and Mystique shared in X2.

My impression as well. Hell I'll take a hint over nothing. This film is busy enough already, but laying the roots to develop later would be appreciated.

That's interesting...his style is a bit childish looking..but I'd rather that not be the case.

Yeah, I just find it weird though that if Magneto knows that he has a mutant son, why has he never been mentioned, especially in FC when they were recruiting mutants since Quicksilver looks older than 10 years old...unless of course we're going with the "rapid age" theory.
