Final Fantasy XV

I had the game at launch and completed it back then and got all the trophies. I'll just wait until they've stopped working on it entirely before I revisit it because I'm slowly working my way through by backlog of once-new games.

Well. that's that on XV then. They probably weren't going to make all that much off of all that DLC anyway and I was only a bit interested in the fleshing out of the side cast and villain.

Maybe Yoko Taro (Nier, Nier Automata, Drakengard) will be the guy they put through the meat grinder of the next main Final Fantasy game (XVI) besides episodic Final Fantasy VII remake (the latter of which seems like a questionable business model as well.) Who knows. The director of XV has left the company.

US Gamer - Square Enix Producer Wants Yoko Taro to Direct a Final Fantasy Game, Which I'm Sure He'd Do For the Right Price

DualShockers - NieR: Automata Director Yoko Taro Is Thinking About a New IP; Would Like to Work on King's Knight

We also asked Yoko Taro if there is an existing IP owned by Square Enix that he would like to work on. While his response was a “no comment” on our suggestion (made partly in jest, of course) about Final Fantasy XVI, he did mention that he would like to work on King’s Knight, since it’s a shooter game and he enjoys the genre.

A real shame. I was looking forward to some more XV content. Well, let's hope the final Episode is going to be meaty.

Those *******s could have at least finished the work they had announced. Instead of giving fans the finger the second Tabata decided to leave. Square shows once again how little respect they have for their customers.
