A more likeable version of Catalina might be good. She'd have to be much less treacherous though in order to come across as a protagonist the audience can warm to. Have her as the betrayed rather than the constant betrayer Catalina was.

I definitely want to customize female playable characters and switch who I want to use whenever I feel like it. The last time I got to do that are in Marvel Activision games.

Is there any games like X-Men Legends/Ultimate Alliance as I feel like I'm always stuck with 1 playable character with most third person games I've played in the ps4 (especially open world games). The only recent game that I can switch to so many characters is Watch Dogs Legion, but the playable characters in that game are faceless.

Roaming around with 3 to 4 playable characters at the same time would be great as well.

I am trying to be optimistic that they are developing GTA VI smoothly like they haveto especially GTA V was released seven years ago.

However, they are also still updating GTA/RD Online regularly so those could be taking their focus away from GTA VI.

I personally I'm tired of GTA V's map and I don't need to try every new vehicle, weapon and outfit in a 7 year old game. Like in Valhalla I already stopped collecting the free cosmetiXs. Yeah GTA V's map is still big compare to most recent games but everytime I reinstall it, I can't find the urge to play it straight for two weeks. Its like going back to a place you lived before, you reminisce the good old times but you can't find the effort to spend one more day in it. Like I am ready for anew environment already. And there aren't a lot of 3rd person open world games recently set in the modern day world.

I really don't like the multiple characters thing. I don't think it worked for GTA V, and I'd rather they didn't use it again for GTA VI.

Rockstar are a big company with over 2,000 employees so they should have the capacity to do all of this.

To me, Rockstar has released more games and has different studios around the world and is also part of a bigger company T2. GTAV earned more than a billion.

So in terms of resources and manpower, Rockstar can definitely hire like thousands of people to work in GTA VI. Its a game that could potentially sell well for years just for the GTA name alone.

It’s also less work developing a new entry in an IP they know like the back of their hand compared to a company doing a wholly new one with a very different setting to what they had done before.

just won the 3.6 million dollar sports car that turns into a sub on the wheel spin at the casino I was gonna buy it anyway cause I had 11 mil (thanks for that free 1m a month from Rockstar). and since I had the previous sub car (the Stromberg) I was able to sell it back for 1.4m so not only do I have the most awesome car I got it free and I still have 13m!

I hope these 93 projects for the neXt 5 years aren't just eXpansions to their online games. I think about GTA VI every month. I would also like a ps5 remake for III, Vice City, San Andreas, IV and Red Dead Redemption. But even eXpecting one of those remasters to happen is just not realistic.

I hope these 93 projects for the neXt 5 years aren't just eXpansions to their online games. I think about GTA VI every month. I would also like a ps5 remake for III, Vice City, San Andreas, IV and Red Dead Redemption. But even eXpecting one of those remasters to happen is just not realistic.

With GTA V announced for the new gen consoles I highly doubt 6 will be coming anytime soon. The Ps5/Series SX versions will add at least another 10 million in sales like the Ps4/Xbone did after their versions' respective launches.

To be honest, it should have been Red Dead 3 that they announced to port to new gen consoles instead. It's much less of an old game and makes more sense to have remastered versions.

I dunno about a new IP, but I think you are right that their next game will have the main focus be the online component of it. the next GTA will definitely have a robust campaign, though.

Yeah I am not an online type gamer as well.

My prediction, GTA VI comes out in 2023 the earliest. But if they are releasing anew IP first, then they did a great job making it not leak until now.

Anyway for me, its
GTA VI > new ip > any sequels to their previous ips.

Hopefully the neXt new ip is open world, but different from GTA/Red Dead. Heavy sci fi would be awesome.

I like that they said they are working in 46 new ips for the neXt 5 years... because 3 of those should at least come out before 2027 From 2013 to 2021, its basically just GTA and Red Dead. And if they didn't release any new games... then they would get criticisms from fanboys for revealing such a huge number then released 1 game from 2022 to 2026.

They are though lol. GTA VI will just be released more than 10 years after GTA V's release. Half of the waiting is already over.

Has it been confirmed if you own GTA V on PS4 then you get to upgrade to the PS5 version for free? Because I'm tempted to buy it if it isn't mainly because of so many games being delayed this year as well as me wanting to replay the story mode since it's been at least five years for me.

I doubt ps5 owners are going to get a free upgrade with their ps4 disc. Lots of people already have the game, they aren't going to give the upgrade for free.

I think this could have a photo mode, if this is truly a neXt gen update, they should at least add that.

I'm inclined to agree only because it's Rockstar and they know people will pay for their products. I only own GTA V for PS4 because it came with the system in a bundle but if it didn't, I still might have ended up buying it again just because it's GTA and technically only one of two games that Rockstar released for the eighth console generation.

345 million copies though is for the entire franchise... but I wouldn't be surprised if GTA V reaches that number 1st before we get GTA VI.
