For the current list, most of them are alright by me. My reservations would be on the following:

Namor (Ultimate) - Probably not enough information, especially considering he's only been in three issues of Ultimate FF.

Viper - I'll second a previous nomination. Just another gal with guns.

Alex Powers - Never has done anything for me as a character.

Tarantula - I'd like this to be Black Tarantula from Spider-Girl comics. In fact, maybe for some filler, we should bring in some of the M2 characters, like Darkdevil and such.

I say drop Namor (Ultimate). As far as I know, he's pretty much a lot like Namor, but more of a dick. Also, Alex Power rocks, we need to keep him.

Drop Namor (Ultimate) and Viper. Although the Ult Namor bio does have a different power set than Namor, we really don't know anything about him.

Alex's power is gravity manipulation, and I think we have Gravity already, so do we really need another gravity manipulator? (Could be a cool fight between them though.)

Nah, I'm out for this one, but I will still take on the champ if they're up for it.

Anyway, if you're taking them out for being too powerful, you might as well take out Sersi too. She's just as powerful as an Eternal as the others.
Hell, she's even a better transmuter than the Surfer, not to mention all the standard Eternal powers she possesses on top of that.

I actually agree with this. She falls in the same boat as the other Eternals, I just completely overlooked her.

Stepford Cuckoos: Sure, they got defeated last year, but these are three gals, when everyone else is pretty much on their own. If no Red Ghost and apes, no cuckoos, I think.

Legion: Reality warping powers, anything can go with him. I think way too uber.

Hmm, I think I'd rather keep Joseph, as he became a souly unique character in his time. Nate Grey I could see dropping though. His power levels are extremely high (he was compared to as a light version of phoenix). I'll second Nate's removal.

I think you've made a good point. I say instead of having them as the 'Stepford Cuckoos' we should draw them out to several single characters. I'm thinking just the noted ones who've actually starred alone, such as Esme, Mindee, and Sophie.

Legion: Reality warping powers, anything can go with him. I think way too uber.

I'm not against Letion, but I say we need to lable him as Scitzophrenic (or whatever it is where he still has the multiple personalities). He couldn't alter reality back then.

I didn't really like Stepford Cuckoos before. Splitting them up is an idea, but then we'd have 3 very very similar characters. (Pretty much identical with some personality differences).

Reality Warping should be out. (That includes Excalibur.) A lesser powered Legion may be ok (depends how the multiple personalties are used, I guess.)

I easily second Shadow King and agree with Cassandra Nova, if you put a vote her way. I don't know much about the other two, but are willing to agree if Darwin has no information about him and Gaia and slipstream are too wimpy.

Yeah okay, Cassandra's gone. Gaia isn't too wimpy, but rather potentially tuber. She's a reality warper, but after the breaking of the astral plane, she lost some of that power, but it was never really defined what level she ended up at. I think it's just easier to drop her.

Depends on which version of Alex Power we're talking about. I automatically assumed we'd be talking about Alex while he was with the New Warriors, thus meaning he has the powers of the entire Power Pack. He can last quite a few rounds then.

I'd keep Alex Power. I'd prefer the version with all the PP powers though. It'll definitely give him a better chance in the tourney.

How long did Alex Powers have all the powers of Power Pack? Was it only for a short time at the end of the New Warriors run? Is this the current version? If I remember right, he did it for a real short time, and peeved off his siblings for taking their powers; especially considering they are currently all using their respective powers in those lousy miniseries. For me, I'll sign off on it, but I hate taking a moment in time that is so short lived that most people don't even refer to a character being a certain way in regards to their powers. (Kind of how I think we'll be thinking of The Other Spider-Man some time in the future.)

Like I said, I'd go with it. I just thought the end run of New Warriors destroyed the book, and that was one part I didn't like.
