She's really cute and seems like a decent actress. But I just can't get behind this poker face. I SERIOUSLY hope they don't want to show anything and thus have only these shots of her.

It looks to be a part of her character, which is fine if in the right context. From what little we know of her background, she is someone that wears a tough exterior because of many aspects of her past. I think it will crack as the film goes on, which would be an interesting arc.

But nice catchy "headline"!

And she describes specifically what makes it unique (naturalistic camera work etc.), but she doesn't actually say or imply as a whole the film is "A Big Departure".
But yeah again. nice catchy "headline"!

Sad "...that Kennedy feels like she has to defend a female lead.

Man we saw Ripley take over and lead a group of roughnecks in Aliens over 30 years ago.
This is nothing new.
If anything I hope they borrow heavily from that.

If the whole movie plays out visually similar to Aliens with everyone killed, she's the sole survivor, and it's down to Jyn standing alone as Vader finally enters, with her hand on the send transmission button... which she slams, right before he kills her, I'll love it!

If anything, it's really nice to see the amount of Jyn merchandise I've seen at stores so far. It seems they at least tried to correct this mistakes they made early on with Rey merch.
