I just woke up... did we really get our first look at Keaton's costume?!

So Keaton will wear a full grey ruffalo style mocap suit possibly? Or maybe a large portion of his costume will be mocap. Unusual choice especially with how advanced tech has come along with regards to costumes and fabrics. The MCU does a fantastic job with the costumes. DC has been quite good but certainly there have been some overly busy bulky misses. I hope the costume isn’t too crazy armored and iron manned out

He did wear the Birdman suit (at least for a photo shoot) granted that was a few years back.

He was also de-aged as well in Birdman and I thought it looked pretty good.

Wow I can't believe I missed this, but what an awesome way to start off my birthday weekend. I love seeing that classic, yellow oval back and I hope we see as much of Keaton in a practical suit as possible. I know there's going to be some CGI enhancements, but if done right it should look pretty much seamless.

Considering how much changed from back in the day in terms of Costumes, i do think it wouldnt be as bad as it was during his time.

Who knows, i have never heard of the guy that claims it will be CG so i dont give a damn at the moment.

I just wanted to add, the first thing that comes to my mind seeing that Andy post, was that manip I saw some times ago.

And honestly, I wouldn't mind ...
Without going full TDKR armor (we just got it), a more armored chest piece would make sense for an older Batman. The ideal would be to revamp some of that industrial visual language Anton Furst developped back then, to create something unique and true to that beloved universe from 30 years ago.

Yep, the thing is, the Burtonverse already had a really strong visual uniqueness three decades ago.
To replicate its feeling (otherwise it would probably be a deal-breaker for me and 90% of the other fans), they have to use some of the old tricks. Practical costumes and sets, good old traditional matte painting for backgrounds, everything that comes or takes place in this world should be treated as it was then.
Honestly, I would even go so far as to reproduce the grain in the image, aha.
