Seems like we're getting a bigger map with Queens being an explorable part ala Ultimate Spider-Man.

Gameplay looks good. I'm liking the way the Symbiote suit plays and looks. The character switching looks like itll make for some amazing sequences.

Curious about this myself. The Kraven tease makes it look like NYC plus a large portion of Queens/Brooklyn up and down the East River. Can't tell if the base city is the same. Seems a little taller and longer, which would make sense to best utilize the new glide feature.



Glad the web wings are making a legit appearance as a tool. I really like having more traversal options for these chase sequences.

I am so hyped for this! The Symbiote, Miles's web wings, Kraven, Lizard, the expanded map to include Queens...everything looks so good.

Switching between characters is going to be so much fun. I wonder if the entire game is like that or only certain sections.

If I had to guess, I'd say you'll probably be able to switch between Peter and Miles outside of missions while in free roam unless one of them is unavailable for reasons pertaining to the story, similar to GTA V.

I thought the same thing. They definitely had that in mind for this and I'm all for it.

Follow up blog with some neat details.

An idea I like seeing is Peter and Miles not only having their own skill trees, but also a shared one. Makes sense to do it that way for a lot of the shared aspects the characters will have, instead of forcing the player to get the same abilities twice individually.

This looks INCREDIBLE! I knew Insomniac was gonna find a way to too themselves. The symbiote suit actions looks amazing!

Looking forward to it, though the footage doesn't move the needle for me. It's a very quick time event-heavy section and I'm sure will be pretty fun, but doesn't do that much for me. The standout there are the web wings, as traversal is such a big part of what does stick out to me with the first and Miles.

The game looks great. Its nice to see Lizard and Kraven in an Insomniac game. Spider-Man has such a great rogues gallery and seeing them in games like this is so interesting. I can't wait to see the rest!

Apart from the iffy Lizard design this looks terrific. I loved the Kraven cut scene, and the symbiote suit combat is so good.

That gameplay reveal was awesome and saved what was ultimately like others have said an underwhelming Showcase despite a couple of other interesting games. Very happy this is still on track for a fall 2023 release. Traversal with the web wings looks like it’s gonna be a blast and glad that an expanded map is confirmed as well as Lizard and Kraven looks like a beast. I never mind QTE and they’ll probably feature into the game as much as the first which I thought were well placed. Can’t wait till they announce preorders.

I wonder if we'll get Sandman and Mysterio? They are the only live action Spider-Man movie villains that haven't appeared in an Insomniac game (I'm eXcluding the Sony movies without Peter Parker and Eddie since we are getting the symbiote anyway).

Lizard was an easter egg in the first game like those two, and now Lizard is appearing in the game.

Just imaging fighting sandman has me hyped. It's crazy to think we still don't know which other villains are gonna be in this aside form Venom.

I just hope any extra villains feature more heavily than the first game's Sinister Six. That part felt like it was over way too quickly for me.

I hope the villains (from the first game) shown in the tablet won't return. Crazy to think they are all possibly in New York and could easily make an appearance because of Kraven the hunter.

Fantastic. Spider-Man PS4 is my favourite game of all time. Miles is also really amazing as well.

Only thing for me on this is I hope this is still Peter’s game. The demo was 75% miles and 25% peter. I want this to still focus on peter and his journey with miles being a side character. Kept wanting to switch back to peter during this demo and got so little of him.

This is my only slight concern, but I hardly even call it one because i trust insomniac completely.

Yeah, I'll agree with you about November. I'd gladly take September or October but November is most realistic.

Yeah, and I honestly would have preferred September if it wasn't for Starfield, but I've been hyped for that one since before the first Spidey game, so I was already having trouble deciding on which to play first.
