DC Television Suicide Squad’ Spinoff Series ‘Peacemaker’ Starring John Cena From James Gunn Set at Max

I'm going to be disappointed now if
a bearded Ezra doesn't make an appearance as Buried Alien in GOTG 3.

The finale was solid, but there weren't a lot of surprises and went pretty much how I suspected. I'm wondering if the Season 2 renewal
Kept Gunn from killing off team members in the finale. I am curious how he's going to get the team back together. And if Goff will be on Team Peacemaker

The finale was pretty great and kudos to James Gunn for being able to convincingly pull off that cameo scene even if it was kind of obvious that two of the members were clearly body doubles.

It was still really cool to see those characters show up anyways and I think it definitely adds something to this show overall as far as its place in the greater DCEU which I can definitely appreciate.

I hope we get more stuff like that in Season 2, and I have to agree that Amanda Waller should have a much bigger presence in this show and should be a much bigger deal than what we've seen so far.

I think it would be a huge, missed opportunity if Gunn didn't utilize her as the main villain of Season 2 given how much crap she's going to have to clean up and that there will definitely be consequences for the teams' actions.

I'm glad they didn't kill off Harcourt because I was genuinely worried there for a second and I find it very interesting that Groff is still sticking around after Peacemaker pretty much killed all of his people not to mention the main foodsource. I do like the character though, and it does add a nice dynamic to the team especially since Murn is dead.

Gunn should include Katana (Karen Fukuhara) and June Moone (Cara Delevingne) in season two, or maybe a cameo appearance.

Katana for sure since I thought she should've been included in The Suicide Squad anyway. She has plenty of reason to go after Peacemaker for killing Flag so that's her in right there. All they'd need to do is accommodate her shooting schedule for The Boys.

As for June, if Cara Delevingne was never in a movie or show again, I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. :o

The finale was ok and I'll give the whole season a 7½/10. Some things in the finale just seemed to happen way too conveniently (Economos crawled with a broken leg that quickly, not to mention walking??) and Eagly's disappearing act was puzzling.

Great episode. Not my favorite of the season, but it was fun.

Overall, great ****ing show. Right now Peacemaker is the most well developed character in the entire DCEU :funny:. Can't wait for season 2.

And those cameos were ****ing awesome, so of course the Snydercult is mad.

Really enjoyed the finale. Not really sure why Gunn felt a need to be so secretive about it; the cameos were kind of “meh” to me since the two out of the four people I would have actually liked to see were the ones that weren’t really there. I also hope Peacemaker isn’t going to be haunted by his A-hole dad forever. Once in a while is okay but I would rather not see him appear in every episode next season.

All in all, great show and I look forward to season 2. The scene with Chris and Harcourt towards the end actually made me tear up.

It was a much better series than i was expecting. The cameos were fun. Sad that one is relegated to the shadows from now on.

The only thing i dont like is Gunns continued treatment of Waller. He makes her look incompetent when this woman stands w/Batman in thinking ahead but Gunn keeps making her look like a fool. Not to mention he originally planned to kill her off in TSS.

To be fair, Waller looked like a bigger idiot in the first Suicide Squad movie. Gunn is just being consistent, lol. But I agree; Waller needs to be portrayed as more of a ruthless and calculating threat.

This show was a pure delight. SUPER entertaining, cute, funny, sad, real, and dark.

It's the best thing Gunn has made. Cena surprised me... give that man an Emmy. Vigilante was a welcoming joy, as well.

Who do ya’ll think will show up in season 2? Any other Suicide Squad favorites? I would love to see Gunn’s take on Deathstroke. Imagine Slade’s interactions with Vigilante.

I think they need a more threatening primary antagonist though. The Butterflies were cool but aside from that gruesome scene in the police station, they didn’t seem like that big of a threat.

It'd be great if it took place post-Flash and we got commentary on the universe shenanigans... maybe a Keaton cameo.

Originally I thought that this show might have been too small potatoes for the likes of Margot Robbie and Idris Elba but since we got a Momoa cameo I'd say anything is on the table. I agree with you about Deathstroke, I'd love to see Mangianello brought into the fold here since I want to see him come back and this show seems to be the most appropriate place (for now at least).

Yeah, I wouldn’t mind seeing what Joe could actually do as Slade. Just give him his normal gray hair look and not the stupid Col. Sanders white wig and beard. And no mohawk. The suit can stay though; that was pretty cool.

Fun show. I enjoyed it throughout. Cena is great in this. It was a little much in some spots for me personally, but overall it was a good time.

I would rather Joe M and Cara D were nowhere near this. There are dozens of characters that make more sense.

That cameo was awesome!

I enjoyed this show quite a bit. It was sometimes needlessly filthy which undercut a lot of scenes, but outside of that very solid show. Way better than what D+ was offering with Boba Fett.

Pumped for season 2
