Thank you Netflix for bring saving us.

Too many WB shows on the network, maybe?

Trade speak: Producers WBTV will now retain 100% ownership of #Sabrina. Would have been a co-pro with CBS TV Studios if it was picked up at The CW.

... makes me think it was less CW saying no and more WB not wanting to share. Then factor in how having Riverdale on Netflix gave the show a bigger boost than they had when they premiered on the network, and like Fincher said, they only have so many timeslots...

Sooner or later The CW has to start shedding its superhero shows.

Yeah, CW it pretty heavy with WB productions.

Hope it doesn't limit crossover potential.

I don't know if it's so much shedding the ones they have as it is not continuing to add more on.

When they were just about to rev up Legends, I seem to recall hearing that that would be it for the DC shows. Come a year later, CBS was going to most likely cancel Supergirl, so they swoop in and save her. Then a year after that and FOX wasn't going forward with Black Lightning, so they took on that one as well.

I feel like Arrow is probably closer to the end of it's life than the beginning, Legends always feels kind of superfluous to me, like it could go at any time, and I guess we'll see how Black Lightning turns out. Flash and Supergirl are probably the two that will remain staples for some time.

Guess it depends on whatever deals were made to get this to happen, but I hope it doesn't either. Everywhere on Twitter today I saw talk about how much bigger Riverdale was on Netflix than when it premiered on The CW, so maybe they work in a Sabrina appearance later this season and when Netflix makes those episodes available, they highlight that she's got her own show coming on their service later that year or whenever it hits.

If anything, they need to start moving away from Berlanti productions lol. They use him for EVERYTHING...

Well, I mean, the stuff he does is what works for them, so I don't fault them for going back for more, but Christ, when you've only got ten hours in the week... open up Sundays or something, s***.

They act like he is the only guy who can produce DC/Archie properties, I happen to watch all of his shows so I shouldn't complain toooooo much but I think for the most part someone else could do a much better job.

And yeah CW needs to get back their Sunday nights for sure.

They're developing Project 13, so they don't seem in a big hurry to get out of the DC business, but at the same time I suspect DC's streaming service will keep the CW from getting any new major characters (Green Lantern, Blue Beetle, etc.)

I just heard about this. I'm interested in it, but what does Sabrina have to do with Riverdale? Does Sabrina appear in the Archie comics?

Yes that is where the character originated.

They tossed all their comedy dramas on Friday, so yeah.

Netflix made a joke about no discussion about cats and I know we shouldn't take jokes seriously online but...I hope that doesn't mean they're leaving out Salem. I love him

Salem is probably going to be like the Cheshire Cat and be a floating cat head in a cloud when it talks to people and a real cat otherwise

They are adapting the comic, the guy who writes it is an EP, Salem is the same cat we knew in the tv show as he is in the comic. I don't really see it changing.

I mean from a practical stand point I can’t see a puppet being used in this vein.

I reckon he will appear but in the tradition of gritty realism he will just be a normal cat. He'll basically be one of those non talking cats you hear about on the news

Really excited for this show but is this still set in the same universe as Riverdale ?

Being on Netflix now I assume they will keep the universes seperate but that's not guaranteed.

So just finished reading the first issue and that was some dark ****. I think I need to be baptized in holy water type of stuff. But it was a really good read. Can’t wait to read more.

Darker than Archie vs. Predator?

Wait that’s a thing lol.

Edit: yes it is. I can only imagine that Sabrina is though.
