Lovely touch, haha. The Batman Set Photos Tease a Tough Winter for Bruce Wayne | Den of Geek
So according to this article, the Gotham Harbor set includes an "Iceberg Fishing Co."
"I arrived on set and there was this guy walking around who was being so over confident," Penry-Jones said. "I had no idea who he was. He was being really friendly, he was telling all these stories, I was like, 'Who is this guy?' I thought he might've been a supporting actor [an extra to you and me]. He kept on talking to me, just really friendly, really nice, and I started noticing things about his costume. He had a brace on his leg and these weird scars on his face, and I thought, 'This is quite a lot of effort they've gone to for a supporting artist...' and suddenly I realized, 'Wait a minute this guy must be playing the Penguin, oh my God that's Colin Farrell!'"
Of course not, Penguin is my personal favorite Bat villain so the Batman Returns take was awful to me (fits right at home with the Arkham loonies). I can’t wait to see what this movie does with him as a major baddie. This might be the best Penguin on screen since Burgess. While I’m almost afraid they may make him too much of a brute like the Arkham games, I hope that we see the “sophistication” and “class” that the Penguin was known for before Returns. He can have a guy ordered to be murdered and then go to the opera. You know the guy who could BELIEVABLY run for a public official position. The man who is a brilliant criminal that even Batman says that the Gentleman of Crime is smarter than the Caped Crusader.lol, that's my truth. I suspect I'm not completely alone in that...
All I know is this can't possibly be any worse than Devito. IMO that might be the most grating, irritating and annoying comic book villain portrayal in all of cinema.
I've grown to really like and appreciate BR too, but he's insufferable. All the screaming and snorting and grunting, my god...
DeVito and Ledger give very similar performances imo.
