Metamorpho Movie Maybe?

I would like to see Metamorpho come to the big screen. With Cg it is finally possible to create the Element man.
What are your thoughts on this? Casting?

I read all the original comics as a kid. He was one of my favorite characters.

Metamorpho would have to have a different look. He looks so ridiculous and would translate horribly to the big screen. A hero who looks as silly as Metamorpho would not be taken seriously in anything but a comic book.

Although his origin has a lot of Indiana Jones possibilties being a treasure hunter.

If anyone, I think I would go for Jason Statham. He already looks like Metamorpho without the colors, plus as I recall, Rex Mason was a ladies man before the transformation and Statham played Handsome Rob in Italian Job pretty well.

I agree that a translation would have to take place. The patchwork colors wouldn't work well. But it's such a good story that you wouldn't have to go with the original look.
