A Flash that looks like a art-deco demon in two of the pics. Huge wings on the cowl there
One pic has a way too clunky feel. It's almost as if some fan designers want the character to look like Iron Man. Where's that trend coming from?
I like the overall art deco design in some pics. The cars in the street, for example.
Some vehicles has a more otherwordly art deco design. Especially one. I don't know what that big black "car" is supposed to be. Maybe a bus?
The train looks a little scary, lol
Captain Cold has a very different look than the usual one.
The cast seems good.
I think Helena Bonham Carter will be a very psychotic Killer Frost.
Burton doing Flash is intriguing, but maybe he's not the right director.
I would have thought it to be closer to the 90s series which has Burtonverse vibes.
The Wachowskis being involved seems like it won't fit in with Burton's usual way of doings films. But it will bring another layer, which is interesting too.
Looking back on it now, The Wachowskis might clash with Burton given that they both have very unique and different styles.
.
While I wouldn't pick Burton as a Flash director, with this one, and several upcoming ones, I had Burton basically directing all the JL member films including Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and Superman.
With this one, I was trying to envision what a Burton Flash film would look like, and how he might approach it , hence, alot of the wilder designs including the spooky black train.
So, I was thinking about Burtons first two Batman films which had that art deco 40s look, while at the same time, I was thinking in terms of a much more futuristic Central city than it's Gotham City counterpart, so it looks more like an art deco, steampunk type of vibe.
I agree with you that there seems to be a superhero suit aesthetic that's leaning into the Ironman designs. The designs I picked came from the Injustice Gods Among Us game, I think.
Actually , come to thing of it, had this really been in the late 90s , the flash suit would probably look more like a updated version of the Shipp suit from the series than the designs here which are
very 21st century in terms of its aesthetic .
As far as the cast goes, I tried to go with alot of actors that Burton has worked with in the past, since that tends to be how he's casted alot of his films.
Like Nolan, he tends to return to alot of the same actors who've worked on his prior films.
I got several of them in supporting roles in this cast.
Depp seemed like he would have been Burton's 1 one choice to play Barry Allen, and I think Carter fits Burton's Killer Frost to a T.
While I don't know if Burton would go with Pitt as RF, it would be fascinating to see Depp and Pitt play off of each other as rivals.
I don't think they ever did a film together, but it looks like there are a few pictures of them together.
