Wtf does he mean take the blue states out? People living there don't count as human beings so really, only look at the people that matter in states that voted for me?

Of course the answer to that is yes, but this ticks me off that crap like this is said and everyone's still just *shrug*, "what can ya do?"

The idea being that blue states are run so poorly, that it's THEIR fault; not his that the US numbers look so bad.

I really do wish pain and suffering upon this man.

I don't believe it's a good idea to go after someone because their political opinions are different. That being said, this guy is a flat out crook and if he's broken the law, he becomes fair game.

Thing is he hasn't benefitted from that debacle of clearing Lafayette Park. It didn't raise his numbers, it got no one on his side who wasn't already and even among his own supporters it moved the needle in no appreciable way.

I think the manner really added to that. It was very obvious, very visceral. You had reporters in the thick of it, and it looked like they were in a war zone. All for a BS photo op with a book he has clearly never read. If they could do it in a different manner, they would have and it probably wouldn't have got the same reaction.

Probably got that idea from his buddy Kim Jong Un.

Instead of the 1776 Commission they should have called it the American Fairytale Commission.

This is a barely dog whistle response to that project about American Slavery. Look at the naming. It is a wink to White Nationalist types or those that used to complain about "revisionist history" whenever modern scholarship clashed with the myths people of a certain age learned in grade school about the past.

This is a bit of a new front and a troubling one. Conservatives have targeted text books as an arm of mass misinformation in the past. Google how Texas has in the past forced a conservative approved curriculum on the nation as a whole because of its outsized buying power in regards to text book purchasing. If the RWNJ are putting education seriously in their sights not just to defund more but to aggressively promote some kind of whitewashed or Pro-Right agenda is nit gonna end well.
