Coronavirus outbreak

1,564 the latest number of daily deaths from the U.K., a new high. :csad:

Update: the side effects escalated to body aches, chills, and fever.

Meanwhile, my boss is like “yeah my arm got a little swollen.”

People are always asking when will restrictions on our lives will be lifted and when will normality return. I look at it this way;

Remember when we were all kids and stuck in a long car journey with our parents? We'd always ask "Are we there yet? " and they'd usually give a cryptic reply like "Oh soon! Don't worry!". Well our parents usually were just saying whatever to get us to shut up but eventually we did arrive at the destination.

We've been told by our national governments that the end is in sight many times, but this time I think they're right. We have vaccines now and as we can see even a few on the Hype have gotten theirs already. In my country, the UK, we will be vaccinating 2 million a week by mid February. That's quite a pace for a country of over 60 million people.

I don't think 2021 will be "lost". We just have to be patient. The journey is nearly over.

Vitamin D and zinc are also super important, especially the former for your immune system. Supplements, oysters (canned even) and hemp seeds are amazing for their mineral contents

Oh I hope you're right, I really do. At least six months of 2020 was truly crappy, many of us were hoping 2021 would be the saving grace, but here we are once again..

Its gonna be 2022 / 2023 by the time we get back on our feet across the world. People are having way too many expectations of a return to 'normality', far too early on this.

France are instituting a 6pm curfew.

Wish me luck. Because of my job, I will be getting the vaccine on Monday. I’m not going to lie, I am little nervous. I don’t like needles lol .. seriously, I hope this vaccine truly works and hopefully things will go back to somewhat normal later this year.
Congrats, hope it goes smoothly for you. I'm right there with ya on the needle-phobia too, lol. But if ever there's a time worth braving it for, it's this.

I can’t stand shots but for some reason I don’t feel afraid of this. Maybe because I’ve spent almost a year now being afraid of COVID.

My state, MI, has just said they are projecting the general public will get access to the vaccine in August. So yeah, looks like 2021 is a wash. Though, things will get better, as the vaccines will help.

Agreed, but unfortunately that’s how these things go... :csad:
Maybe we could get a variant that eats the original Covid-19 virus. Wouldn’t that be something? :up:
